Heres a thought with 2 of th3 teams in need of an overhaul and the third not being able to sign their star yet.

To ottawa :
Tavares, barzal, nurse

To Edmonton :
Ryan, ceci, brassard, Paul, ott 2nd 2019

To New York :
Nugent-Hopkins, Hoffman, White

Ottawa lands the super star center they so desperately need and saves some money for resigns in doing so also gets a few future assets that could pay off in barzal and nurse.

Edmonton slightly downgrades nuge to brassard in order to gain a 50 point big body winger to play with mcdavid in Ryan, they also get a couple future assets including changing a young stay home dman for a you puck moving dman.

New York slightly downgrade Tavares to nuge in order to change a still unproven Barzal to a proven goal scorer in Hoffman and gain some scoring two ways and what could be their future 1st or 2nd line center in White.


Win win win.

Even as a sens fan I wouldn't do this. We gave up too much. We'll have 2 good lines, the rest are garbage

Dzingle barzal brown
Smith pageau pyatt
Burrows Thompson chlapic

Chabot becomes the new quarterback beside nurse
Wideman Phaneuf claeson borvievski and oduya can flip back and forth unroll they find the right pairings


In new York I don't follow them too much but some two line punch of

Hoffman nuge eberle
And
Lee white Bailey

Would be pretty sick

And Edmonton I don't follow a lot either but adding Ryan to mcdavid and either lucid or kassian would make things really tough on goalies not to mention adding brassard to draisaitl and the other of lucic or kassian and Paul to the bottom 2 lines and changing one of their many defensive defensemen to a guy who can actually move the puck.

Too be honest I Kind've like this one. would suck giving up hoffman but the rest I could live with losing especially to see Tavares and barzal coming in. just 1 question though lol. where did karlsson go in this lol? You have Chabot and nurse as top pair and karlsson disappeared.

Sens make out like bandits! Don’t think islanders get enough back for their two best centermen and get two 2nd line centermen in return. Not to mention Ottawa also dumps 2 bad contracts in Ryan and brassard. trade favours sens too heavily.

Plus barzal is still as unproven as white but is off to a hot start in first 30 games white has same potential, tavares is great but between nuge and Hoff that more than covers Tavares value as both are top line players Hoff just plays for a coach who shuffles his lines like crazy and nuge can't make top line as some guy named mcdavid isn't easy to compete against for that spot.

This proposal is delusional af, even worse than flamers posts imo. so you're saying barzal is as unproven as white, hoffman + rnh = tavares, adding bobby ryan to mcdavids line makes the oilers better, like what in the actual F are you talking about? Brass Ryan contract and nuge nurse contract cancel out and Edmonton adds 2- 3 mil on the Ceci contract and that's it. nuge and Hoff contracts combined equal what Tavares will be asking for so by really just loses barzal contract >1 mil. how is that bad cap hit anywhere? And mertle, up till this year nuge was considered a bad contract too 1 could argue. brassard is NOWHERE NEAR a bad contract in fact he's a good one and Ryan may be over played but he's still a 50 point guy.

Facelift39 I don't think you even know what delusional means. Bobby Ryan is a consistant 50 point player who's slightly over payed so hell yeah he makes mcdavid line better considering his point totals playing with mcdavid would drastically increase. I could care less if you agree it's a fact.

And what has barzal done that white hasn't done outside the first 30 games of this year? Sure that ups his value to a bit more than white but that's where nuge and Hoff come in as they don't = Tavares, together they are better than Tavares but Tavares + Barzal = nuge + Hoff + white.

Also note that while Ryan is slightly overplayed so is nuge as outside this year his point totals don't exactly match his contract size either.

Get off your high horse and stop undervaluing sens players just because you personally may not like them, I personally hate marchand of the Bruins but I'm not going to go saying his a player that ain't worth much when I know the guy has value.

I've seen a lot of your posts and comments on other proposals involving sens and a lot of them are a joke. especially ones involving karlsson. you know top 3 generational player in the world today? Whoever is telling you bobby ryan is a consistant 50+ point player is misinforming you, look it up yourself! Comparing bobby ryan to rnh is laughable, ryan 31 years old and 4 years left at 7.25 and rnh 24 years old with 3 years left at 6.

You don't see a difference there? You call bobby ryans contract being "slightly" overpaid and that is the real joke here. Just because dollar value "cancels each other out" as you continually call it in your proposals, the skill level of the players exchanged never comes close and always makes me LOL!

What has barzal accomplished in the first 30+ games of this year that white hasnt? Well that's a no brainer, how about played in the nhl? Not only that but he's off to a hell of a start, might even win the calder. I don't think i undervalue my team, that would probably be a first on this site.
