3 way trade between Ottawa, Colorado and Tampa

Tampa gets: Karlsson, Conor timmins

Ottawa gets: Sergachev, Cirelli, Foote, COL 2019 1st (ottawa's)

Colorado gets: Tampa 2020 1st, Johnson, Ott 3rd 2019

Crazyattack7

1.) 10 Jul 2018 15:50:53
So Colorado gives up a good 19 year old RHD prospect and gives Ottawa back their own 1st round pick that should be a top 5, for Johnson (owed $30million), Tampa’s 1st (would be 25-31) and a 3rd from Sens?! Lol

Colorado just gets involved here to get screwed and help Ottawa’s rebuild by returning the pick their moron GM traded away and making it possible for them to cash in on Karlsson by taking Johnson’s salary out of the equation in Tampa.

The third team getting involved in these trades need to come out ahead to justify even being there. The only reason these things become 3 team trades is that teams 1 and 2 need team 3 to do them a favour. They get paid for that favour. They don’t pay to do youbthe favour. They’re the biggest loser in the whole deal haha makes zero sense.

2.) 10 Jul 2018 16:53:35
Haha oh man this is bad.

Easy no from Colorado. I don't think they trade that pick unless Karlsson is heading to Denver, not Tampa.

3.) 10 Jul 2018 18:04:45
Colorado gets bent over. Wouldn’t trade Timmons alone for that let alone a potential 1st ovr pick.

4.) 11 Jul 2018 10:42:27
This is horrible for TB. This is horrible for COL. Nice try, Sens fan.

5.) 11 Jul 2018 13:41:32
vbbbvvbb you wouldn't trade timmins for that lol.

6.) 11 Jul 2018 15:20:56
No I wouldn’t he has tremendous potential and in all the redrafts he’s a top 10 pick.

25 Feb 2018 02:09:58
Although I really don't want Karlsson to be traded, it seems inevitable. Heres what I think will happen. Let me know what you guys think.

Ottawa: Karlsson, 2019 4th
Tampa Bay: Sergachev, Point, 2018 1st, Raddysh

Crazyattack7

1.) 25 Feb 2018 04:08:42
I wouldn't if I was Tampa. I bet this or next season they win cup without Karlsson, don't need him.

2.) 25 Feb 2018 04:54:56
Lol wouldn’t trade Sergachev + Point alone for Karlsson
You say u don’t want Karlsson to be trade to make you legitimate but Ottawa takes that and run all day.

3.) 25 Feb 2018 06:13:46
Lol. That Sens 4th next year really helps Tampa consider this. 🙄🙄. This is a no from Tampa. They aren't trading both Sergachev and Point. Maybe one or the other if your lucky then add from there. Maybe not even one of them and Namestnikov instead. They don't really want to trade roster players now. Maybe Gourde instead of Point or Sergachev too Better chance of Gourde than the other two.

4.) 25 Feb 2018 14:16:14
TB will trade neither Point not Sergachev in any deal, Yzerman said. So forget all those horrid proposals.

5.) 25 Feb 2018 15:58:47
I could see Howden is place of Point. Both Sergachev and Point would not be traded.

Ottawa IMO needs to change the team and look for the future if they want to look for success in the future.

Ottawa: Hoffman
Oilers: 2017 1st, Ryan Strome
*been a rumour and a lot of people agree with this from both sides

Ottawa: Ryan
VGK: Colin Miller (dont know if they add anything)
* Vegas has PLENTY of cap room to work with. Ryan has proven he can play really well (playoffs) . Ottawa needs to sort out its defence (oduya out)

Ottawa: Brassard
Penguins: Guentzel
* TBH IDK if this is fair. Lemme know who adds etc

Crazyattack7

1.) 05 Jan 2018 01:06:45
all i know is that Sens add on the last 2. and i'm not sure about the first one. EDM does have a top 5 pick right now, but i feel like they can turn it on and still make the playoffs even. so maybe on draft day for that one? But i can say that if it IS in the top 10, i would take it as a sens fan.

2.) 05 Jan 2018 01:32:00
The 2 first are good but the 3rd is so badoy favoring Ottawa.

3.) 05 Jan 2018 02:10:14
Ottawa would have to add on the Ryan deal. Ryan has a massive contract and Vegas might want to do some shopping come July 1st. However, Ryan getting out could do him some good. I like the Guentzel deal, fair value and addresses both teams needs.

4.) 05 Jan 2018 03:19:49
Pits dosent touch that.

5.) 05 Jan 2018 03:25:28
As much as I’d maybe do the Hoffman trade, Edmonton has literally 3-4 right handed players in the line up on most nights and I think Oil should look to include a left handed shot player instead of Strome.

6.) 05 Jan 2018 03:25:39
No from Vegas and Pittsburgh and I'm assuming that's a 2018 first from Edmonton unless the Oilers throw in a time machine.

7.) 05 Jan 2018 03:34:57
First one is good. Has been proposed and I think it works.

Second one is a hell no from Vegas. Miller is playing solid and is on a good contract. Ryan is a cap dump no matter what, even for a team w. as much cap space as Vegas.

Third ones not terrible imo.

8.) 05 Jan 2018 05:36:55
Don't see them trading Hoffman. He is like one of the three players that Ottawa should keep.

Why would Vegas do that trade?
Colin Miller has worked out fine for them and even exceeded expectations. Also, they don't need to make any trades because as of right now, they're on top of the western conference.

Why would the Penguins do that?
Guentzel has much more value than Brassard simply because he's younger and won't really affect their cap.

9.) 08 Jan 2018 10:25:33
Pittsburg has been eying brassard as a third center to replace bonino so I could see that trade happening.

Take strome out of Hoffman deal though as ottawa getting rid of one of there best wingers doesn't mean they want a dud with a bad contract in return.

And the Ryan deal makes more sense if it's Neal not miller as the contracts are close to even but Vegas get the term on Ryan and ottawa gets the option to walk away from a reup if Neal don't pan out saving space.

10.) 08 Jan 2018 10:50:45
Wow it's crazy how people's opinions can be totally opposites. Thanks guys

29 Dec 2017 23:50:58
Ottawa: Hoffman
STL: Klim Kostin, 2018 1st

Crazyattack7

1.) 30 Dec 2017 00:22:13
Good post. Fits teams needs. Believable.
Only question is, as I'm not so family or with Kostin, but is he too good of a prospect to add to the first? But the first will be pretty late AND Hoffman does have one more year left on deal. So that's why I think it's a good all around deal and fit.

2.) 30 Dec 2017 02:06:54
Brassard got a huge downfall after being considered like a first center at NY so no way he gets that.

3.) 30 Dec 2017 02:26:40
No from St. Louis.

4.) 30 Dec 2017 02:49:10
That’s a hefty price but 🤷🏼‍♂️ Maybe.

5.) 30 Dec 2017 06:45:54
Klim Kostin was a projected like top 5-10 pick before missing most the season to injury. I think adding him to a first is way too much. I personally might not even do it straight up if i don't know i can lock up Hoffman after his current deal.

6.) 30 Dec 2017 10:46:14
Add Parayko and its close.

7.) 30 Dec 2017 14:31:34
Wouldn’t wanna trade Kostin he’s the complete package size, skill and shot reminds me of Ilya Kovlachuk who is better then Hoffman.

8.) 30 Dec 2017 18:26:42
Few things

1) blues do not have a first round pick in 2018 do to schenn deal. Nor should they blow another 1st.

2) mike hoffman is a lh lw blues have schwartz (returningsoon) steen, berglund, sobotka, sandford, prv, upshall, one would have to go back blues true need is a rh rw.

I get that hoffman can help. No doubt would be second best lw, (steen having bad year) . But moving him or another lw to the offside is not utilizing him or the other players. Steen and sobotka and a few others have been moved there with bad results. Blues really need a true 2nd line rw that has at most 1 2 years on contract. They also have several players needing raises next year.

I just don't see hoffman as a fit especially since kostin is a true power forward rw who can shoot he is 19 in the ahl. Will be a blue next year.

9.) 31 Dec 2017 03:26:37
Rumours are saying Hoffman Going To Edm somehow.

28 Dec 2017 12:32:06
Ottawa needs to make trades leading to the draft. No point in attempting to get players because they won't make the playoffs. They should get prospects and picks.

Ottawa: Hoffman
Oilers: 1st 2018

*a lot of rumours regarding hoffman to oilers to be Mcdavids shooting partner

OFFSEASON:
Ottawa: Brassard, Ceci
Chicago: Keith, 2nd

*Other than toews (struggling), Chicago doesn't have a quality center and a young, strong mobile defenceman

Crazyattack7

1.) 28 Dec 2017 13:39:03
Keith only makes 5.5 mill

Brassard makes 5 mill and ceci makes 2.8 till July then needs a raise.

They couldn’t take the cap hit today anyway, but the Hawks are always losing quality players due to salary cap problems, why would they trade an underpaid #1 defenseman to purposely create more problems for themselves in 6 months?

2.) 28 Dec 2017 14:36:09
Now the rumor is the Oilers and Sens talks about Hoffman died down. As per Elliote Friedman.

3.) 28 Dec 2017 14:36:38
A suggested fit for Hoffman now from Friedman is maybe Carolina or STL.

4.) 28 Dec 2017 18:08:34
Lmfao I heard the Edmonton one but the Chicago one is a joke for the sens Keith is old and starting to struggle so why would the sens want that contract? Lol Keith for Phaneuf and a 5th would be more realistic than that.

5.) 28 Dec 2017 20:50:48
Aloll i think you guys forget that their 1st will be one of the highest so Hoffmam is not enough.

6.) 29 Dec 2017 14:57:09
I dnt mind the first one. But if anything they will be getting younger.

sens laugh at the second pick.

Keith has been getting worse. Also ottawa could probably get a decent prospect or a solid top 6 forward for ceci.

7.) 29 Dec 2017 23:17:53
Actually Edm will finish in a higher position so their 2018 ist will not be that early as you suggest their keyhabs. I'm ok with the trade but the Sens could get more for Hoffman.

Just wondering if this would work.

Ottawa: 4th overall, hoffman

Carolina: 2nd overall, 4th 2018

23 Feb 2018 20:06:24
Confirmed trade:
Brassard to the pens for a 2018 1st, Ian Cole and prospect filip Gustavsson.

Who won this trade?

Crazyattack7

1.) 23 Feb 2018 20:39:54
It's a good move for Ottawa time will tell if they won the trade. gustavsson is a solid young goalie but I guess it depends on what they draft with the pick. i'm sure cole will be traded before the deadline so maybe they can get a 3rd or another prospect for him.

2.) 23 Feb 2018 21:02:40
Right now I’d say it’s pretty even. If Pens go on to win another cup or make the semi finals I’d say they’re the winners.

3.) 23 Feb 2018 21:06:00
This trade benefits the penguins imo, i like brassard and think he's valuable. hopefully the goalie prospect turns into somethimg in a few years tho.

4.) 24 Feb 2018 00:16:33
Not a done deal yet. Looks like Vegas is getting involved I would think to take some cap for Pitts to make it work.

12 Dec 2017 02:08:40
I think it would be smart for the ottawa staff to trade karlsson for this years first overall (dahlin or svetchnekov) and a good forward so that they can save the money atm.

Crazyattack7

1.) 12 Dec 2017 03:37:02
Dahlin + Duclair + Strome + Domi

10 Dec 2017 17:22:40
Ottawa 1-8-1 in their past 10, moved from 4th in conference to second last. I think it's time to make a few changes:

1. Fire Guy boucher
2. Trade Ceci for a forward or a 1st round pick
3. Try to ask burrows to waive his NTC and move him
4. Trade Karlsson to the stars for Seguin and klingberg
5. Trade chris wideman and a 3rd round draft pick to the VGK for colin miller

Crazyattack7

1.) 10 Dec 2017 18:13:20
Do anyone else think dallas would make this trade? let's assume karrlson wants 12mil a year even if they had a sign and trade agreement in place I'm not sure dallas does it.

2.) 10 Dec 2017 18:19:29
I don't think Dallas does that.

3.) 10 Dec 2017 22:09:34
Why would Dallas trade away 2 really important players that are both younger and cheaper than karlson. I think the only way Dallas goes after Karlson is if they thought that this year and maybe next was their window, it was now or never. They’d have to give up heiskenan, honka and a couple of 1sts to get Karlson as a rental which again is too much for a rental. I don’t think Dallas has the assets to acquire Karlson or at least assets that they’d be willing to move or should move.

4.) 11 Dec 2017 12:40:52
Dallas doesn't do this. Klingberg is elite, too. He is not as good as Karlsson, obviously, but in no world is the difference Seguin, especially factoring in their contracts.
An argument could be made that when building from scratch, taking Klingberg and his 4.25 per year is certainly better than Karlsson and whatever double digit number he'll get.

5.) 12 Dec 2017 04:26:16
"Elite"'is a big word and I don't think Klinberg is elite. It's not a word to throw around lightly. He could be some day tho.

6.) 12 Dec 2017 11:20:12
I certainly don't throw it around lightly, but I feel for the defenseman leading the NHL in points (among D), it is adequate.

21 Jun 2017 20:55:26
Confirmed:
Vegas has selected to take methot from the sens in the expansion draft.

This is very frustrating from a sens fan since we had the opportunity to trade phaneuf, trade ceci, but instead we lose our second most valuable d man for nothing smh.

Therefore, I hope Dorion doesn't win GM or the year

Crazyattack7

1.) 22 Jun 2017 03:45:02
And the habs get rid of emelin and I couldn't be happier lol.

2.) 22 Jun 2017 04:58:20
Ya, however woulda been happier if they took Plekanec. And say what ya wnat bout Emelin, but this is the 3rd Dman gone from the team in less than a week. i'm glad we keep Davidson, but. something else has to happen.

3.) 22 Jun 2017 13:18:45
The actual need on defense remains the same as it did since last year. another top pairing dman. this hasn't changed with the moves they have made so far. beaulieu had his chances in that spot and so did emelin. sergachev may develop into one but even he took a step backwards in his development last year. Essentially they got rid of 2 expensive dman that can be IMO easily replaced internally if worse comes to worse. and a prospect.

Seems like an overpayment from buffalo. He'll be an unrestricted free agent next year so his value decreases slightly due to the latter.

@vbbbvvbb then you haven't watched Myers' goal against the wild in game 2 of the playoffs. Legit just danced around the defender to score. Haven't seen Gardiner do that, let alone in the playoffs

Its Gardiner's first season with over 50 pts in his 7 year nhl career. You can't just throw-in (50 point d-man) if he just reached that once.
