It would be a dumb thing to do for ether team but I saw this comment price for the 1 st ovr

Now I'm not sure that a 1st ovr is worth that much so what would it take from the leaf the first, a very good top prospect and a good establish player?

Montrealfinest

1.) 03 Jun 2016 09:24:08
Take out the 1st overall.
Imo Sparks+Komarov+Pitsburgh1st should be fair for Price.

2.) 03 Jun 2016 11:30:29
I can't tell if you're joking BJ. Either way, Montreal's hopes for a cup rely heavily on a healthy Price. They would be crazy to trade him. The leafs have been waiting for a #1 center for years, it would be even crazier to trade the 1st.

3.) 03 Jun 2016 14:12:26
LOL! Leafs17, you really can't tell the sarcasm of BJ there? Seriously?
He's making fun of majority Leafs proposals on here there.
I can't believe you can't tell he's joking there.

4.) 03 Jun 2016 14:32:33
Hey guys he forgot to add kapanen to the mix too hahaha.

5.) 03 Jun 2016 20:34:43
Ok yup.

29 May 2016 23:55:24
Draft biggest bust: 1 mcloud projected High but Will be a Third liner

2 Logan Brown same thing there! Plus do you know any 6, 6 player wh dominate the nhl?

3 nylander thé younger brother are always not has good has thé réal deal! Stall, bure strome

Im pretty much right in those type of thing.

Montrealfinest

1.) 30 May 2016 01:44:08
1. Completely agree
2. Umm Joe Thornton. John freaking Scott!
3. While I can see the bust factor in his game, I just don't see it happening. My list would probably be something like 1. Chychrun, 2. McLeod, 3. Juolevi.

2.) 30 May 2016 01:51:09
Dylan Strome will be a far better player than Ryan Strome and what about Luke and Brayden Schenn or Chetan Pickard and Calvin Pickard?

How many players are 6'6 with Browns vision, size and foot speed? he's a little bit of a perimeter player but has all the makings of a great top 6 playmaking center who could really excel in the cycle game.

I'm not biggest fans of McLeod either but he does have great wheels and tenacity to his game bUT is a little to light on the puck for me aND isn't cinsistent eno ugh offensivly either. I'm probably take him somewhere between 13 to 17.

Alex doesn't have near the foots peed that William does but he still has super hands, shot and vision to atleast become a big threat to a teams power play.

3.) 30 May 2016 02:02:56
"im pretty much right in those type of thing" God you are a gem.

By the way regarding Brown there are plenty of good big players in the NHl. Just to name a few, Hanzal, Barkov, Jagr, Nash, Lucic, Brian Boyle, Bjugstad. Most of these players listed however are strictly gritty power forwards whereas Brown has some really nice offensive ability.

Oddly enough i agree with you about the brother thing, usually when there is a superstar with a brother the brother is most of the time a bottom liner at best. The Benns and Subbans (Not Malcolm) come to mind. Jury is still out on D. Strome and A. Nylander though they could both become really good players.

4.) 30 May 2016 02:16:10
Lol what are you saying.

5.) 30 May 2016 02:25:15
IMO Luc Dubois will be a 2nd line center at most. I'm not sure if Chychrun will pan out. Same with Jost, Keller and Bellows there high risk high reward prospects. Could be stars or AHL players.

6.) 30 May 2016 03:10:25
Good thing Montreal will draft one of those 3 players if they stay at 9. Haha.

7.) 30 May 2016 04:00:21
I think you are right about McLeod. He will be a 2/ 3 centre. His speed and skating are unbelievable, he's a great passer and is relentless on the ice. At worst he will be a 3rd line centre and a great pk guy. His lack of decent shot or finish will hold him back though.

Brown I see more as a 2nd line centre. He has an amazing shot, is great on the boards and an excellent passer as well. Will be able to play both on the pp and pk.

Dubois definitely has a chance to be a top line guy.

I am not a Juolevi fan though and think that the world juniors inflated his value big time and it never came back down. He can skate beautifully, is a great passer, and can run a pp but he is 10 ply soft, doesn't have a great shot, a lacks a bite in his game that I want in my d men. He will most likely be a second pairing, pp specialist type d man.

8.) 30 May 2016 04:09:42
@VBB
Just wondering why you think PLD ceiling is a 2nd line C? Just curious, I think he has the tools and potential to be number 1 C. I also think in 10 years, Jost will be a top 5 player from this draft.

9.) 30 May 2016 04:34:57
Agreed BJ96.

10.) 30 May 2016 04:35:04
Isn't Pierre Luc Dubois a winger? I could be wrong but that's what I thought I saw and I'm pretty positive he's a LW.

11.) 30 May 2016 05:02:30
@McJesus
He may have played some LW. He's versatile enough to play all 3 F spots imo.

12.) 30 May 2016 05:43:01
Yeah BJ I just read something that said he's capable of playing all 3 forward positions (but comfortable at center) . That's very valuable in my opinion.

13.) 30 May 2016 07:35:18
Barkov is about 6 foot 3 i did mention 6, 6 side and taller

Chynchrun is to me with sergachev and juollevi the real deal.

14.) 30 May 2016 07:42:45
Charles maybe but he did not do nothing in the nhl yet!

Ps i spotted dergachev last year a big center that had a very good year and none of montreal paid scout went and pick him!

My Steel pick for this year are noah gregor d men and Jordan kyrou.

15.) 30 May 2016 12:43:15
Montreal just off the top of my head for guys who've dominated the game at 6'6 or taller I can think of Pronger Chara Hedman and Bishop. Mostly D-men but not an absurd notion. I don't see what height has to do with it except giving you longer reach.

16.) 30 May 2016 15:51:37
Yo CX, what's your brief report on Jost? You seem to be one of the most knowledgeable when it comes to prospects. Just wondering your opinion on him.

Not trying not to hype him up to potential franchise player, but I've heard he has similarities to both Crosby and Toews in his game. Obviously not expecting him to be that type of caliber but some pretty nice comparables.

17.) 30 May 2016 16:15:53
"nylander thé younger brother are always not has good has thé réal deal! Stall, bure strome"

What about the Reinharts? Sam > Griffin > Max. I just proved that you're not "pretty much right about these things" 2 X in one family.

18.) 30 May 2016 18:33:23
Henrik is better than Daniel though. So his statement is essentially bullet proof lol.

19.) 30 May 2016 19:33:14
Jb justinbieber. Lol i mention center not d Man.

20.) 30 May 2016 19:57:04
Jost is unbelievable. I've been able to watch him for the past two years when Penticton comes to play in my hometown. He would probably be higher ranked if he went to the W instead of the BC though.

21.) 30 May 2016 20:03:48
I do see Jonathan Towes in Jost but it's a hit or miss for him IMO Luc Dubious is good at everything and is a very versatile player but I just don't see anything Elite and I seen him play probably more then anyone here he dose everything but he's just not a game-changer.

22.) 30 May 2016 21:13:55
Mario Lemieux?

27 May 2016 00:13:52
Jim benning is like i needed a top four d Man lol

Van virtanen

Mon Beaulieu.

Montrealfinest

25 May 2016 22:14:18
Mon Torey Mitchell and a fourth round pick

Tampa Brian Boyle.

Montrealfinest

1.) 26 May 2016 00:59:58
Lol. Are you being serious, or just trolling around?

2.) 26 May 2016 01:09:24
No way from Tampa. B. Boyle has been great for Tampa and Mitchell is trash man. 4th Line C at best. Also 4th doesn't nearly make up the difference.

22 May 2016 21:38:44
To be honest Trading are First ovr pick for jvr is not such a bad idea! Its agood back up plan if there is no offer sheet for kucherov! He would fill thé whole left by Chuck after he left second lw to become First center! And after seing what Kessel can do without thé pressure of being thé best player of thé Team i think that jvr Would do the same in montreal!

Montrealfinest

1.) 22 May 2016 22:01:16
See, these are the type of posts I like reading from you. Add insight into everything, no one knows more than you.

2.) 22 May 2016 22:07:31
JVR isn't under pressure in Toronto, finally everyone understands that's it's going to take a few years to rebuild this team.

3.) 22 May 2016 22:22:22
Hopefully they trade the Pick I'd love that as a Leafs fan.

4.) 23 May 2016 18:43:14
We could maybe get alex nylander with that pick.

Montrealfinest

Banned.

2.) 05 Jun 2016 14:40:39
Connor Sheary
I agree with Chirp. That would be funny.

3.) 05 Jun 2016 20:57:51
Isn't the first guy the Irish UFC fighter I mean I'd rather have him Colton Orr but what's the point of the post kinda stupid.

04 Jun 2016 01:39:46
Is mike Babcock a fluke and overrated thx to the Toronto market! He is good no doubt but he did coach a good detroit teams over the years and countcanada team in it has well! If he was the best the leaf would have not finish last, last year!

Montrealfinest

1.) 04 Jun 2016 03:36:30
the leafs were an ahl team last year with a bunch of hole filler plugs. they lost jvr, they traded away their best/ most established dman in phaneuf and a minute eating solid stay at home guy in polak. they had shaky goaltending. i could go on and on, if you watched them every game (like i did) youd see the system they are playing is much improved, they're better positionally and improved in almost every advanced stat over the season before. they're posession numbers were up. coaching only goes as far as the talent on the ice. they were in more 1 goal games this year than last and were hard to play against every night.

goat.

2.) 04 Jun 2016 04:14:13
But if he was on your team you would be screaming that he's the best coach of hockey history ever. Damn you're entertaining.

3.) 04 Jun 2016 16:34:50
Ovie nailed it good job sir.

4.) 04 Jun 2016 20:27:55
Not sure of that yup.

5.) 05 Jun 2016 00:16:06
dont respond to me because i didn't just put you in your place you goat.

03 Jun 2016 09:13:28
Why is so much person on here are high on jost? If he was thAt good he would be top 5 at least I still think that Clayton Keller could be a good surprise.

Montrealfinest

1.) 03 Jun 2016 09:28:32
Some say Jost has moved into the top 10. Some had him ranked as high as 6 and some as low as 15. It'll be interesting, I think Jost won't disappoint and be one of the best players in his class.

2.) 03 Jun 2016 15:07:55
Get used to him Montreal will likely draft him.

31 May 2016 00:22:42
Looking back should the leaf kept kessel for the influence American to american for mattews? And mentoring Austin! Beside none of the player traded for kessel seem raw talent.

Montrealfinest

1.) 31 May 2016 01:26:55
No, because if we kept Kessel we almost guaranteed wouldn't have finished last and got Matthews it was all luck. Kessel is having success in the PO but wasn't to good in the regular season. All the best too him.

2.) 31 May 2016 01:42:53
Why the heck would it matter that there both American?! Didn't Kessel have a bad attitude?

3.) 31 May 2016 01:45:54
No leafs wanted to shake up the core. Kappenen will be good in due time needs to develop. Harrington gunna be a good bottom pairing guy. Spaling got a second round pick that could be a decent player to early to tell on the future of the trade. Leafs new Kessel would have good years in pitts it's the last year's of the contract they didn't want.

4.) 31 May 2016 01:47:36
Looking back, how the do they predict they were getting Mathews?
"NOT IMPORTANT TOO POST" Lol.

5.) 31 May 2016 02:41:43
Nah. Generally star Americans in Canadian markets don't work out to well.

6.) 31 May 2016 09:04:00
It's not Montreal where everyone has to be French Canadian. Your posts get more ridiculous by the hour. If you think that really matters, Mathews could play with JVR and they can talk about good 'ol American things.

7.) 31 May 2016 12:19:47
@Leafs17
I'm not saying they all don't. Just Kesler and Kessel are 2 that come to mind.

8.) 31 May 2016 23:39:02
@bj, I was referring to MF. Other than all the injuries, I thought Kesler had some really good years in Vancouver. I still don't like the guy for saying he hates Canada years ago, while playing for a Canadian team. Kessel didn't have much support in Toronto and still finished in the top 10 in scoring a couple times.

9.) 01 Jun 2016 04:05:05
@Leafs17
Ahh, my bad man. Cheers.

29 May 2016 22:43:41
So much for the marlies winning the calder cup! I bet nylander regret not going to the world championship!

Montrealfinest

1.) 30 May 2016 01:44:15
Marlies blew ****.

2.) 30 May 2016 01:57:40
Where's St. Johns? And I don't recall seeing Galchenyuk, Subban, Paciorety or any notable habs prospects for that matter and the world championship.

3.) 30 May 2016 02:59:34
You're an idiot. Lol.

4.) 30 May 2016 07:49:34
Chuck was injured thé other don't need that and patch is at the world cup!
How about mattews thatgot invited only because its in Toronto! By the way montreal had so much injury that st John was left with nothing or else WE would have made thé playoff!

Accept thé lost Charles don't Find excuse hershey was just bether.

5.) 30 May 2016 12:08:22
We're the Albany Devils a disappointment? they were the second overall team and they got knocked out by the marlies, the chocolate bears are a good team with talent and experience. the caps lost in the second round a bit disapointing yeah but they ran into a hot pitts team and the marlies made it to the conference finals but ran into a hot chocolate team. the year was still amazing 4th best ever, i'm happy with the development. so stop saying it was a huge disapointment.

6.) 30 May 2016 12:46:05
Man. When will you give up with this Matthews only making it because it's in Toronto? Is it possible? Of course. But he has merit to make the team.

On the world game he was trying to talk to mcdavid like he was some kind of big shot (laine) gue and a lot of trash talk I guess that one of the reason why perry did is move on him!
