the oilers need defencemen to play with nurse
jets need a tear down, because their core is old
oilers trade nuge, schultz, laurent brossoit (huge goaltending prospect) to winnipeg for myers and hellebuyck
myers is better than schultz, similar value to nuge. brossoit is just as good as hellebuyck. chiarelli would be an idiot not to accept this one.

the jets core is old? aside from byfuglien and wheeler (neither of whom are all that old) consists of trouba, myers, scheifele, ehlers, and possibly morrisey. none of whom are over 26. i didn't include ladd because he'll likely be gone in a few weeks.

LOL hellebyuck has been the best rookie goalie this year and is what 20? the kid has ridiculous potential, he's taken over their starting role. and broissiot has starter potential, definitely not elite though, he had a big game up with the oilers for sure but he isn't on the same level as hellebyuck.

You literally said Myers > Schultz and Hellebyuck = Brossoit. Doesn't make sense for the Jets.

Lets face it, they aren't swapping goalie prospects. But since the signing of big Bug, I wonder if Trouba is available at all. The Oilers NEED that RIGHT HANDED D man bad, Troubam Hamonic, Vatanen, Shattenkirk, ANd i guess if they decide to sign Trouba maybe yers then comes available, but in a deal centered around Nuge i would go after one of those others before Myers. Trouba, or Shat, or Hamonic+.
