Carolina Hurricanes:

- Tyler Bozak

Toronto Maple Leafs:

- Roland McKeown

===

Toronto clears cap space.
Get's a good d-prospect.
Carolina can put Lindholm on the wing.

TB3

1.) 14 Jul 2017 09:36:24
Leafs add. a 2nd or a forward prospect. Bozak has only one year left.

2.) 14 Jul 2017 11:54:08
Ill pass on that from the leafs. Personally don't think McKeown will be become anything more than a depth defenceman. Would prefer to acquire a draft pick instead.

3.) 14 Jul 2017 20:25:14
I'm with Charles. Would have to be a better D prospect. I trust hunter to pick the right guys more than take another teams leftovers. Don't see mckeown as any more promising that. 3-4 leafs already have on Marlies. Is he a big upgrade over Nielsen, Dermott and valiev? Also he's not a guy that can step right in, leafs have those 3 at about the same level and just selected 3 more D that are a cpl years away. Make it a pick or a more ready defender.

4.) 14 Jul 2017 23:45:30
I'd do it for the leafs. Great skating right hand d man, entry level deal. Just cause he's low on the stacked Carolina defence ladder doesn't mean he has no value. Good trade.

5.) 15 Jul 2017 16:40:37
Just don't see mckeown being 1) better or 2) more NHL ready than the 3 Marlies D that were great last year in the AHL and deserve a look from the big team first. Getting marleau, hainsey and Moore shows leafs brass wanna try to win while guys are still on entry level deals because it gets harder after that. Losing a really solid 2 way centre with decent offense, good Faceoffs numbers and plays all situations for a guy to battle with 3 or 4 others for a 6th or 7th d spot seems like a step the wrong way.

15 Jun 2017 10:23:24
So there's a ''really strong rumour'' that there is a swap of players between Tampa Bay and Montreal.
Something like this is what I've heard.

Montreal:
- Johnathan Drouin

- 3rd round pick

Tampa Bay:

- Alex Galchenyuk

- 1st

This doesn't make sense to me. But it might for you.

Also; the source is NOT credible.

TB3

1.) 15 Jun 2017 12:20:24
What I saw was Drouin for Chuck + 1st.

I know people might disagree and I admit the value is most likely there, BUT from TB perspective I'd still say no and here is why: TB needs Drouins playmaking and creating ability way more than they need Galchenyuk who's more of a shooter (as evidenced by hitting 30 goal but not 30 assist plateau) . Their contracts should be around the same I guess. And the 1st will be a mid-late first, so I'd prefer keeping Drouin from a needs-standpoint.

2.) 15 Jun 2017 17:28:05
Yeah no way Tampa does either trade.

3.) 16 Jun 2017 23:07:10
I could see the players being traded one for one without picks involved. Bergie's too stingy to give a 1st away with Gally.

13 Jun 2017 11:02:20
New York Rangers:

- Jordan Eberle (800k retained)

Edmonton Oilers:

- Brady Skjei

=============
Think NYR could use a scoring winger since Nash is pretty much worn out.

Helps Edmonton fill in Sekera's spot while he heals with his torn ACL. Hopefully he will eventually replace Sekera as well.

Good PP QB for the Oilers.

TB3

1.) 13 Jun 2017 11:38:06
Rangers say no. They have high hopes for him especially with Girardi and Staal declining. They want to boost and get younger on the D I think.

2.) 13 Jun 2017 12:06:52
No from NY.

Basically for the reasons yup said.

Plus, Skjei was largely ovelooked this year because Werenski was apart of the defenseman rookies. He had 40 points and him/ McDonagh could be really good in the future.

3.) 13 Jun 2017 13:56:17
Huge no from New York. I'd trade McDonagh before Skeij. Maybe a 1st for Ebs.

4.) 13 Jun 2017 15:03:54
NYR need D way more, especially after they inevitably buy out or get rid of one of Girardi or Staal.

5.) 13 Jun 2017 15:08:49
Oilers need a right handed dman.

6.) 13 Jun 2017 15:10:15
TB3
Not happening. got to offer up significantly more to attain Eberle.

Edmonton offers Juju in lieu of the vast undervaluation on your part for a top 6 winger.

7.) 13 Jun 2017 16:33:41
No from NY.

8.) 13 Jun 2017 17:15:07
Watch some other teams play once and a while BS Trade4all.

9.) 13 Jun 2017 19:38:57
Lol jk I guess Oilers need another left handed dman to add to the other 9 of them?

10.) 13 Jun 2017 20:24:16
Yeah that's an easy no from NYR.

11.) 13 Jun 2017 21:51:12
It's a no for NYR. I don't know if it's a really easy one. But once again leave it to FT4A to take the argument so far the other way it loses all credibility.

12.) 13 Jun 2017 23:37:54
McJesus you tool, doesn't matter if Rangers had 50 LHD, EBerle doesn't touch Skjei.

13.) 14 Jun 2017 21:14:39
OILers not rangers*.

14.) 14 Jun 2017 21:26:55
Hotguy
You wish. Ebs is worth 10x what that ELC'er is worth.

15.) 15 Jun 2017 01:01:37
@Ftfa
Right I forgot.
When's Eberle being traded for Provorov and the 2nd Overall again?

10 Jun 2017 20:14:35
Edmonton Off-Season Targets/Predictions
============

Nick Bonino (could be a cheaper replacement for RHN, good two-way) 2yr 2.88 mil?

Trevor Daley (Could fill Sekera's spot because Sekera tore his ACL) 1yr 4.0 mil?

Would also love if they somehow added Jeff Skinner to the McDavid-Draisaitl line. RHN+ would be going back.

TB3

1.) 11 Jun 2017 17:28:07
Skinner is one of Carolinas few 'lethal' offensive players, with Aho/ Teuvo being the others. Don't think Carolina trades him for a more defensive player.

ALso, Bonino will get at least 3.5/ 3 years.

2.) 13 Jun 2017 10:42:34
RNH minus going back.

28 May 2017 01:10:46
Dallas Stars:

- 2017 22nd overall pick

- Jordan Eberle

Edmonton Oilers:

- Julias Honka

- 2017 39th overall pick

=======
In my opinion, Honka is better than Eberle in value. Because of Jordan Eberle's poor performance and bad contract. (and Honka being right-handed) Also, defencemen are more valuable than forwards. Especially if the defenceman is right handed and can control the PP.

Honka fits Edmonton's needs (right handed PP QB) And he is NHL-Ready.

Chiarelli is looking to get a second round pick according to an article I read.

Oilers can select Jake Oettinger (G) with the 39th overall pick.

Dallas can pickup a good defenceman at 22. Jordan Eberle can still be a really good scorer for Dallas. Especially if he plays with Benn and Seguin.

TB3

1.) 28 May 2017 05:15:44
Don't like it for Dallas would rather keep Honka see what he turns out to be.

2.) 28 May 2017 10:18:58
Like I for oil for sure.

06 Jul 2017 20:39:29
In my opinion if Draisaitl wants more than 6.5 million dollars, I'd just let him go. If I was GM I would not pay a player 7 million dollars who can't even produce as well if he had his own line. The Oilers tried putting him on the second line with Eberle etc and it didn't work. He is asking for around 8 million dollars I heard.

There is no way that I'm going to pay you that much if you can't produce without McDavid. Maroon scored 27 goals and had 42 points on McDavid's wing. Maroon is a third line winger at best. He would have scored around 20 points on the third line.

Do you think he's going to be asking for 5 million dollars per yer because he played with McDavid? No.

Sign somebody cheaper.

TB3

1.) 06 Jul 2017 21:05:09
lol, are you serious?
I'll take him for $8M a year. Habs still have over $9M left in cap space with 22 players signed.

2.) 06 Jul 2017 21:20:52
Actually, Maroon is probably going to ask for 4.5 million plus. He got points, and although it was from McDavid, he can use it as leverage in negotiations. If Edmonton isn't going to pay him, he'd walk.

as for Drais, idk. 6.5 is a way undercut. he's a good player. i agree not 9 million plus, but 8 is reasonable.

3.) 06 Jul 2017 23:51:27
Drais is definitely worth $7-8. It's hard to say if he'll ever get 70 something points again, but the skill set is there. It would be interesting to see him center the 2nd line all season and only be with McDavid on the PP. Regardless, he is a young power forward that are hard to come by.

4.) 07 Jul 2017 02:53:34
I can't see him signing for 6.5 or less. the way he played in the playoffs last year alone gets him more then that.

5.) 07 Jul 2017 05:03:36
I think 7mil would be fair

6.) 07 Jul 2017 08:56:24
You guys will pay a player that can't produce on his own 8 million dollars per year?

8 million per year is a good number one center.
Without McDavid, Draisaitl would have gotten maybe 50 points this season.

7.) 07 Jul 2017 14:48:49
I'd take Drais on the leafs for 10 mil.

8.) 07 Jul 2017 17:29:18
nylander your crazy.

9.) 08 Jul 2017 15:19:33
So you're arguing Drai isn't worth the money because he didn't work with a player who couldn't score in the playoffs regardless of whom he played with (Eberle, 2A total) in spite of Drai leading the team in playoff scoring, and being clutch when even McD wasn't putting up major points, and also that he was completely dependant upon McD to get all his point in spite of only playing half the season with him and still ending up top-10 for scoring in the league?

Thank god you have zero ties to the Oilers organization.

10.) 08 Jul 2017 19:16:15
Topshelf, If Drais was a UFA and wasn't Qulified by the Oilers. You wouldn't take him for 10mil?

11.) 10 Jul 2017 01:15:29
That was the longest sentance ever chirp. Someone must have got under your skin.

12.) 11 Jul 2017 22:09:22
@nylander
not with the contracts we have coming up.
plus, we were talking RGA, not UFA. if drais was a UFA teams would be going up to 11mil easy.

13.) 14 Jul 2017 13:58:49
Exactly top shelf on the open market he'd be worth 11 mil.

14.) 19 Jul 2017 22:05:15
TB3. sayin. 8 mill is a good number one centre is outdated. Mcdavid is at 12.5, toews is 10.5 (signed 2 years ago) Tavares will be over 10 by this summer. Crosby and malkin are only under because their deals are 4 years old, Matthews will be over 10 by next summer. 7.5-8 is a good centre in today's game. Not a top tier. If you don't think draisatl is a top centre then there are 10 teams out there who need one and feel he is. Bob Mackenzie reported that draisatl wanted a 5 year extension last summer in the 5mill range and oilers challenged him to show he deserves it. He blew expectations away. Now he would laugh at the 5x5. Much like subban wanting 5x5 and habs giving him the bridge at 3.5 and he wins a Norris. Then it cost them 8X9mill.

05 Jul 2017 21:14:21
Oilers still have 18 million in cap space for this season.

Oilers sign Jiri Hudler (1yr 2 million AAV)

Oilers sign Cody Franson (1yr 1.25 million AAV)

Oilers sign Erik Gelinas (1yr 1.25 million AAV)

The signings help the Oilers fill two holes in the roster.
Scoring RW (since the Eberle departure)
PP D-man. (Sekera is out until January with torn ACL)
Depth D-man (Our depth on defence simply isn't good, Gelinas provides NHL experience too)

TB3

1.) 05 Jul 2017 23:37:25
Hudler played horrible last season. Dan't see him getting over 1.3 million imo.

Franson will probably get 1.75ish.

Gelinas is complete trash, don't spend anything on him.

2.) 06 Jul 2017 00:24:57
Franson would probably help but I don't think he will sign that cheap.

3.) 06 Jul 2017 02:07:37
No thanks to all 3 them. Maybe Franson for $1M 1 year. Maybe. Lol.

4.) 06 Jul 2017 14:14:24
I'd prefer Pirri for around $1.5-2mil for 1yr. Or Jagr just because he's my fav player of all time.

As far as D, Franson wouldn't be the worst for dirt cheap as a 6/ 7 to swap in with Gryba now and then. I have a feeling there are better options for cheaper or for trade out there tho.

23 Jun 2017 23:09:43
The time is 4:03 Mountain Time And I will make my final top 10 mock draft.

(1) Devils: Nolan Patrick
(2) Flyers: Nico Hishier
(3) Stars: Cale Makar
(4) Avalanche: Miro Heiskanen
(5) Canucks: Casey Mittelstadt
(6) Golden Knights: Cody Glass
(7) Rangers: Gabriel Vilardi
(8) Sabres: Owen Tippett
(9) Red Wings: Timothy Liljegren
(10) Florida: Martin Necas

TB3

1.) 24 Jun 2017 16:53:08
1 for 10, not too bad ;)

22 Jun 2017 17:54:28
Confirmed:

Ryan Strome for Jordan Eberle.

Pros:
- Edmonton get's more cap space
- Ryan Strome gets out of NYI
- Strome could turn it up. I honestly think he can be a great player. NYI just screwed him up.
- Oilers get bigger winger
- Oilers get younger winger
- Oilers don't retain anything

Cons:
- Jordan Eberle might completely explode for 60 points with John Taveras. (But i'm really happy for him. He deserves greatness. We in Edmonton treated him like crap for the whole year)
- Strome might be the same lazy defender as Jordan Eberle. But with less offensive production.

Note:
The only reason Edmonton did this trade is because of salary cap. If Strome doesn't work out i'm perfectly fine with it since his contract ends next season.

P.C could've probably gotten a much better return, but he would have been retaining some cap which I heard he didn't want to do.

Strome scored 50 points in his first NHL season. This is a high-risk high-reward type of trade for Edmonton. I honestly think he will play much better in Edmonton. NYI sent him down to the AHL, publicly criticized the player from the start of his career.

I'm happy with the trade as an Oilers fan.

TB3

1.) 22 Jun 2017 18:07:53
60 points is "completely exploding" when he had 51 last year?

2.) 22 Jun 2017 18:39:52
Told you Oiler haters Oilers wouldn't retain anything on Eberle and that he was worth more than just a 4th round pick or a cap dump.
Although I was maybe hoping for Strome and a 3rd or a little add in or something I am fine with this. The main thing as I said all Along was getting rid of his salary and NOT retaining.
And no, I myself never thought he could get a Hamonic or a Faulk or a Vatanen straight up. I'm not that stupid.

3.) 22 Jun 2017 19:48:19
TB3- Great player is a stretch he has a weak shot and is an Below average skater. He transitioned into a grinding role towards the end of last season he does not have the tool set to become a "great" player. He is more suited for a 3rd line role that being said he has a top 6 playmaking ability. He's a very good passer.

4.) 22 Jun 2017 19:48:36
@Shankar

For Eberle, 60 points is exploding.

5.) 22 Jun 2017 20:09:20
Lol Nylander. You couldn't be more wrong. He actually has a good shot and is a pretty good skater.
He never transitioned into a "grind" role at the end of the year at all. Lucic-Nuge-Eberle was the second line almost the entire last half. He's one dimensional and that's for scoring and when's he's not putting up points he's noticibly bad because he isn't great defensively and has no grit.
His game is to be a scorer
27G 35A career average with two seasons over 65 and one being 73, that's the tools right there to be a "great" player. He Isn't as bad as people make it out to be. Hopefully he "bounces back" in NYI.
And no I am not an Eberle lover by any means. Lol. Glad he's gone. The very last place I would put Eberle is on the 3rd line. Lol.

6.) 22 Jun 2017 20:12:52
The whole strome family looks like junior players only. They don't seem to be good pros. I might be wrong, guess we will see. I do think Edmonton should stop trading with the Islanders. They seem to get fleeced every time.

7.) 22 Jun 2017 21:22:10
Where are you FT4A? Please chime in.

8.) 22 Jun 2017 21:23:54
Yup you do realize I'm talking about strome right? Eberle has a great shot. Skating is better then Stromes but it's still meh.

9.) 22 Jun 2017 22:32:50
Alright sure. Lol
Ya don't expect anything special from Strome. He is still only 23. Hopefully he a great middle six guy. Due for a new contract after this season which won't break the bank by any means. Right handed shot which is what they need on the forward groups with Eberle going out.

27 May 2017 00:12:55
Yakupov back to Edmonton a possibility?

Eberle will most likely will be a gone and that will make a hole in the Oilers' lineup. Puljujarvi might not be ready for the NHL next year.

Hung out with Yakupov on Whyte Ave a year ago. He actually seemed to like Edmonton.

TB3

1.) 27 May 2017 00:46:56
Yak was a very good person off the ice in Edm. He helped the homeless with meals and coffee a lot and took lots of time for autographs and pictures with fans. Always a smile on his face. He was at the rink all the time working out on and off the ice.
I personally do not want him back in Edm and I wish him nothing but the best where ever he plays.
I would rather, if Eberle does get traded, just run with a
Pitlick, Slepyshev, Kassian, Pakarinen/ Puljijarvi/ Free Agent on the right side. I don't wish to see Yak bak in Edm.
I really liked Pitlick last year before he went down.

2.) 27 May 2017 01:02:49
IMO he should try an Eastern Conference team that has nothing to lose. NJ comes to mind.

3.) 27 May 2017 02:01:14
I could see him in Florida or TB on cheap if he stays.

4.) 27 May 2017 04:23:03
Habs should give him a chance.

Nashville not interested in trading their big 4.

Pretty obvious how much they liked them when they chose to protect the four D.

Why do you need feedback so badly? It's not that bad of a trade as you can see by the response (believables, un)

This isn't a real trade, or are you the real Tim Murray?

Idk why this means so much to you to repost it twice just to get a response.
