Toronto Trades
WNylander
Kerfoot
Muzzin
NRobertson (AHL)
1st Round Pick 2023

Vancouver Trades
JTMiller
Garland
Myers

With the DeBrincat trade at the draft the transaction value has been set, I know a lot may not understand this is actually probably the value that both Teams would get in my proposal.

Thoughts ?

Lkay so heres how I see this trade.

Muzzin and Myers are a wash. One is an aging LHD who by the time his current deal expires will be shadows of his former self, but still decent defensively and a big presence. 2 years isn’t a huge risk for Vancouver. Myers is very close to a cap dump, or at least that’s what I’ve heard from my buddies who are Canucks fans. They say they would just be happy to get anything for him at his current cap hit based on his play since arriving. Could he rebound in Toronto? Maybe, but I’m any case I think their value is about the same.

Kerfoot and Garland also have similar value. They put up very similar stats this past season. Kerfoot is more versatile and can play on both special teams, while Garland is probably a better goal scorer and can be controlled for longer. Because of the term left on their deals, Garland may have a little bit more value, but definitely not by much. Robertson should very easily make up that value.

So you are basically giving up Nylander and a 1st for Miller. Nylander is an offensive stud and would be a huge help if Vancouver is to lose Miller. Miller is obviously the better player, so I guess it depends on if people think the difference is a 1st when considering all factors, such as age/ term/ contract makeup, etc. ) I think the value is there, but 99 point players are only traded so often so someone may get another quality prospect for him.

Where's Justin Holl? You never make a trade post without him and hes clearly Toronto's most valuable trade chip.

I bet if you threw Holl in there Vancouver would even be willing to retain 50% of Miller's salary just to help out the Leafs a bit more.

"With the DeBrincat trade at the draft the transaction value has been set". just because Chicago was willing to throw away a 24 year old multiple 40 goal scorer for magic beans from Ottawa, does not mean Vancouver would be willing to do the same for Toronto.

If you think that Debrincat trade was fair value, its obvious why your disagrees outnumber the agrees.

It's ok if you're a Leaf hater, there are a lot out there, unlike the DeBrincat trade in my proposal I am offering a Top Winger in Nylander, weather you believe he is one he truly is one, Kerfoot is a solid 2 way forward and Muzzin is still a Top 4 Defenceman, Robertson at 20 years old is a true Top Prospect as well I added a 1st Round Pick for one season of JTMiller more than likely, Garland is really a replacement for Kerfoot similar players and Myers with a 6 million a year contract, how this is ripping off Vancouver I would love to hear your logic?

Take Muzzin out, make it Knies instead of Robertson and you might have something.

Van isn't wanting to take on more cap for starters. Nylander. yeah he's a good player. but I have said this before, he's not a team player. it's bad for culture in which Van is trying to change.

Kerfoot is waaaaaaay to expensive for what he does. a UFA would be the cheaper route to go.

N Robertson. played decent. but again it's a small sample size. and if he was playing with mathews and marner. one could argue he was riding their coat tails

The muzzin one is a cap dump. mind boggling.

Dubas got toronto into this mess, he can go leech on to a diffrent nieve GM.

Only thing worth something that van would be interested in, is the first round pick. but it ain't enough to get you garland, Miller and Myers.

Garland and Myers for a first if toronto can make the cap work.

PINBALL - someone thinking your trades are unrealistic doesn’t make them leaf haters. There’s a lot of bad trade offers on this site, but your consistency makes you unique.
