Lol Nylander played a whole season at centre before in 2017 but Keller has never played centre at any level in his career.
No clue why someone would possibly think Keller is a centre.
With that being said I’d take both players over Nylander because of contract.

Why would Buffalo worry about retaining a salary on a one year contract when they get a draft picks or prospects? We certainly are on the edge of the cap, unless you are trading Nylander it very difficult to acquire a depth player with the $$$ we have remaining.

I’m confused, why would the Leafs trade Nylander to shed cap and then sign Tkachuk to a 7M AAV when Nylander already gets paid the exact same amount.
Toronto’s problem isn’t that Marner doesn’t want to sign with them, it’s that they don’t have the money to sign him and right now it’s just a waiting game on who breaks first. Will Marner take a pay cut to stay with the Leafs or will the Leafs trade somebody to make room for Marner.

I hoped that we wouldn't have to read anymore Kadri to the Jets for Trouba posts. I hope Chevy doesn't sleep walk, then calls Dubas as that's the only way he makes this lopsided trade. Kadri is the Leafs headache and I hope he stays in Toronto as the "best 3rd line center in the history of the NHL" for many years to come and we don't have to put up with these dumb trade proposals.

I actually think Kadri in Winnipeg would be great for the team. He would slot into the 2nd line Center spot and would be a great penalty killer while a 30 goal scorer each year. 3 years left on his contract too.

Leafs would add because of the age difference but yes Kadri would easily be the #2 center with a great contract that would help the jets. This is not too far fetched at all considering team needs. The leafs can’t afford Trouba though, he and the biasboys thinks their sh*t doesn’t stink. Why do the young “stars†want out of Winnipeg? Do they not realize this is the best team in the league?
