STL: Schenn (20% retained)
BOS: 1st, Trent Frederic

Frederic is a Schenn esc player, big bodied scorer born in STL and was a 1st rounder in 2016

So the Blues got Schenn for two firsts while also getting rid of a bad contract (Lehtera)
The Blues had Schenn for 1.5 years and that's what the Bruins will have him for on a solid contract.

Schenn is the type of player the Bruins need in top 6, I also think STL is getting a very good return for him, works well for both teams

I like this, maybe the Blues try and squeeze out one more asset because of Frederic’s uncertainty but otherwise I like it.

2.) 07 Jan 2019 18:50:12
If Schenn is being retained salary he’s going to get a better package imo.

So the chances of this happening are very low I just thought it would be fun to see what the Sabres would have to give up for the hometown kid Patty Kane. Sorta makes sense cause CHI NEEEEEEDS to rebuild and sabres are on the rise

CHI:Kane
BUFF: Reinhart, Pilut, Luukkonen, 2019 2nd

Reinhart is a hell of a player, steady incline every single year he has played, really think he could be a PPG player in a couple years. Pilut was the leading scorer for D in the SHL and is only 22, definetly NHL ready and the hawks need help on the blueline now. Luukkonen is a solid G prospect, i honestly think adding a 1st might be a bit much, i think the value is there and it makes sense for both teams. If yall dissagree what do you think Kaners price would be?

1.) 24 Dec 2018 21:55:20
I don’t know much about Pilot but from what you said it sounds pretty good. I just don’t know that Kane gets traded. Although I think it would be smart for Chicago to totally clean house and rebuild - they have the assets to do it quickly if done right - I just don’t think they will.

2.) 25 Dec 2018 03:02:29
Patrick Kane would be one of the few players I would keep if I was chicago.

3.) 25 Dec 2018 05:24:29
I hate to agree with Habby, but well. yeah i agree with habby, i'd trade just about everyone but kaner at this point.

4.) 25 Dec 2018 13:25:32
The way kids come into the league ready to be stars at 18, 19 and 20 now, these bottom teams can turn it around so quickly. Kane at his age will still be a superstar when the hawks are better in a couple years. if they make a couple good decisions.

5.) 27 Dec 2018 06:24:20
Chicago should have kept joel. Q and kane rest is up for trade.

6.) 04 Feb 2019 22:11:03
WHAT ARE YOU SMOKING! Hawks will never trade Kane or Toews any rebuild will be around these two life Hawks. Even if Kane was traded it will be for equal talent and no team is in that postion! Keith or Seabrook will be traded and the Hawks will free up cap space to Panarin for a couple years at 8.5M and push the Hawks back into cup contention!

Doubt STL would trade Pietrangelo within the divison but just throwing out a couple random trades

STL: pietrangelo (would be a great mentor for Makar)
COL: Jost (will definetly be a top 6 forward)
Girard (already a very solid D, could slot in well under Parayko)
Timmins (future top 4 D)

I'm thinking as the blues, you need roster players back. A young D that can play top 4 minutes now, a young forward that can produce now and some other solid prospect. It's tough to judge piets value cause last season he was great and he's had a rough start to this year. The blues definetly have a decent amount of leverage cause he's locked up past this year but there's been a lot of turmoil with the team so who knows.

1.) 15 Dec 2018 20:46:41
Honestly? I like this a lot. Maybe the Blues might want some else, maybe like a pick because this is Pietrangelo we’re talking about, but overall I like the trade.

2.) 15 Dec 2018 21:11:04
I think this is a fair trade for both teams.

3.) 15 Dec 2018 21:41:06
I think it’s too much for petro. I’m a huge fan of petros, but to give up a top 6 centerman, a top 4 d man and maybe I’m just high on Timmins but he has the potential to be a top 2/ 3 d man too. If the blues actually received this offer they’d be foolish not to take it imo. But if they think they have a good shot at winning this year or next then maybe it’s worth it for colorado.

Totally spit-balling here

STL is struggling mightily, crazy with the off-season they had and they still suck

BOS needs a top 6 winger and I've heard Tarasenko's name in a couple rumors.

BOS gets: Tarasenko (20% retained)- makes it 6 mill a year
2019 3rd rounder

STL gets:
Krug- incredibly gifted OFD
Ryan Donato- Similar game to Tarasenko, high end prospect, looks really solid in past few games
2019 1st rounder

STL get pieces back that can still help them win now, with the right linemates, maybe Oreilly and Schwartz, Donato can really develop into a stud, Krug is one of the more underrated OFD in the league, guarantee for 60 points and a great PP QB. Cap is added so Bruins have a little more wiggle room for young player.

Perfect buy low value on senko although Bruins are still giving up a lot

i would do this from a st louis point of view. the main thing i think from boston, do they have the defensive depth to be able to give up a piece like krug?

2.) 11 Dec 2018 03:46:06
Blues laugh at you then just out of spite offer jaybo and steen for macavoy.

3.) 11 Dec 2018 04:00:58
@pkane yea they do, when healthy they have 7 really solid D, with their injuries a lot of guys from the AHL came up and played really well, the only thing is replacing a PP QB like Krug, I think McAvoy can eventually but not yet, just a fun trade idea tho.

4.) 11 Dec 2018 04:03:45
@redwing what do you think the Blues could get for senko? i get that he's a stud but idk how much more teams would be willing to give them.

5.) 11 Dec 2018 05:08:13
I mean the deal isn't horrible but I found the part about krug being guarenteed to score 60 points funny considering he never has.

6.) 11 Dec 2018 05:58:16
Teresenko will not be retained at all for this to work.

7.) 11 Dec 2018 05:58:30
And I wouldn’t even take that package.

8.) 11 Dec 2018 06:23:10
Did it ever occur not to trade your 40 goal scoring player. It's a joke.

9.) 11 Dec 2018 12:29:24
Krug And Saint Louis are not a fit IMO.

10.) 11 Dec 2018 20:14:42
Senko has scored 40 goals once and that was 3 years ago, you're overvaluing him @redwing.

11.) 12 Dec 2018 12:41:10
37, 40 39 33

You don't trade players like that for scraps.

12.) 12 Dec 2018 13:16:33
When you score 33 goals 70 pts on a bad year that means your a freaking great player. Not over rated.

13.) 04 Jan 2019 18:14:39
Any Dman that can put up 40-60pts is worth a TON . i think i would do

Krug - Heinen - Bjork - 1st or 2nd round pick for Tarasenko.

So I saw that Pitt was looking around for options on Kessel. I would think the pens would only trade him to a western team and I immidietly thought of another struggling team that was supposed to succeed, the Blues. Ik they have also looked at option for tarasenko so I think, with a couple of extra pieces a trade could work out there. i'd assume they'd have similar value. What do you guys think?

shmoesports

1.) 06 Dec 2018 02:02:20
I think with taresnko being 5 years younger he would have more value. plus we can assume he'd put up better numbers in Pitts playing with crosby or malkin then he has playing with schenn and o reilly.

2.) 06 Dec 2018 05:27:16
Yeah, tarasenko being younger and signed for an extra year is worth more. Would also be a tough one to pull off because tarasenko has a full NTC and although he may welcome a change and a chance to play with Malkin, Kessel has some say and picks 8 teams he will go to. St. Louis could be a harder sell for him at this point. Interesting thought though.

3.) 06 Dec 2018 18:42:46
Why on gods green earth would we trade tarasenko in his prime for kessel who is tons older. Makes zero Sense. Horrible thought.

Buffalo's tandem has been great this year, no need to change.

Muzzin will 100% get a prospect and 1st+. don't think CAR does that either, why take on a cap dump if you're getting 3rd round picks in return?

Why is hainsey included in the trade? Canes don’t need him and the leafs should definetly want to keep him for their playoff run, as strange as it is to say he’s been a beast this year. Other than that it isn’t bad.

seabrook is still better than zaitsev but there's still no reason the leafs do this, awful trade.
