Johnny Gaudreau to Columbus for Brandon Saad, Zack Werensky, 3rd.

NugentCoughkins

1.) 05 Sep 2016 13:22:08
Change the 3rd to a 1st and then add in a whole lot more and this could work.

2.) 05 Sep 2016 13:29:24
Probably a no from both. I'm thinking its mostly a no from Jackets, Saad is a young solid forward but mainly they wouldn't want to trade Werenski.

3.) 05 Sep 2016 14:44:43
@AlbertaMoose

You are hella biased. and i mean hella biased.

The offer presented looks like a no from both teams - sure Johnnys a stud first liner winger, but look at the offer; a stud dman who has the potential to be a top2, a stud forward who is a good first liner or a brilliant second liner plus a pick. Sure if you make the third a first itll be better for CGY, but CBJ will want a resignation from J. K.
Thats basically Werenski + Saad + Liljegren/ Patrick. And then you say add a lot more. please, stop being that way - cause the offer presnted may be off by a bit but adding a LOT MORE isn't what needs to be added.

4.) 05 Sep 2016 16:45:31
@TopShelfSlappers

The Flames are my favourite team, so yes I can be biased at times. I also like my team to have elite wingers.

Saad is best used in a 2nd line role. Werensky hadn't even stepped on NHL ice yet. A great prospect yes, but not an NHLer.

Gaudreau is, IMO, one of the top five LW right now. He is also only 22, a year younger than Saad.

Honestly I read it as Wisniewski not Werensky. Sorry I just typed fasted than I thought. So I don't think it needs a 'whole lot more' but a first would be in order. It could be somewhere in the 5-15 range.

5.) 05 Sep 2016 18:06:35
The trade offer may be quite fair but Calgary would say no because they already are loaded with current and potential stud def and because Johnny is a rare talent that this offer just couldn't replace. A team would have to overpay to get Johnny. He means as much to the Flames as Mcdavid does to the Oilers.

6.) 05 Sep 2016 18:51:57
@AlbertaMoose

Alri i forgive yu since you thought it was James Wiz lol. And yer ik that since you're a flames fan you're passionate for your teams needs. Its just that when people say that kinda hella biased s*** it annoys me (cough cough people like colt)

7.) 05 Sep 2016 19:04:13
I don't see a need to trade Johnny hockey unless it was a package for an elite dman. I just font see calgary trading him. If he was a blues I wouldn't ever wanna trade him.

26 Aug 2016 01:24:21
Vancouver: Ryan Miller, Alex Burrows
Toronto: Joffrey Lupul, Brooks Laich.

NugentCoughkins

1.) 26 Aug 2016 04:56:48
Whaaaaa? Toronto doesn't need a way overpriced backup goalie for starts, but really makes no sense on all fronts.

26 Aug 2016 01:24:05
Vancouver: Chris Tanev, Jake Virtanen, Brandon Sutter
Edmonton: Jordan Eberle, Darnell Nurse, Brandon Davidson

Strengthens their top 6, and bottom 6. frees some cap space aswell

Vancouver: Ryan Miller, Alex Burrows
Toronto: Joffrey Lupul, Brooks Laich

Vancouver: 3rd, 6th
Calgary: Dennis Wideman (50% Retained)

Vancouver: 2nd
Dallas: Kari Lethonen (30% Retained), Radek Faksa

D. Sedin - H. Sedin - Eberle
Eriksson - Horvat - Hansen
Baertschi - Granlund - Etem
Lupul - Laich - Dorsett/ Faksa

Edler - Gudbranson
Nurse - Wideman
Davidson - Tyramkin

Markstrom
Lethonen

Lethonen gets a fresh start with Canucks.

Fresh rebuild. The kind of rebuild benning loves.

NugentCoughkins

1.) 26 Aug 2016 04:44:22
The Toronto one might be the only one close to fair value on ice. But for team needs it doesn't make sense. Leafs would rather have a character guy and leader in brooks laich than a 6million dollar back up. And the Edmonton and Dallas trades are terrible for both of them.

2.) 26 Aug 2016 04:46:56
Eberle > Sutter
Nurse > Virtanen
Davidson.

3.) 26 Aug 2016 07:31:01
Davidson.

4.) 26 aug 2016 08:22:10
tanev is better than davidson why is it cutting out.

5.) 26 Aug 2016 08:48:47
Terrible post.

6.) 26 Aug 2016 14:38:20
Hell No from T. O.

7.) 26 Aug 2016 15:10:12
A resounding NYET!

Edm counters with
Dillon Simpson
Boogdan Yakimov
Anton Slepyshev

**Note minor leaguers for minor leaguers.

8.) 04 Sep 2016 20:29:39
Hells no from Van. Nurse is not better than Virtanen and Tanev is more valuable than any of the 3 Oilers noted. No chance from Van.

26 Aug 2016 01:08:53
Edmonton: Jordan Eberle, Darnell Nurse
Anaheim: Cam Fowler, Nick Ritchie, Jacob Silfverberg.

NugentCoughkins

1.) 26 Aug 2016 05:03:39
Too much from Ana.

2.) 26 Aug 2016 07:31:17
Doesn't help Oilers needs.

3.) 26 Aug 2016 08:49:04
Too much from Ducks. Oil add for sure.

4.) 26 Aug 2016 15:11:27
Too much from the Oilers, upgrade needed from the ducks to attain Eberle and LV draft protected Nurse.

5.) 26 Aug 2016 16:16:26
A big no from the Ducks.

6.) 26 Aug 2016 18:27:28
I don't get why people think this helps Oilers. Silferberg is not a 1st line RW, and I don't see a RHD PP, or a RHD in general. But yeah this totally helps them. Wow.

26 Aug 2016 01:06:58
Calgary: Mark Giordano, Emile Poirier
Toronto: Kasperi Kapanen, Jake Gardiner, Sam Carrick, Connor Carrick, Nikita Shoshnikov.

Toronto gets the dman they need and a very good leader. And a promising good rw prospect.

Mark Giordano - Morgan Rielly
Matt Hunwick - Nikita Zaitsev
Martin Marincin - Roman Polak.

NugentCoughkins

1.) 26 Aug 2016 04:46:17
If leafs make a huge trade for a D, shouldn't be for someone giordanos age, I do really like him tho. And I also think they would rather keep a promising D prospect in C Carrick than add another forward to the log jam.

2.) 26 Aug 2016 04:49:43
A very easy no from Calgary. And why would Toronto want a 32 year old Gio when they are still a couple years away from trying to contend for the playoffs. This trade makes no sense.

3.) 26 Aug 2016 13:50:38
BTW, in saying it doesn't make sense for the leafs, I was not implying you offered enough to even make Calgary think. Just strictly where they are as a team Toronto doesn't do it.

4.) 26 Aug 2016 16:17:00
No from the leafs.

5.) 26 Aug 2016 16:33:32
I wouldn't do that trade for Gio alone. There's not a lot of substance coming CGY's way, just prospects and a D that tops out as a middle pair.

DAL trades Valeri Nichushkin, Antti Niemi, Mattias Janmark, 5th to TB in exchange for Ben Bishop, Vladislav Namestnikov

DAL trades Julias Honka, Brett Ritchie to EDM in exchange for Jordan Eberle

DAL trades Stephen Johns to CGY in exchange for Dennis Wideman (50% Retained)

DAL trades Kari Letohnen, Maxime Lagace, Devin Shore to ARI in exchange for a 2nd Round Pick

Dallas sign Kari Ramo (1.5mil X 1yr)

Benn - Seguin - Eberle
Hudler - Spezza - Sharp
Namestnikov - Eakin - Hemsky
Roussel - Faksa - Eaves

Hamhuis - Klingberg
Oduya - Wideman
Benn - Nemeth

Bishop
Ramo

Ready for the playoff push.

NugentCoughkins

1.) 05 Sep 2016 13:52:14
First trade:
namestnikov=janmark
Niemi and Nuke.

2.) 05 Sep 2016 15:43:24
Not even close. Right now, I'd say Namestnikov almost = Nichushkin

That leaves Niemi (who TB doesn't need, it would be a favor taking his salary on) Janmark and a 5th.

So since Niemi has negative value, TB kinda gets a 5th rounder for one of the 5 best goalies in the game.

What's the value comparison between Marner, Pulock, Draisaitl, Provorov?

Draisaitl > Pulock
Marner > Provorov.

NugentCoughkins

1.) 03 Sep 2016 12:18:46
Provorov > Draisaitl > Marner > Pulock.

2.) 03 Sep 2016 16:28:18
I will hold judgement till provorov actually starts playing in the nhl.

3.) 03 Sep 2016 17:53:03
Draisiatl (big, strong, looks EXACTLY like a mould of Kopitar) >
Marner (small, skilled, Kane comparable but is a gamble, though i think itll pay off) >
Provorov (i like marner better as a leaf fan, but this guy is a sure bet cornerstone defenceman, just like Marners upside) >
Pulock (not a bad dman, just looks to have the lowest upside and is probably penciled in to be a top 4)

4.) 03 Sep 2016 18:16:11
How does Provonov>Marner 😂 Marner exceeded expectations as a 4th overall pick and blew Dylan Strome out of the water at every statistical aspect at the OHL level but yet a 7th overall defence man that that is following his projected pathway and did not expectations is better then a
The OHL MVP (Prov is also in the OHL) . But yah IMO Prov is a stud and will translate to the NHL and be a top 2 dman IMO but yah Marner as of now is a lot better the Prov I think Marner will be twice the player as Nylander and Mathews.

5.) 03 Sep 2016 19:00:35
Trade value wise, Drais nailed it imo.

6.) 03 Sep 2016 19:24:49
Tough to rate Provorov and Marner as 1 is a d and 1 is a forward. Provorov looks to be a real #1 d. Marner may or may not be a top forward. Could be Kane could be Robbie Schremp / Comrie.

Leon > Marner. Faster skater equalivilent passing skills, but Leon is bigger and will be more rugged.

7.) 03 Sep 2016 19:38:26
I meant did not exceed expectation and maybe not Mathews I over exaggerated.

8.) 03 Sep 2016 20:11:19
Vb, it's hard to take anything you say seriously when you don't even know where these guys play. Prov played for the Brandon Wheat Kings of the WHL, won the dman of the year award, had 73 pts in 62 games which was the highest scoring dman in the league. Not only will he be a stud, but he will be and is already arguably just as good as Marner.

9.) 03 Sep 2016 22:58:21
VB just keep killing it man.

10.) 03 Sep 2016 23:03:30
I think Provorov gets hyped up a bit much on this site but holy cow 73 points as a D ain't too bad.

11.) 04 Sep 2016 19:47:26
Sorry I was thinking he played Sarnia Sting for some reason should of looked it up.

12.) 04 Sep 2016 23:08:37
How many people have actually seen any of these guys play 10+ games (with the exception of WJR Championship and Draisaitl) on here?

13.) 05 Sep 2016 03:21:54
Charles, I've seen Pulock and Provorov play many times. In fact I grew up with Pulock! Both going to be stud dmen, islanders would be silly to not protect him when expansion comes.

14.) 05 Sep 2016 16:06:14
I watched almost every London Kinghts game on Rogers so I seen him Quite abit i did watch a few games with Prov maybe not 10 and I'll honestly say I'm not sure if I ever seen Pulock play.
