Lowry could be packaged with prospects and draft choices to get a much better player than Stephan. The Jets have enough 4th line players so they don't need an old, overpaid Stephan.

Stephan 38 points, Lowry 10 points
Lowry 2.9 million, Stephan 6 million.
Stephan is the much better player and only 2 yrs difference in age.

Lowry is actually 27 and Stepan had 28 points. Stepan was a consistent 55 point guy for a long time but his past two seasons have been bad and getting worse. No way he’s worth his 6M. Lowry probably isn’t worth his 3M either but that’s an easy no from the Jets IMO.
