Trade talk.
To tor. Colin wilson, Seth Jones

To preds Phil Kessel.

Now hear me out, Preds need a proven scorer for now and the playoffs. Leafs need all kinda help.

blueteam

1.) Proven Scorer isn't that what James Neal is 5 goals behind Kessel but 3 mil cheaper and a +15 rating
Kessel 8 Mil -8.

I would love to see Kessel gone and because Poile is the only one who has anything positive to say about Kessel makes him the favourite to be a trade partner for Kessel. But would love to see a young defender come this way like a Seth Jones orRoman Josi and maybe a Center like Wilson or more likely a Craig Smith. Both young and lots of potential

2.) 15 Jan 2015 17:27:56
Most will prolly disagress, but no from the Preds.
Why would the change anything right now? They are scroring more than enough right now. When Rinne is healthy, scoring 2 goals is enough in most nights to earn the W. Scoring 3 almost makes it impossible for any opponent to beat the Preds in regulation.
(future) #1 defenseman are worth more than #1 wingers.

3.) I agree with @bizzybee it would probably be closer value with craig smith and seth jones for phil kessel plus maybe a lower prospect nashville likes. If toronto makes a big deal like this with nashville it would be nice if they could snag their 1st rd pick some how. This kind of trade would signal a rebuild so draft picks will be huge for the leafs.

4.) Bozak, kessel

smith, jones, 1st

one can dream.

5.) If I am Toronto I wouldn't ask for less, but why would the Preds do it?

As Drais said, it's working well right now, no need to mess it up.

Wonder if the Preds would do a deal for Lupul?

6.) I could see a deal around Lupul. Gives Nashville secondary scoring. 2nd and conditional 3rd based on how many games Lupul plays?

Trade idea

To Tor- Mike Richards, Matt Greene, Jordan Nolan

To LA- Dion Phanuef, David Booth,

Thoughts

blueteam

1.) La has no cap room for him

2.) Well that doesn't really improve the d of Toronto.

3.) Greene plays 16-19mins a night, he's also can move bodies in front. Also he brings leadership, and he's 31yrs old. Leafs need Richards for if the make the playoffs he's a leader, and Nolan is a grinder, big body for the 4th line, with speed.

Time for a shake up
To Leafs Mat Duchene and Ryan O'riely 2nd rd 2015

To Avalanche Tyler Bozak and Phil Kessel

blueteam

1.) 22 Dec 2014 04:47:27
how about we don't and say we did?

2.) Kessel for duchene is decent, bozak for ROR isn't even close, plus a 2nd pick which COL
does not have makes no sense

3.) Kessel foe duchene is interesting what are you half outside of your mind u leave haters are ridiculous. Kessel has way more value then duchene

4.) Big no from colorado

5.) Paolozza you're the one losing it. Duchene is younger, has more potential, and a franchise center man. He has more value than Kessel if anything.

6.) 22 Dec 2014 18:20:36
ya cause kessel is old (27)!
lol leafs players always undervalued
top 5 player in goals assists, points in the last 5 years and he is still 27
kessel over duchene any day of the week

7.) 22 Dec 2014 19:26:39
1st trade (Tor. Vs Col.) Kadri, Nylander and 1st dp 2015 for Duchene

2nd trade (Chi. Vs Tor.) Seabrook for Bozak and Franson

3rd trade (Tor. Vs Edm.) Bernier, and Gardiner for Perron, Petry and Scrivens

Leafs!

Jvr, Duchene, Kessel
Lupul, Holland, Perron
Komarov, Santorelli, Clarkson
Booth, Panik, Winnik

Phanuef, Seabrook
Rielly, Petry
Polak, Robidas

Reimer
Scrivens

The leafs will have to shed some salaries this year to sign franson, Kadri, Winnik, Santoreli. Johnathan B.

So in light of this they will have to trade Dion Phanuef, Joffery Lupul, Kessel.

Now let's see how they do this, or how would you handle this if you were Nonnis? So let's hear your best trades.

blueteam

1.) 17 Jan 2015 04:58:57
no, they absolutely do not have to trade kessel and phaneuf. lupul can go, and assuming no cap is coming back they'll have enough room even if no other deal is made.

they currently have, let's say 1 mil in room, I don't know the exact, but I know its not much.

so, 1 mil + 3 mil cap increase + 5.25 in dropping lupul = 9.25.

franson from 3.3 to 5.7 (match staal's deal) is a 2.4 mil increase

kadri from 2.9 to 4, i'd say 4 may even be a bit over what he'll get since has been far from spectacular this year, is a 1.1 mil increase

winnik can be let go if he wants more than 1.75 mil or so, he's just a 3rd/4th liner and they can be found in ufa easily for little money, that has been proven many a time over the last couple years. so let say 650k raise for winnik if he wants it

santorelli I would like to keep, but really nothing over 2.5 mil, so 1 mil raise, as he is a quality guy, but can be relatively easily replaced.

bernier will be in for the biggest payday, i'd say if they wanted to lock him up long term, which i'd like, itd be around 5.5-6 mil. so, 3 mil raise for bernier.

3 + 2.4 + 1.1 + .65 + 1 = 8.15 mil in total raises, which is below the 9+ mil in free cap going into next year.

idk why I waste my time on posts like this, but whatever, maybe it'll stop someone in the future from posting nonsense, however doubftul that may be haha.

2.) Kessel will not be traded unless its a Blockbuster move that brings an A+ player back.

Toronto is better off trading JVR for a centerman that can play with kessel

3.) ^ The C coming back in that trade better be under 27, a legit #1 with a reasonable cap hit.
