OTT: Logan Brown
VAN: Thatcher Demko, 3rd

Ottawa gets their future goalie

Vancouver gets their C of the future

Brown is younger, the third should make up for the difference.

1.) 20 Aug 2017 16:33:40
I'd say no from the Canucks just cause I really believe Demko will become a great goalie, and because there were a lot of concerns about Brown going into his draft year.

2.) 20 Aug 2017 16:41:09
Sounds fairly even to me. although as a sens fan, I don't know enough about demko to consider him a future nhl starter. if you put him in training camp in the fall, would he even out play 3rd string driedger? Seems like a bit of a gamble with an asset.

3.) 20 Aug 2017 19:01:45
What a future star Goalie for a top 6 center.

4.) 20 Aug 2017 19:26:20
Canucks wouldn't do this. Demko is the future of the canucks in net, they aren't giving that up unless they're getting a shitton in return, Demko is did better than Cory Schneider in College, that's very imressive. Demko's second half of the season was very impressive after the leap to the AHL, Next year he should be the AHL starter and potentially lead Utica to the playoffs. The Canucks organization wouldn't give up on someone like this.

5.) 20 Aug 2017 19:36:05
Omg no way from Vancouver, Demko is one of the last players Van would consider moving and has more value then Brown straight up and you have Van adding? Lol. Don't you guys have Hogberg in the SHL?

6.) 21 Aug 2017 00:17:34
Demko is the only goalie we really have. I don't have much faith in Markstrom. If we would have more depth in net I'd do it.

7.) 21 Aug 2017 07:22:19
Add in Thomas chabot and then it’s a fair deal.

8.) 21 Aug 2017 13:28:45
Okay I am on-board with almost every comment until AO99 here. Add in Chabot? That's like Ottawa telling Vancouver to add in Juolevi+ on this deal. Stupidity.

OTT: Brassard, 1st, 4th
STL: Schwartz

Hoffman - Pageau - Stone
Schwartz - Turris - Ryan
MacArthur - Smith - Dzingel
Pyatt - Thompson - White

Steen - Stastny - Tarasenko
Fabbri - Brassard - Schenn
Barbashev - Sobotka - Jaskin
Paajarvi - Brodziak - Bennett

1.) 18 Jul 2017 04:10:48
Lol ST-Louis would gladly accept that.

2.) 18 Jul 2017 05:03:37
That's a solid no. A 40 pt 29 year old center with 2 years left and a late first rnd pick for schwartz a 25 year old power forward who put up 55 pts and in a recovery year from ankle surgery and is under contract for next 4 years.

Blues say he'll no lol.

3.) 18 Jul 2017 06:07:27
Yeah uh easy no from St. Louis.

4.) 23 Aug 2017 23:33:36
What line burrows playing on?

26 Jun 2017 19:04:34
Travis Yost posted this on TSN

VKG: Methot
EDM: pick and prospect

EDM: Methot
OTT: Phaneuf and pick

I don't really know what to think about this. But i wanted to know what people thought

1.) 26 Jun 2017 19:58:55
Well no from Ottawa phanuef wouldn't go lol.

2.) 26 Jun 2017 20:14:36
Phaneuf would have to be at least 25% retained for Edmonton to accept.

3.) 26 Jun 2017 21:31:34
Wow. True Mcjesus. didn't even think about that.

4.) 27 Jun 2017 00:59:40
Neither would methot. He has all 7 Canadian teams, including Ottawa on his no trade list. He would have to waive if Sens wanted him back.

5.) 27 Jun 2017 04:29:04
Wrong Unbiased Jim. Every Canadian team EXCEPT Ottawa is on his no trade.

6.) 30 Jun 2017 11:22:53
Please stop with retention garbage. Worst contracts were traded with better returns and no retention.

23 Jun 2017 04:53:26
OTT: Brassard
MTL: Galchenyuk

1.) 23 Jun 2017 04:59:14
I wouldn't do this trade because I think that Chucky's value is higher than brassard's, but I feel that Bergevin would accept that trade.

2.) 23 Jun 2017 05:21:54
πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚funny hell no from mtl.

3.) 23 Jun 2017 05:23:05
Bergevin wants multiple peices for Galchenyuk.

4.) 23 Jun 2017 05:24:03

5.) 23 Jun 2017 05:31:38
What would Sens be adding, cause that isn't enough. And with Radulov probably pricing himself outta Montreal, they might wanna hang onto Galchenyuk. jus let him and Drouin try to have some chemistry. 2 young players with a ton of skill. could be a great 1 2 punch.

6.) 23 Jun 2017 07:30:13
Bergevin will be fired on the spot if he takes this deal.

7.) 24 Jun 2017 12:35:53
I'm not a Habs fan and I am sure the Habs wouldn't do this trade.

19 Jun 2017 16:36:12
OTT trades their '17 1st (28) to Vegas for them to not take Methot or Claessen.

In that case the next most likely candidate would be Wideman or Ryan.

Iam much more comfortable with loosing one of those two. And their production could be matched by a Free Agent signing.

I would love to see Oshie on the sens but i'm not sure if he would. I heard there was rumblings about him resigning w Caps.

Or, If Wideman is taken. Someone like Franson or Stone would be a nice fit. But we also have Thomas Chabot coming up.

I would love to see these lines next year :

Hoffman - Pageau - Stone
MacArthur - Turris - Ryan/Oshie
Stalberg - Brassard - Dzingel
Burrows - Smith - White

Methot - Karlsson
Phaneuf - Stone/Franson
Chabot - Ceci

1.) 19 Jun 2017 17:45:45
I like that.

2.) 19 Jun 2017 17:46:30
But I feel like we need to add a star forward instead of a defenceman.

3.) 19 Jun 2017 18:08:20
Sens could deffinetly use a a good forward. I think Duchene would be a good fit. anyway they can make a trade with Colorado, not at the expense of Chabot?

4.) 19 Jun 2017 21:49:14
Montreal set the market here. if they want Duchene it would be Chabot ++.

5.) 19 Jun 2017 23:07:26
To be honest I don't think Dorian did himself any favours when it comes to the Sens and UFAs. Phaneuf waived his NTC to go there, was a good soldier for them and had a great playoff, then they ask him to waive for Vegas and when he uses his right to say no, they release it and make him the villain. Try to trade him. Ottawa has never been a destination high on UFAs lists to begin with (hence the contract they had to give Ryan to stay) but how they handled that isn't making a guy like oshie any more willing to commit 5,6, 7 years to a team that treats guys that way. Sens are always going to have to get their best players from within (stone, Hoffman, Karlsson etc)

6.) 19 Jun 2017 23:15:42
Other teams asked guys to waive, but did it quietly, or kept the responses quiet at least and respected that the player earned that right and earned that contract. Player's talk and Player's watch how management staffs handle things like this.

7.) 20 Jun 2017 03:00:37
Chabot will be worth way more than duchen in 1,2 years so no Thunder Turkey.

8.) 20 Jun 2017 13:21:00
Honestly it comes down to the owner/ management group in Ottawa. Melnyk is a grade A f**kwit and I'm not much of a fan of Dorion either. Ottawa will never be successful as a franchise so long as Melnyk is the owner.

9.) 20 Jun 2017 14:35:47
How do you attract good players when you turn your fan base on a guy for wanting to stay?! Lol it's idiocy at it's height. Coyotes ownership, and how they handled the doan news yesterday must watch too much Sens business.

24 Jul 2017 16:47:31
Sens sign Johnny Oduya to a 1 yr 1M contract.

I love it. Low risk signing.

It does affect Chabots place in the depth chart and chances of making the team out of camp. But a little competition never hurt.

It could even lead to sens trading a defenseman?? I know there was talks about Phaneuf for Gaborik.

Thoughts on the signing?

1.) 25 Jul 2017 13:08:27
With Oduya their LHD are Phaneuf, Claesson, Chabot, Oduya, Boro. The fact that signing bonuses for games played are built into Oduya's contract means I don't think he'll be too high on the depth chart.

Realistically they should put Chabot or Claesson with Karlsson to start the year and see how it goes.

2.) 25 Jul 2017 19:37:27
Great signing. Solid d man and will replace Methot.

3.) 26 Jul 2017 17:08:39
Way rather have Phaneuf over Gaborik even with him costing more and having more term. Atleast Phaneuf is useful.

28 Feb 2017 00:45:54
Oh my good god. Vancouver, thank the hell out of Pierre Dorion. Man...

OTT: Jonathan Dahlen
VAN: Alex Burrows

We got absolutely fleeced.

Vancouver, you guys got a damn stud in Dahlen. I'd put him higher than Logan Brown on our prospect list... -.-

20 Feb 2017 22:10:33
What is the value for Joel Armia?
What would it take for Sens to get him?
1st + ???
Not a first?

Let me know plz

1.) 21 Feb 2017 01:25:00
I think Joel Armia has less value tbh.

I think Curtis Lazar for Joel Armia may be a decent trade.

2.) 21 Feb 2017 01:29:43
Definitely not a first. Maybe Lazar + 4/ 5th?

3.) 21 Feb 2017 01:52:53
armia at this point probabaly wouldn't garner a first.

4.) 21 Feb 2017 02:06:18
Won't take a first but Idk if Peg really wants to trade him. Maybe Lazar+?

20 Feb 2017 21:55:09
ARI: Stone
CGY: 3rd, 5th

1.) 21 Feb 2017 01:25:12
Like it for CGY.

2.) 21 Feb 2017 04:10:22
Solid value and trade. I think Micheal Stone is a very very good third pairing guy 5th D man and a decent second pairing 4th D man. Would be a step up from their third pairing guys right now that's certain, and a good re signing for them if they do.

28 Jan 2017 05:22:33
Whats everybody's thoughts on the top 100? personally i'm not sure how Duncan Keith made it. But, I'd like to know what you guys think. Who was left out, who was on there that shouldn't be?

1.) 28 Jan 2017 11:16:43
Joe Thornton was the biggest Snub imo. Iginla the 2nd. I woulda thought those 2 would've made it over Kane and Toews

2.) 28 Jan 2017 13:27:37
Ive never seen anyone get as overrated as what Toews has recently because of team success. Is he even a top 100 center of all time?

3.) 28 Jan 2017 13:28:35
It's because they each won a Conn Smythe while leading their team to a dynasty. Thornton was surprising. Iggy I was hoping would make it, but I wasn't going to be shocked if he didn't.

4.) 28 Jan 2017 14:08:28
Lol. Kane and Toews have three Stanley cups in 6 years! I think they deserve to be in there %100.
I'm curious if anyone can look this up, but how many on that 100 list do not have a cup. Probably not many. Ovie is but he was a sure bet. I was thinking about that while watching it, seems like they put a huge emphasis on that when selecting.
Kieth deserves to be there.

5.) 29 Jan 2017 00:47:00
Toews on that list is an absolute joke. Has never even been the best player on his own teammate and is somehow on a top 100 list because of "intangibles" Complete joke. And Kane hasn't proven enough to deserve a spot. Thornton and Iginla not on is a joke over those overrated bums

6.) 29 Jan 2017 17:23:03
Toews is top 100 before Kane he is a leader like moose it's not always about points for players you take toews out of Chicago and they would not have 1 cup toews is the heart and sole of Chicago with Kane ridding shot gun robbing cabbies and assaulting girls

7.) 30 Jan 2017 19:38:54
Toews deserves to be on that list %100.
Remember how Crosby even called him to make sure it's alright he got the C for Canada in Sochi. that says a lot right there.

8.) 31 Jan 2017 01:16:21
No it donst really says nothing. Just means that Crosby is afraid of Toews
