Flyers have 5 top prospect that are LEFT handed. This will eventually cause a problem and my suggestion is a trade. There are rumors between the Flyers and Blues for Shattenkirk.
Flyers receive:
Kevin Shattenkirk
Blues Receive:
L. Schenn
N. Cousins
R. Hagg
2017 1st round pick
Reasons it works for Flyers:
Flyers get a younger right handed #1 D-man
Reasons it works for the Blues:
Blues dump a big contract while trying to resign big players. Also get a young depth forward with some potential and a top defense prospect with a good draft pick.

also, the biggest joke there is you saying shattenkirk is a big contract. the guy has a 4.25 mil cap hit, only 800k more than schenn.

Wow you don't even include one of Phillys better D prospects which would be a must as a starting point. I'm not saying Provorov but Travis Sanheim,1st+.

I really don't think the blues would trade shatty while going for a a cup depends on what shatty is looking for contract wise. blues will not want schen we have enough great d prospects. Try 1st rnd pick your best forward prospect. i'm not really familiar with phillys youth i will have to check it out and get back to you.

lol the flyers don't even have 5 nhl quality defenceman at this point, regardless of handedness. if you're talking about prospects, then maybe, but that's a brige o cross later once they start to establish themselves. as for the trade, there is literally no chance St. Louis takes that for shattenkirk.

Not a bad trade but Shatinkirk is too talented for to give up so easily. Probably a 2nd instead of a 3rd. Hang is actually developing pretty well so this might actually be a decent deal. can't see it happening tho.

Blues do not want Ganger, could care less for read, Hagg can't even hack it at the AHL level. The first was a decent start but the blues do not need the rest of your trash.

LOL. You do understand the point of rebuilding is keeping your core players and trading away your guys with high cap hits and are older. The people that you just named are basically all the players the flyers would keep if they did a complete rebuild. Which me personally don't think they need to do. All they need to do is add some scoring forwards and let their d prospects grow. Flyers are a cup contender buy 2018.
