VB, been thinking about Toronto adding Karlsson like you said. The only way I take him is if Reilly goes the other way.
Pens - Karlsson (no retention) and Rust
Leafs- Reilly, Cowan, Robertson, Peksa and Jarnkrok.
I read that Jarnkrok actual salary this year is about a million.

Yah I dont see Rielly waving. Maybe to Vancouver to be home or to a top team. But I dont seem him doing so for the Pens and tbh I dont think many teams are in the market for what he brings at the price he is at unfortunately. Can only hope a full year of him and Carlo pays off at this point.

I think the Leafs biggest need is a PP quarterback.

Dunn is not the answer there. Would sooner pursue Erik Karlsson with retention. To be honest Rielly and Cowan + for Erik Karlsson and Rust or Rakell make a ton of sense for both teams.

Disagree on Karlsson. 10 million for him for two more years is way to much. Dunn is much younger and makes a reasonable amount of money in comparison. Also like the thought of Tolvanen as a 3rd line guy. Solid defensively and can also put the Puck in the net.

Leafs don’t need a 3rd line guy tho. They have Domi, Roy and Maccelli who are not good enough for top 6 but to good for 4th line.

Disagree again. Maccelli will be given the opportunity on the first line. He is known as a good set up man, just what Matthews and Knies need. His 1st 2 seasons were pretty good on a bad team, and last year he battled injuries according to reports.

I don't get the Dobson trade for Montreal. He is a great offensive man, but average defensively. He is not bouncing Hutson from top PP duty so 9.5 million for a PP2 dman sounds like bad management too me.
Unless they play both on PP1. Only way it makes sense.

Hes no Jacob Slavin, but i don't think he gets enough credit for his defensive game. Hes got a good stick, decent at angling guys off. Hes not physical, not really a shot blocker, but I think hes at least an average defender, with above average offensive skills.
