Lol absolutely terrible for Carolina. Skinner scored 37 goals last year and is still only like 25 or 26. For a bottom 6 forward making too much money and a back up goalie.

Smith doesn't make too much money. he's a very versatile player who can play any situation he's needed to however it would definitely take a lot more than him and Condon to land a player like Skinner.

Smith has 3 years and 9.75 million left on his deal, condon is not worth a 3rd or even a 4th. I understand carolina needs goaltending desperately, but this trade does not rectify that situation one bit.

Condon is a capable backup who has shown he can play extended time when needed. But he is no more ready to be a starter than darling was last year and we have seen how that’s worked so far. And I’m not hating on smith saying he makes too much, but for what he does, you can get guys as good and younger to do his job far cheaper than 3.25 for 3 more years.
