Calgary Flames - T.J Brodie, Ty Parsons, Dillon Dube & 1st-Round Draft Pick

New Jersey Devils - Taylor Hall

(Devils continue their strong rebuild and acquire a top 4 defencemen, a solid former memorial cup champion goalie prospect, a solid skilled center & first round draft pick)

#2
Calgary Flames - Mikael Backlund

Anaheim Ducks - Rickard Rakell

(Ducks acquire a good second line center who could be very useful on their pk, and flames acquire a lw who could play rw due to being right handed, similar in point totals)

#3
Calgary Flames - Michael Frolik

Columbus Blue Jackets - 2nd-Round Draft Pick

(Jackets acquire a top 6 rw who would be a nice fit on the pk and can give them more speed, flames shed cap)

The losing Frolik, Brodie would give them the cap space to resign Hall

Johnny Gaudreau - Sean Monahan - Rickard Rakell

Taylor Hall - Elias Lindholm - Matthew Tkachuk

Milan Lucic - Sam Bennett - Mark Jankowski

Andrew Mangiapane - Derek Ryan - Austin Czarnik

Mark Giordano - Rasmus Andersson

Noah Hanifin - Travis Hamonic

Oliver Kylington - Rinat Valiev

Taylor Hall is going to market. That's a lot to give up, especially for a guy on an expiring deal.

2.) 20 Aug 2019 13:40:34
No from Anaheim. Rakell is one of their best players and Backlund fits perfectly with calgary.

3.) 20 Aug 2019 13:50:50
Easy no's for all teams not named Calgary.

4.) 20 Aug 2019 23:10:08
Taylor Hall will not be getting traded he just bought a home in New Jersey a couple days ago. Also terrible offer for Rakel.

1.) 04 Aug 2019 12:29:50
Not bad.

2.) 04 Aug 2019 12:30:47
Actually never mind Rangers shouldn’t trade their 1st or if they do they should protect it for sure.

3.) 05 Aug 2019 10:51:10
I'd do it from rangers perspective IF the 1st round pick is lottery protected.

4.) 06 Aug 2019 18:50:46
There is no way this trade happens. Edm Needs something equal to RNH coming back.

Sean Moneyhands

1.) 04 Aug 2019 14:28:22
1st trade wouldn't be too bad if Russell wasn't included.

2.) 05 Aug 2019 00:02:03
In my opinion Canes trade a defenseman for only forwards. Puljarvji is hit or miss but they got a crazy amount of de that russell doesn't really fit. Just a flyer on pujujarvi so not that bad.

3.) 05 Aug 2019 03:49:36
Thanks for the feedback yea carolina is stacked with d prospects

4.) 05 Aug 2019 10:03:12
Why would oilers trade puljujärvi for a D prospect? Thet are loaded with D’s. prob even the best D prospect pool in the legue. bouchard, Broberg, Jones, bear, samorukov, Lagesson. Persson? I mean they don't need bean.

5.) 06 Aug 2019 05:02:16
Only heard of 3 of those 7 prospects you named. Imo Colorado easily has the best d pool.

04 Aug 2019 06:59:32
To Carolina Hurricanes -
Jesse Puljujarvi
Kris Russell

To Edmonton Oilers -
Jake Bean

Oilers clear more cap space and gain a good defensive prospect who is also from Alberta, Hurricanes acquire a Top 6 RW who has the potential to become a 60 Point Player but needs a change of scenery and acquire a Top 6 LHD.

Maybe Aho - Puljujarvi could be a good finnish pair.

Sean Moneyhands

1.) 04 Aug 2019 14:29:25
Take out Russell.

02 Aug 2019 08:27:56

To Ottawa Senators -
Zack Kassian ( 1yr / 1.9M )
Sam Gagner ( 1yr / 3.15M )
Third-Round Draft Pick in 2020

Oilers then sign Michael Stone ( 1.0M @ 1YR ) & Kevin Shattenkirk ( 2.75M @ 1YR )

Leon Draisaitl - Connor McDavid - James Neal

Alex Chiasson - Ryan Nugent-Hopkins - Jesse Puljujarvi

Markus Granlund - Jean Gabriel Pageau - Josh Archibald

Tomas Jurco - Jujhar Khaira - Joakim Nygard

Oscar Klefbom - Adam Larsson

Darnell Nurse - Kevin Shattenkirk

Matt Benning - Michael Stone

1.) 02 Aug 2019 13:18:00
Did Ken Holland find his 4 leaf clover? Why do Pittsburgh and Ottawa do this?

And why do free agents take a show me deal in Edmonton instead of contenders?

2.) 02 Aug 2019 19:10:22
Oilers trade another linemate of mcdavid, kassian can skate and Will keep playing with mcdavid and drai.

3.) 03 Aug 2019 02:25:29
@monkeyful that's exactly what they need. A show me contract, you think they don't have to prove themselves after getting bought out? Loool overvalue people just to be against others on this site no matter what eh?

10. Pastrnak

11. Wheeler

12. Giroux

13. Stone

14. Tarasenko

15. Hall

16. Huberdeau

17. Tkachuk

18. Landeskog

19. Laine

20. Kessel

Sean Moneyhands

1.) 13 Aug 2019 21:33:15
Fair rankings as you can see Marner is the youngest I’d definitely take the top 3 over Marner. I’d take Ovie over Kucherov and Kane best goal scorer ever debatably. Marchand is a super star and brings more emotion then any player.

2.) 13 Aug 2019 21:54:47
Agreed vbb. I also love that Gaudreau and Tkachuk are getting love :)))

3.) 13 Aug 2019 22:21:18
Stone should be higher.

4.) 13 Aug 2019 22:57:40
Draisaitl > Marner.
Draisaitl has better two way game, bigger size, better shot, scores way more goals.

5.) 13 Aug 2019 23:11:31
I think Huberdeau at 16 seems low. however., I can't see who I'd move for him. Wow, sure are a lot of good wingers in the game. . if your going all around player, I don't put Ovi at 3. obviously he's the best goal scorer, but all around player. no. And isn't Giroux a center? Or did he play wing last year?

6.) 14 Aug 2019 02:11:26
Lmao. Kane the best goal scorer ever? Wtf.

7.) 14 Aug 2019 06:24:08
Also, can somebody explain how Marchand is better than Draisaitl?
If Draisaitl has McDavid and that's your argument against him, Marchand has Pasternak and Bergeron.
Draisaitl is also much bigger, stronger, better goal scorer, better two way than Marchand.

8.) 14 Aug 2019 07:25:34
Agree with Barrie.
Also as islandjet said, Stone should be higher.
And Kucherov over Ovechkin and Kane for sure. Ovechkin is a bit better as scorer (although Kuch is very good at scoring goals himself, scoring 40 in the last 3 seasons) . And at the same time, he's obviously a much better playmaker, as evidenced by his 128 points last year. Right now, Kucherov deserves #1.

9.) 14 Aug 2019 23:02:20
Lol you lost it if you think Kane is the best goal scorer ever he’s not even top 10 Ovie is by far the best in the game.

Also Drais 2way game is overrated was he even on there top PK lol Marner is a definitely better defensively.

10.) 15 Aug 2019 06:38:34
Did VB just. make fun of his own comment? Lol
I know yupp misinterpreted VBs original comment, but apparently VB cannot read and just made fun of his own "comment" lol

Also, since when is "being on a teams top PK" the one and only measuring stick for a player being good defensively? Stupid once again.

11.) 15 Aug 2019 12:26:35
I’m pretty sure I showed VB the stats a while ago that Marner was like the 4th forward on the leafs in PK time/ game. Which means I’d argue Marner wasn’t on the leafs top PK haha, at least he wasn’t used like it.

12.) 15 Aug 2019 17:45:20
jb32
It's easier to teach a monkey how to juggle than it is to teach VB stats.

13.) 17 Aug 2019 01:49:18
Can you juggle tybaby?

14.) 19 Aug 2019 19:18:53
@Habby2
I'd consider myself pretty good. Not going to win any juggling olympics though.

09 Aug 2019 17:38:46
* Idea from VBB

U26 VS U26+

U26

Draisaitl - McDavid - Kucherov

Gaudreau - MacKinnon - Rantanen

Pettersson - Barkov - Marner

Eichel - Schiefele - Pastrnak

Ekman-Larsson - Jones

Klingberg - Dahlin

Slavin -  Heiskanen

Vasilevsky

Gibson

U26+

Ovechkin - Crosby - Kane

Stamkos - Tavares - Malkin

Hall - Seguin - Benn

Marchand - Bergeron - Wheeler

Hedman - Karlsson

Josi - Letang

Giordano - Burns

Price

Bobrovsky

Just a few tweaks

Sean Moneyhands

1.) 09 Aug 2019 17:46:08
Letang over Doughty also are you crazy?

2.) 09 Aug 2019 18:45:16
😱😱😱😱. Where’s Mathews?

3.) 09 Aug 2019 18:45:48
Lol Mathews makes the roster for sure he was on pace for 50 goals this season almost more then Pettersson had points.

4.) 09 Aug 2019 20:12:02
If there was no such thing as salary cap and I was building a team for a dynasty ( more then 1 year ) the only players I’d take over Mathews is McDavid, Marner and Maybe Dahlin. I stand by my comment that Drais would score a maximum of 70 points on the leafs.

5.) 10 Aug 2019 10:43:15
Also this is clearly a leaf hate post because the disrespect of taking out the 3rd highest point producing dman in Rielly and putting in Heiskanen while a promising dman is not even in the same tier. It also speaks to your lack of knowledge by leaving out the best dman in the NHL ( Doughty) and putting a 28 year old Oliver Ekkman Larsson on the U26 team. Not to mention a struggling Jamie Benn on the other team.

6.) 11 Aug 2019 05:00:33
Vbb i don't hate the leafs at all i just think Heiskanen is super good at such a young age and still has room to grow while being very underrated. Its not all about points. No hate to Rielly at all, maybe Rielly playing with Barrie this season will make him a lot better too. I see him getting a lot of recognition this season

7.) 11 Aug 2019 10:17:43
Barrie will not be playing with Rielly how could he get a lot more recognition he was almost PPG as a dman. He had almost as much points as Heiskanen, Jones And Slavin combined.

8.) 12 Aug 2019 10:03:49
If you take contract and injury into consideration
, Draisailt>Matthews.

09 Aug 2019 11:08:29
Barkov ( Underrated )

Matthews ( Overrated )

Draisaitl ( Underrated )

Marner ( Overrated )

Monahan ( Underrated )

Trouba ( Overrated )

E.Lindholm ( Underrated )

Gaudreau ( Overrated )

Anyone agree? Or disagree?

Sean Moneyhands

1.) 09 Aug 2019 12:18:29
None of those players are overrated besides Monahan he’s a product of Guadreau. 2C on most top teams. Guadreau is a star.

2.) 09 Aug 2019 12:52:58
Matthews and Marner are the only two overrated ones on that list.

3.) 09 Aug 2019 13:06:20
Actually, I guess I also agree that Gaudreau is overrated. All the other guys are about rated where they should be.

4.) 09 Aug 2019 13:48:11
I think it's a pretty accurate list

I have a question. who do you guys take

Barkov. or Mathews?

5.) 09 Aug 2019 14:20:58
Barkov, all day, every day. A more complete, better overall player. Plus not injury prone.

6.) 09 Aug 2019 20:16:21
Mathews is 2 years younger and is a top 5 goal scorer in the game it’s not even close Mathews brings more value to a team now talking contracts its hard Barkov will probably get around 16 million per season on his next contract assuming the cap rises to 90+ million ( not sure when his contract ends ) Barkov is better defensively tho it’s like comparing Kopitar to Lindros.

7.) 09 Aug 2019 20:27:05
Barkov even at the same cap hit. And I'm not trying to take anything away from Matthews I just think barkov is better. Right now anyway.

8.) 09 Aug 2019 23:36:31
Habby give him a full season;)

9.) 10 Aug 2019 00:00:13
Barkov > Matthews easily. And Barkov played on a sh** team, but i'm sure they'll make the playoffs this year

10.) 12 Aug 2019 10:05:14
Barkov>>Matthews.

09 Aug 2019 11:06:34
Matthews and Marner are easily the most overrated players in the league hands down. The toronto media likes to hype them up so much and its very annoying. a lot of Leafs fans on HF think the same. They get really tired of constantly hearing about them

Sean Moneyhands

1.) 09 Aug 2019 12:14:02
Well Toronto is the biggest NHL market and both players are undisputedly the 2 best players in leafs history what do you expect. IMO Marner will be a top 10 player in history.

2.) 09 Aug 2019 13:21:43
vbb you have to be kidding. He has 1 PPG season in his career so far, while Matthews hasn't even played a full season or reached 80 points yet.

3.) 09 Aug 2019 13:44:40
Vb. how can you call them the 2 best players in Leafs history?
What about Keon, and Sittler, Sundin. Gilmour did more for the Leafs than those 2 have even thought of . And there are others. Wendell Clark. Rick Vaive, Goeorge Armstrong, Tim Horton, ect ect.

Both Mathews and Marner have the opportunity to be the best ever Leafs. , and I'm sure as long as they stay with the team, they will be, or at least top 5 .
But. its a discredit to some of the Leaf legends to call 2 kids who have only 3 years of service the best ever on a storied Franchise like the Leafs.

4.) 09 Aug 2019 14:01:52
Leafs aren’t like the Canadians none of those players are like Morez, Lafleur, Beliveau, Richard etc I think Marner will be up there with those players and possibly Mathews if he stays healthy.

5.) 09 Aug 2019 21:17:05
Vb. this has nothing to do with the Canadiens. . this is all about the Leafs.

6.) 09 Aug 2019 23:37:58
The leafs organization has been a joke since the late 60s it’s not a big deal to be the best player in there history.

7.) 10 Aug 2019 03:36:46
They obviously suffered through the Harlold Ballard days., however, I still think some of the legends deserve a lil more respect and credit.

8.) 10 Aug 2019 04:25:47
VB how can you make a statement like Marner and Mathews will go down amongst the best of all time, 3 years into their careers, and then also claim you aren’t biased? You don’t see anyone saying that about players on their teams here. And if I said Point was, despite being a center putting up similar offensive numbers to Marner while being relied on much more heavily defensively, youd lose your mind. Mathews is a worse Stamkos to this point in his career. Too early to say they won’t be legend status, but WAY to early to claim they will, a lot of Leaf media pumping them up to think that.

9.) 11 Aug 2019 05:02:03
Jbs explained it very well

07 Aug 2019 04:14:14
Leafs should trade Marner at this point. The kid is an absolute headache. He wants a 10mil x 3yr bridge deal. Fricking horrible

Sean Moneyhands

1.) 07 Aug 2019 05:37:07
What can you expect? If I was in Marner's shoes I'd ask for the same.
Hockey is a business.

2.) 07 Aug 2019 07:21:25
Why fault the player? No one forces TOR to pay it. Everyone would do the same if they were Marner.
Players have quite few rights in the NA pro sports system anyways, so don't fault them for using the few possibilites they have to get the best deal for them and their families.

3.) 07 Aug 2019 09:49:48
Im speaking from managements perspective. Spread out their depth and acquire multiple cheaper assets than building up all your money into one player whos being stubborn to a team desperate for cap space

4.) 07 Aug 2019 15:23:09
So you think Paniran deserves more then Marner?

5.) 07 Aug 2019 18:45:27
@vbb not at all. Panarin is overpaid haha. I just think Marners asking for a little too much when his stats with boosted due to playing with Tavares. Need to take who he played with on his line and the pp into consideration.

6.) 08 Aug 2019 13:44:44
But Marner is better then Tavares he’d probably still get around the same point totals without Tavares ( would probably have JVR on his line still ) . Keep in mind Marner out produced Tavares and Tavares set career highs if anything they complimented each other. I’d definitely say he’s worth more then Mathews but maybe not league wide as Center is the is the more valuable position.

7.) 08 Aug 2019 18:58:48
Dumbas should have traded Nylander about two weeks before the season started when that cr@p was going on. Instead he gave in and overpaid, Gave Mathews shorter term, now Marner knows he can push Dumbas around. It’s hilarious.

Laine > Drouin (not by much)

Roslovic > Brooks (not by much aswell)

1st from Montreal

Umm i honestly think that's a pretty good and fair trade but on the other hand. Winnipeg needs a center so why would they trade Roslovic, and they have no need for a LW. Brooks and the 1st would be nice but this trade doesn't really meet their needs.

Great value
But doesn't meet winnipegs needs. As for Montreal i'd say it doesn't meet their needs aswell. They don't need a RW, they don't need a centermen aswell.
