I don't think its a terrible idea for the Oilers to trade their top 3 draft pick this year either. They should at least explore that option and see what kind of players they could get with that pick and perhaps combined with other prospects and roster players.

Hamonic's contract is a big bargain, he is signed to a great extension and with an extremely good cap hit and is a top D man. How can people possibly be over valuing this player JF12 I just don't get it. Hamonic is worth more than Brodin and is certainly worth more than RNH.

I have to admit I am pretty surprised Gauthier is doing a lot better than expected but in the eyes of Columbus I think they won't see Gauthier as a better fit for the team or have equal potential compare to Rychel. I still see Gauthier has a third line center man while Rychel is a potential top 6 power forward.

Justin Faulk is staying in Carolina end of story, he's the player that Carolina is building around, not to trade away and that package in no way will get Faulk at all, he's a number 1 d man. An undersized centerman who is extremely inconsistent with a tpo 4 d man won't get you a young bonafide top defense man. It's not going to happen.

a mid to low first round draft pick and a fringe prospect in Leivo is not going to get Drouin. If Yzerman trades him he is not going to be asking for picks or prospects, he's going to ask a player that is more established and has a potential similar to Drouin.
