To NJ : Tj Brodie, Dillon Dube, 1st-Round Pick & Ty Parsons

To CGY : Taylor Hall

(I would expect Hall to sign considering he's from Calgary) then Calgary would have to move Frolik or wait until he expires next year. They could also move Jankowski to free up cap.

Gaudreau - Monahan - Lindholm

Hall - Backlund - Tkachuk

Sean Moneyhands

1.) 20 Oct 2019 17:25:11
NJ takes this in a milli second because there is no doubt Hall is bolting in Free agency.
Rental type trade anticipating him holding out for the highest bidder come UFA time would be a smarter trade than burning these assets and seeing him walk. He'll be looking for Marner money no doubt. No hometown discounts for this boy.

15 Oct 2019 19:21:43
Mark Jankowski for Erik Haula

More Depth at Center in Jankowski
More Speed in Haula

Sean Moneyhands

1.) 15 Oct 2019 23:08:57
Still don’t see why either team would do this? They are both centers and one’s faster?

Like I don’t see why Canes or Flames do this.

2.) 16 Oct 2019 00:46:36
Jankowski has been not good this year. But still early. but right now don't think he's worthy of haula, would be a gamble but could pay off good.

3.) 16 Oct 2019 00:48:17
Canes get better on the PK, Flames get faster

4.) 16 Oct 2019 01:31:57
Do the canes need more size?

Do the flames need more speed?

Guess those would be the questions to why either team would think of doing this?

5.) 16 Oct 2019 09:53:22
Flames definitely need more speed and Canes need size after losing Ferland

6.) 16 Oct 2019 10:38:36
Sorry, Carolina. Forgot Huala is in Carolina now. No chance Carolina does this.

7.) 16 Oct 2019 17:20:15
Pretty easy no from Carolina. And I’m a fan of both players.

30 Sep 2019 01:22:33
Josh Ho Sang for Jesse Puljujarvi

Jonathan Drouin for Jonas Brodin

Michael Frolik for 3rd

Sean Moneyhands

1.) 30 Sep 2019 15:23:36
Ho Sang for Pully is a good trade for both teams. I don't think Brodin is worth Drouin and Frolik is a salary dump so I don't think he would get anything higher than a 4th.

2.) 30 Sep 2019 15:49:24
Ho Sang got put on waivers….

3.) 30 Sep 2019 15:58:55
What team will take a chance on Ho Sang? Columbus?

4.) 30 Sep 2019 18:51:37
Ho Sang can probably just get picked up on Waivers, so why trade for him?

Think Habs need to add something to get Brodin.

Frolik + 1st for a longshot prospect is more likely what it takes to ship him out.

5.) 30 Sep 2019 23:48:47
Drouin is worth more than Brodin. Drouin is a top line player. Brodin is a plug and bottom pair d on most teams, including probably the Habs. He isn’t worth a forward that can play all positions and put up 50+ points.

Frolik is garbage. I can’t believe he almost landed Calgary Kessel. That would have been the steal of the decade if it got through.

6.) 01 Oct 2019 10:14:36
Islandjet Perreault, 4,125mil, 82 games, 15g, 30 point, -1. Frolik,4.3 mil₩ 65 games, 16g, 34 points, +24. If frolik is a cap dump, your guy is a complete boat anchor that is definitely untradable. Frolik had more points in nearly 20 games and +25 better and didn't play with 20 hockey gods in Winnipeg.

7.) 02 Oct 2019 05:34:05
Oh ya, everyone remembers the packages you guys were asking for perrault. Just proved he's way worse than a guy you call a cap dump and garbage and then pretend to know about hockey. Just cause you've never watched frolik play doesn't mean he's garbage. Not even a flames fan and I see he's a valuable part just had problems with the coach or was on pace for 50 plus points and +35. That would be 4th on Winnipeg in points and miles ahead in +/ . He was +50! Better than your precious Laine. You know why? He plays defence and actually gives a rubbish.

26 Sep 2019 18:51:13
Jonathan Drouin for Tj Brodie

Sean Moneyhands

1.) 26 Sep 2019 20:05:26
Montreal is trying to dump Drouin. Julien is reported to want him gone pretty bad. He's not worth that much. But if you're happy with it. Great.

2.) 26 Sep 2019 20:31:24
Flames capped out, they can't afford to have more salary in than out.

3.) 26 Sep 2019 21:13:41

MTL:Drouin, Byron,1rd2020.

4.) 26 Sep 2019 22:26:09
If Brodie had an extension, I could see this as a base. Can the Flames fit in Drouin’s contract even with subtracting Brodie?

5.) 26 Sep 2019 23:13:11
Flames have $650,000 under the cap I think now.

6.) 27 Sep 2019 08:08:23
Flames can shed Frolik to a contender

7.) 27 Sep 2019 17:09:47
To shed Frolik Flames would need to add an unprotected first to the deal. A contender wouldn't take Frolik. There's only maybe 8 teams that have the cap to take on Frolik's salary right now, and only 3 or 4 that are in rebuild mode this year that would take him to bury him to attain the first round pick to get better in the future. Jersey, Ottawa, Columbus, maybe LA would be the top runners to do this. Other than that, no one wants a player at that salary level that takes more days off than days he comes to play.

24 Sep 2019 03:44:06
Nico Hischier, Damon Severson & 1st-Round Draft Pick
Patrik Laine (verbal agreement to resign with the NJD)

- OR -

Cody Glass, Nate Schmidt & 1st-Round Draft Pick
Patrik Laine (verbal agreement to resign with VGK)

- OR -

Nolan Patrick, Travis Sanheim & 1st-Round Draft Pick
Patrik Laine (verbal agreement to resign with PHI)

Sean Moneyhands

1.) 24 Sep 2019 13:52:51
I think the Jersey one would receive consideration.

I highly doubt the Jets make a trade with Vegas. In any case Schmidt, is to old and with a bad contract, to be considered. Leaving Glass and the 1st which isn't enough value.

Sanheim and the 1st is nice, but Patrick would need to be replaced with something else. Far too injury prone to take a chance on. But this would probably be a good base to work on.

2.) 24 Sep 2019 14:18:28
I guess this is what they are asking for. but for any team to consider trading those 3 pieces, Laine would have to be on a very good contract and if that was the case, I don't think we would be waiting this long to find out what is happening.

3.) 24 Sep 2019 14:27:00
The New Jersey one seems like an overpayment. They give up a young C who could arguably be low end 1st line C but High end 2C. Plus a Top 4 Dman and a 1st?

I think at least one of the pieces should be dropped out in this deal.

I feel the other two are closer.

What are other thoughts on this?

4.) 24 Sep 2019 15:15:03
I still don't believe that the Jets are going to trade Laine at this time but the NJ and Philly offers would make the Jets really think about making a trade.

5.) 24 Sep 2019 15:58:56
Patrick has missed 10 games in both his seasons. It’s not great but it’s not that bad. Far to injury prone is an exaggeration.
Schmidt is a 35-40 point D making 5.9M. How is that a bad contract?! Plus he’s 28 which is on the back end of his prime.
Those are three big packages. It miiiight be how much it takes to get Laine but I don’t think so.

6.) 24 Sep 2019 18:00:34
No way from NJ I actually don’t mind the other ones tho tbh.

7.) 24 Sep 2019 18:48:59
NJ and Philly are gross overpayments.

8.) 24 Sep 2019 18:51:11
Vbb’s thinks Laine is a God, so are Larry and Moe out to lunch on the other 2 deals?

9.) 24 Sep 2019 19:38:48
Don’t think he’s a good he’s a one trick pony that is unreal at the most important thing in hockey.

10.) 25 Sep 2019 13:49:06
ALl 3 are overpayments.

11.) 25 Sep 2019 16:43:43
If jets could get any of those packages Laine would be long gone. If that's the kind of trade jets are looking for, laine is sitting out this year.

12.) 25 Sep 2019 23:45:19
triplets beat me to it.

all are gross overpayemnts,

looks more like what mcmarcus and island jet wanted for trouba than would either one of them say laine is worth

"jets really think about it"

no, the jets take any of those 3 packages and RUN AWAY FAST

espially a guy who doesn't really want to pay there.

please get a clue.

Theres something about James Neal i swear. When he played for Nashville they made it far in the playoffs, when he played for Vegas they made the Finals, when he played for Pittsburgh they made it far, when he played for Calgary they were the second best team now edmonton is succeeding on every level. What is it about James Neal that makes teams succeed lmao every team that has him overachieves

Sean Moneyhands

1.) 14 Oct 2019 20:49:49
Don't worry about the Oilers. They'll come back down to earth. They're still a shoe-in for one of the 5 worst teams in hockey.

2.) 15 Oct 2019 11:44:17
Obviously the Oilers won’t sustain their current trend but pretty stupid to just dump them into “5 worst teams in hockey”, isn’t it? Dunce. They’ve surprised, they won’t sustain, but they’re not exactly striking it rich with bounces or anything. Hard fought games to get 2 points. Always from behind which is why they won’t keep this up but a more cohesive team than they’ve iced in years. So, yeah, great analysis joe. 🙄.

3.) 17 Oct 2019 17:35:12
Nobody is claiming that the Oilers are going to stay on this level. Oilers fans firsthand know that they'll get down to earth.

29 Sep 2019 23:30:21
Drouin for Ehlers

Sean Moneyhands

1.) 30 Sep 2019 00:57:28
Moronic proposal. Where is the incentive for the Jets to take a massive downgrade?

2.) 30 Sep 2019 01:58:17
Drouin is cheaper so no thanks.

3.) 30 Sep 2019 03:11:56
Massive downgrade? 37 point season sounds like an overpaid winger. Sound familiar biasjoe?

4.) 30 Sep 2019 05:09:10
Drouin literally had more points than ehlers last year so where is the massive downgrade cause i'm sure everyone would like to know

5.) 30 Sep 2019 13:55:43
Ehlers is a year younger and has scored more in his career in less games than Drouin. Why would the Jets trade the far superior player for a team cancer that is being run off of his second team in 5 seasons for being lazy, when that cancer doesn't fill a need for us?

I'd really like to hear your "reasoning" on how this makes the Jets better by taking on the worse player, although I know simpletons like you guys don't use reasoning.

6.) 30 Sep 2019 14:06:42
@Leafs17, why are you bringing Nylander into this discussion? I agree he is overpaid about 1.5 million. However, he only had 27 points last year, not the 37 you are crediting him with. 😆.

7.) 30 Sep 2019 14:15:23
Ehlers was hurt last season but still scored 20 goals. I think any team would be wary to trade for Drouin as 2 good NHL coaches couldn't get him to be a structured team player and seemingly want to move on from him. If the Jets were to trade Ehlers it would be for a d-man.

8.) 30 Sep 2019 15:28:42
Maybe its the " homer" in me., but I'm still not ready to give up on Drouin yet.

9.) 30 Sep 2019 16:11:44
@sosa yeah I agree now I would trade him if we could get something back that helps. But it would be pointless to trade him for ehlers as the two are essentially the same player.

10.) 30 Sep 2019 19:30:40
Well biasjoe, I didn’t say it was a good trade for the jets. I was referring to the “massive downgrade” comment. I understand how upset you must be about the “massive downgrade” the jets have made this off season, but you don’t need to be even more immature. You’re like talking to a grade school kid that tripped over a dictionary. The my daddy can beat up your daddy crap is getting old. There’s one person on this site that hangs on your every word, the rest see your true colours. Looking forward to a whole season with the over paid winger you’re referring to.

11.) 30 Sep 2019 20:38:05
Typical Leafs17 response. Nothing factual, or objective. Just a bunch of crying because no one agrees with your biased posts on players that you are very, very ignorant about. Grow up. If you have nothing intelligent to add to the thread, don't reply. Your whining about everyone else is very tiring.

12.) 30 Sep 2019 20:57:53
Leafs17, how about if I just say "no thanks, it doesn't help the Jets". Will you be able to dry your eyes then?

13.) 30 Sep 2019 23:53:11
Hahaha you guys are hilarious lmao

14.) 30 Sep 2019 23:54:24
Not sure what else to say to you biasjoe. When 90% of the people on this site disagree with you, maybe you’re the problem.

15.) 01 Oct 2019 00:09:07
nhl. com has Winnipeg at #14, bahaha! What a “massive downgrade”. I’d be upset too.

16.) 01 Oct 2019 10:19:38
Well I think Jets easily decline.

17.) 01 Oct 2019 13:15:11
Habs pass easily. Winnipeg can keep their overpaid, one-dimensional, 37 point wingers. But maybe there is team out there that will give them a 6/ 7 dman for Ehlers, but I doubt it. Maybe something could be worked out where Montreal sends Winnipeg Karl Alzner for Ehlers? Of course Winnipeg would have to add since Ehlers has more term and money on his contract.

29 Sep 2019 05:31:06
Rantanen and Connor's contracts are really goood

Sean Moneyhands

1.) 30 Sep 2019 12:09:49
Depends what you’re comparing with. Compared to Marner yes, but Rantanen makes just a tad less than Kucherov and his contract expires 2 years sooner. I still think it’s good, but almost seems like top of the market.

29 Sep 2019 05:30:44
Tobias Rieder scores 2 Goals and Milan Lucic scores 1 Goal against the Oilers. Yikes

Sean Moneyhands

1.) 29 Sep 2019 14:53:00
Who scores more this year Lucic or Neal?

I’m guessing Neal.

2.) 29 Sep 2019 17:17:31
Neal only because he’ll play with McDavid off and on or always.

3.) 29 Sep 2019 19:18:26
Im praying for Neal to bounce back. I have no hate towards him or edmonton

4.) 29 Sep 2019 22:49:17
I don’t know if many people outside of Edmonton fans have seen much of Lucic the last couple years and I can almost guarantee Neal does. Buuut that’s actually hilarious and happens to the Oil all the time. Reider doesn’t score for a full season then his first game against them he gets 2! Haha.

27 Sep 2019 21:35:39
Did you guys listen to the Tkachuk interview?

Matthew Tkachuk wants to be in Calgary and is happy no one had to be dealt to make room for his new deal.

He's for sure going to be their next captain. He's such a good guy and a leader.

Sean Moneyhands

1.) 28 Sep 2019 10:50:47
Hilarious that’s what every player would say. Evander Kane said that same quote when signing with the Sharks and more recently Marner did also.

2.) 28 Sep 2019 16:35:23
I can’t stand the kid. I think he’s a top five douchebag in the league myself. Lol.

3.) 28 Sep 2019 18:27:44
@yupp but wouldn't you want Tkachuk on your team? I know you would, he's such a good player

4.) 28 Sep 2019 19:11:41
I never said I wouldn’t. Still would hate him as a person tho. But I do like his hockey game. Hate that he is such a douchebag tho.

5.) 28 Sep 2019 19:18:30
Anyone would want him on their team but I agree with vbb’s for once that every player says that.
