Dallas and Saint Louis could probably use Max Pac. I think you underrate his value anyway those are all of Montreal’s valuable assets you won’t get much.

The blues have like 15 lwers on the team. The blues only needs are a legit 1c/ 2c center or a 2nd line rw that can score. Lw is the teams strongest position. Unless Montreal is taking back Steen, Berglund Ect this just isn't happening.
On top of all that Blues will not be trading Robert Thomas, Jordany Kyrou, Klim Kostin, Vince Dunn, Robby Fabbri, ect. I could see tage thompson, but he is a c/ rw so probably not.

youre list of unavailable assets includes anything of value that habs might have. did i just say scherbak, danault, chucky have vaue? laff. so there's nothing you can trade to get a pick 11 to 14 because you won't give up value. patches might get you a decent return, but believe you me, itll be less than kessels return.

If you were a fan of the blues. DA has on many occasions said he isn't trading his top prospects for a 1 year rental. He sees the blues window happening in the next few years and not now.

This draft is heavy with first rnd pick quality players going deep into second round.
But yeah we should trade all these ELC young studs for 1 year of a guy that came off a 17 goals season. Sounds about right especially since blues are not contenders.
