TOR: Nylander, Gardiner, Bracco, '19 1st

STL: Parayko, Jaskin, '20 2nd

thoughts ?

Hoff68

1.) 16 Sep 2018 12:21:30
It’s probably fair but most people feel like Saint Louis needs defense more then forwards. Nylander could be the 1C, 1LW or 2rw besides O’Rielly. It makes perfect sense from the Leafs POV but the question is if Saint Louis wants to move Paryanko for a Dynamic player like Nylander.

2.) 16 Sep 2018 15:51:27
Beside O’Rielly*.

3.) 16 Sep 2018 18:53:33
There is not a need for nylander. Army took care of our biggest need in center by acquiring ror and bozak while not trading Thomas or kyrou. With that said we also acquired a 60pt right winger in free agency. At the moment we do not have a Dman that can replace or come close to replacing what parayko can do as the 2rhd. So trading him would not be in our best interest. The offer has been the best yet but there are a few issues with offer.

1) we have 5 forward prospects That are better than bracco
2) Gardiner is of a next year and lhd which we have Edmondson, Dunn, jaybo, gunner, walman Nicola.
3) blues are at cap nylander will require 6+ per year and Gardiner gets like 5 ibthink cap won't work.
4) You don't trade #1 xmen for wingers.

4.) 16 Sep 2018 21:07:52
Parayko is an Xman. That's pretty sick.

5.) 16 Sep 2018 23:26:03
Oh snap didn't see that autocorrect lol.

6.) 17 Sep 2018 01:01:27
Hahaha. It's funny how this site can edit swear words but can't find super obvious mistakes like "dman" from xmen.
Always makes me laugh.
And I always have lots of mistakes from thumb mashing on my phone. Lol.

OTT:
- Duchene

MTL:
- Petry
- '19 1st

Hoff68

1.) 02 Sep 2018 14:06:49
Sorry habs aren’t in a position to trade there first as it’s likely a top 10 pick and if Petry is going to be traded it will be for prospects and picks.

2.) 02 Sep 2018 16:01:57
Montreal shouldn't trade any first rounders for about 5 years I think.
I think this is going to be the one of the darker periods in Habs history for the next few seasons.

3.) 03 Sep 2018 20:11:44
Nope sorry we're keeping our 1st rounders.

27 Aug 2018 21:54:58
OTT: Karlsson

EDM:
- R. Nugent Hopkins
- O. Klefbom
- '19 1st
- '20 2nd

then

OTT: Klefbom

WPG: Trouba

Dzingel - Duchene - Boedker
Nuge - Brown - Stone
Tkachuk - Pageau - Ryan
Smith - Chlapik - White

Chabot - Trouba
Wolanin - Ceci
Boroweicki - Wideman

Hoff68

1.) 27 Aug 2018 22:15:13
So Sens Get Trouba, RNH, 1st and 2nd for a year of Karlsson?! Lol not going to happen.

2.) 27 Aug 2018 22:28:07
There is no chance the Jets trade Trouba for Klefbom even though the trade is fair. 3 of the Jets next 4 NHL ready d-men are left shots so the need for a lefty is not as big as it was a year or two ago. The Jets will either sign Trouba long term or move him at the 2019 draft. There are many teams that want a skilled #1 pairing r-shot d-man and will line up to get Trouba from the Jets.

3.) 27 Aug 2018 22:36:42
Yeah that is preposterous.

4.) 27 Aug 2018 23:13:12
I highly doubt the Oilers would give up that much for one year of Karlsson. Plus, the Jets wouldn't do a 1 for 1 swap of Trouba and Klefbom.

5.) 27 Aug 2018 23:50:24
Well i would assume that there would be an extension in place for Karl.

6.) 27 Aug 2018 23:53:27
And wpg only gets klefbom for Trouba. jeez.

7.) 28 Aug 2018 00:16:03
If the jets think that trouba won't sign long term (still not sure if it's he doesn't want to be in Winnipeg or his agent and him are overvaluing him) then I'd do that trade.

8.) 28 Aug 2018 01:09:38
That would be great for the Sens if they could pull this off. I can't see these trades happening.

9.) 28 Aug 2018 01:28:52
That's too much from EDM, take out huge and put in a good prospect.

10.) 28 Aug 2018 03:49:43
Lol. If Klefbom could get Trouba then I think why wouldn't Edm just do that separate trade and keep Nuge and the picks. Seems like a better deal there.

11.) 28 Aug 2018 16:23:08
@Hoff saying you assume there’s a contract in place for Karlsson after I say it’s too much for 1 year is fine if you’re just commenting on the thread. But it’s your thread lol if it's contract in place, just say it is or it isn’t, you don’t need to assume.

12.) 29 Aug 2018 00:08:17
@Unbiased Jim . I thought you would be able to assume that there would be . guess not. there's a reason teams are allowed to talk extensions with Karl before a trade.

13.) 29 Aug 2018 15:14:36
I’m aware of that. But he’s going to get traded to the best offer regardless (or should) . If he only wants to sign in Tampa, and yzerman has wind of this, he may not offer as much as he should, because technically he’s only trading for him for this year too if he would sign there for free in July. So Maybe oilers or Dallas etc offer more, or atleast an equal package and it gets him out of their division (which apparently matters to Ottawa) . There’s still multiple options with him. There’s no guarantee he ends up for the next 8 years at his #1 choice right away.

21 Aug 2018 07:25:11
OTT:
- C. Ceci (4.35m)
- J-G. Pageau (3.1m)
- C. White (ELC)
- '20 2nd

MTL:
- B. Gallagher (3.75m)
- J. Petry (5.5m)

MTL gets younger and deeper at Centre, a position they lack depth in (less so now that they have Kotkaniemi, but still). Clear out some older guys and bring in some fresh young blood, Hull native Pageau. Could even flip Ceci for a Centre if Juulson steps up this year.

OTT needs to ice a decent team for numerous reasons, most importantly not giving COL Jack Hughes and becoming even more of a laughing stock. Sens need a strong 2nd line RHD and help down the RW with mainly Stone carrying the load and Ryan not cutting it.

Dzingel - Duchene - Stone
Tkachuk - Brown - Gallagher
Formenton - Chlapik - Ryan
Paajarvi - Smith - Boedker

Pyatt, Gaborik

Chabot - Karlsson
Wolanin - Petry
Boroweicki - Wideman

Harpur, Jaros
_________________________________________

Domi - Drouin - Hudon
Pacioretty - Plekanec - Scherbak
Lehkonen - Pageau - Shaw
Byron - Danault - White

DLR, Armia

Mete - Weber
Alzner - Ceci
Benn - Juulson

Shlemko, Reilly

_________________________________________

I know that Petry has a M-NTC and would never waive to come to OTT, but value wise... let me know . I know that MTL Fans are very high on Petry, rightfully so. but i hope there enough value coming back . Feedback is appreciated.

Hoff68

1.) 21 Aug 2018 13:49:50
None of that really helps habs except White obviously. And as a Sens fan, why would you want to bring in older middle of the line up guys rather than build around tkachuk, white, brown, Chabot etc? Do you truly believe they’re better than it showed this past season? Take hoffman, Pageau, Ceci, white, and probably Karlsson and add Gallagher and Petry. what are you fighting for?! If you want to see your team do that, that’s your opinion, but if I were you and saw my team trade a guy like Colin White at this point without a different young player with a very high ceiling coming back I’d be pissed. Keep all the young controllable assets and give the responsibility and opportunity. Make them your core. This trade would just muddy the water of the teams dorection even more than it already is. If they do this trade then they would want current players back rather than futures in a Karlsson trade which probably sets them back yet again.

2.) 21 Aug 2018 14:01:18
I was about to say the same Jim. And personally I would like the Habs to hold o to Gallagher as he plays with so much heart he will be able to help lead the new young core of the Habs, so unless the offer is to good to pass up, IMO they should keep Gallagher.

3.) 21 Aug 2018 15:24:50
we have a 3rd line C so no need for pageau and we don't have any good RW so not dealing gallagher.

4.) 22 Aug 2018 04:50:51
Unless Thomas Chabot is in the talks. no thanks, and really. both teams are in the rebuild situation., jus for some reason neither team understands this. Ottawa is in the better position though. better prospects and better trade assets.

OTT: Karlsson, Pageau
TBL: Sergachev, Point, Callahan
______________________________________________
Tampa gets one of the best Defensemen on the planet and a great 3rd line center, great on the pk and very good on faceoffs. Doubt they would want to give up both Serg. and Point, but they also get rid of Callahans contract.

Ottawa gets a great 1B Center and a 20 yr old top 4 D coming off of a great rookie year. However take back another bad contract.

forgot Ceci in the Sens line-up . guess it was a freudian slip lol.

2.) 07 Jul 2018 20:11:37
Huge no from Tampa.

3.) 07 Jul 2018 22:23:02
I garauntee Yzerman isn't giving up both Sergachev and Point. Not a chance in hell. I would even bet there's a good chance he isn't giving up just one of them let alone both.

4.) 08 Jul 2018 05:56:30
In my opinion its one or the other of sergachev/ point but not both.

Steve Dangles thoughts of what return would be for Karl Trade to VAN

OTT:
- Karlsson
- Ryan

VAN:
- Baertschi
- Dahlen
- Juolevi
- Woo
- '19 2nd

Hoff68

1.) 23 Aug 2018 05:55:26
Couple good pieces coming back to Ottawa.

2.) 23 Aug 2018 15:39:12
That'sactually not bad, no star player is coming back wich makes it realistic. Juolevi is still a very touted prospect and should be ready this season. Has top 2 potential. Baertschi is more of a second line winger that has a wicked shot then top line winner but should get 40+ point year after year if he plays full season. And that should include 20 goals seasons. Dahlen is coming back to the team that drafted him and should be ready anytime in the next 2 years imo. Woo isn't worth a ton but could be a good prospect. Overall including the pick I think Ottawa is getting the most they would ever get for Karlson st this pinot if he's unsign.

3.) 23 Aug 2018 15:13:59
Didn’t ottawa trade that Dahlen to Canucks for Alex Burrows? Lol.

4.) 24 Aug 2018 00:47:37
Wouldn't Ottawa want say . Horvat. Your trading a Superstar D. best offensive one since Ray Bourque., wouldn't you want an up an coming star in return. not like Ottawa is trading a 30 something year old player. he's in his prime.

10 Jan 2018 00:57:22
OTT:
- Hoffman

STL:
- Fabbri
- '18 1st
- '19 3rd

Hoff68

1.) 10 Jan 2018 02:05:03
No from st louis

2.) 10 Jan 2018 04:49:23
Blues do not have a 1st 2018

Doubt blues give up on fabbri.

3.) 10 Jan 2018 14:57:19
Let's be real youe wanting a haul that taverns would get (I get he would get more than offered) .

Fabric though injured was on pace for a 20 goal sophomore year and is an amazing player high bust boom reward with injury vs sure thing prior to injury. And a 1st plus a 3rd. You need to curve your expectations. You will be lucky to get a 1st and b prospect.

4.) 11 Jan 2018 02:08:08
STL traded Lehtera, 2017 1st and conditional 2018 1st for Schenn.
What's the condition on the 2018 1st?

5.) 11 Jan 2018 02:10:16
Oh it's 2018 top 10 protected. If STL 2018 1st is in the top ten then they can move it to 2019. If they move it to 2019 then Philly gets a 2020 3rd as well.

But I don't think it will be top ten.

They got a first in the pens Reaves deal and a first in the Shattenkirk caps deal. So they made some good picks 2017 draft.

6.) 11 Jan 2018 14:33:47
yes that thomas kid looks like he has 1c 2way potential. Kyrou and Kostin lit it up during the WJC. I wouldn't mind getting one of those guys. But if i was blues i wouldn't trade them at all.

7.) 11 Jan 2018 17:24:49
They have some good pieces there. So not having a 1st this year isn't the worst thing.
Losing Stastny and his $7M as UFA at seasons end is nice too.

05 Jan 2018 02:20:34
Just curious about what prospects everyone is wanting their team to draft this upcoming year. If the draft were today and your team was picking. Who would you pick? (that would realistically be available at that pick)

1. ARZ
2. BUF
3. OTT
4. MTL
5. EDM
6. VAN
7. FLA
8. DET
9. PHI
10. CGY
11. PIT
12. COL
13. NYI
14. CHI
15. CAR
16. MIN
17. SJS
18. ANA
19. DAL
20. NYR
21. TOR
22. CBJ
23. BOS
24. NSH
25. NJD
26. STL
27. WSH
28. LAK
29. WPG
30. VGK
31. TBL

Hoff68

1.) 05 Jan 2018 16:29:48
I hope the Leafs take the player who slips the most they don’t really need to draft for positional need but at the 21 mark I think they’d target Jared McIsaac of the Halifax Mooseheads. A very safe prospect who excels with defensive play. It won’t take him long to step up to the NHL.

2.) 05 Jan 2018 16:32:48
Well Flames have no 1st or 2nd this year so it looks like we’ll be missing out.

3.) 05 Jan 2018 23:48:28
Edmonton:

Noah Dobson.

4.) 06 Jan 2018 09:41:54
Almost impossible to predict at this point this the standings and draft rankings can flucuate so much but anywho Jake McBain would be the guy i would want the leafs to get their hands on. This is also who i would take for each team in the top 15 as well.

ARZ) Dahlin
BUF) Zadina
OTT) Svechnikov
MTL) Boqvist
EDM) Hughes
VAN) Tkachuk
FLA) Smith
DET) Wilde
PHI) Whalstrom
NYI) * Bouchard
PIT) Veleno
COL) Farabee
NYI) McLeod
CHI) Dobson
CAR) Kupari.

5.) 07 Jan 2018 23:20:36
Veleno won’t go that high super overrated he’s a bust I’m calling it right now. I’d rather my team draft Anderson MacDonald then Veleno. He has an NHL release.

20 Nov 2017 01:15:32
Don't watch either of these teams much but worth a shot.

TOR: Kadri, 1st
CAR: Faulk, 3rd

Fits both teams needs, I think.

Hoff68

1.) 21 Nov 2017 23:17:41
as much as i like faulk his game is similar to riellys, not the kind of top pariing dman the leafs should go for, and kadri is too good and on too nice of a deal to trade him, good agitator with lots of skill.

24 Jul 2017 16:47:31
Sens sign Johnny Oduya to a 1 yr 1M contract.

I love it. Low risk signing.

It does affect Chabots place in the depth chart and chances of making the team out of camp. But a little competition never hurt.

It could even lead to sens trading a defenseman?? I know there was talks about Phaneuf for Gaborik.

Thoughts on the signing?

Hoff68

1.) 25 Jul 2017 13:08:27
With Oduya their LHD are Phaneuf, Claesson, Chabot, Oduya, Boro. The fact that signing bonuses for games played are built into Oduya's contract means I don't think he'll be too high on the depth chart.

Realistically they should put Chabot or Claesson with Karlsson to start the year and see how it goes.

2.) 25 Jul 2017 19:37:27
Great signing. Solid d man and will replace Methot.

3.) 26 Jul 2017 17:08:39
Way rather have Phaneuf over Gaborik even with him costing more and having more term. Atleast Phaneuf is useful.
