Blues fans are not willing to part with parayko for anything less than mathews. This is re-iterated all across the hockey boards. Just saying dog armstrong would have a mutiny on his hands.

I see paraykos value as a monster RHD that can skate and move a puck. He's very close to a cornerstone, but if there was a trade you could move a guy like him for it's a big #1 centreman. The only way it happens though is if both have pre arranged contracts in their new cities. Neither side is making this trade just to have to negotiate with a new player. If one comes to terms and the other doesn't, it's career suicide for that GM.

Once again you say #1 centerman. Drais hasn't not proven himself as such. He plays wing with mcdavid. There is a difference between playing the wing for best player in league and being a number 1#center in the league. Just like saying nylander is a #1c they are not do they have potentiAL to be yes, have they proven no.

Oilfan that's the problem. Blues fans are not suggesting this trade. They are all from the oiler fan base. Also big rhd #1 dmen are worth more than wingers. Drais will not have the same numbers once he leaves McDavid's wing.

Blues fans are not wanting to trade parayko for anything less than a proven #1c. Not for an Un proven center who currently plays wing and not for some package. Parayko is going to sign long term with blues and eventually take over for petro.

Also on a side note getting schenn has stabilized the center position. Blues have vladimir ivan barbashev, and berglund to take over third line. robbie fabbri, tage thompson, Jordan kyrou, zach sandford, Robert Thomas who all have a chance to become good centers. Blues are no longer struggling for a center. Why make a hole in their defense for a guy who puts up great numbers with best center in league not as a center himself. Leafs offer nylander oilers offer drais and neither played a lick of center lol.

McRazzle, Hamonics biggest value was his contract. Him and tanev are close in age, both have 3 years left but hamonic makes 600k less which doesn't seem like a lot but it can make a difference in keeping someone else and not. Also hamonic has no clauses as where tanev has a limited NTC in the final 3 years. Flames knew that if things didn't work out or if in that final year they don't plan on re-signing hamonic they control the situation and can move him. Not the same power with tanev. Value on the ice wise you're right, but GMs have to look beyond the ice and beyond this year.

IF McDavid does get $13M per year, and Edm offers $7M per to Drai his camp might say there's no way Drai is $6M less than McDavid. And they could "demand" a little close to. But not the same contract as McDavid, if McDavid gets $13M per. Lol.

I was hoping McDavid $11/ 11.5M per and Drai $7.5/ 8M per.

But now I think it's McDavid $12-13M per and Drai $8-9.5M per.

$12M and $8M would be nice.

IMO Drais will get a contract comparible to Towes on a long term deal. 10.5-11mil 2 mil less then McDavid. IMOthe gap between Drais and McDavid is the same as Malkin and Crosby.
