I guess you're doing this under the guise that the Leafs need to clear cap space? Even so, I think it's a bit light coming back to Toronto.

I would say Nylander for the 1st and JP would be closer only if the Leafs are in a panic to clear cap. But I think the Leafs would be better off trying to get a D for Nylander.

Who would the Oilers dump to fit Nylander?

Memarcus. Russell would be a good fit, was top 10 in blocked shots. Takes the pressure off the goalie every game

If Toronto trade Nylander they can resign gardiner or go after myers with that cap


Oilers have 9M now, 11m if they trade benning

If they can't move Russel for a pick to Arizona or Ottawa they got 15m.

Replace Connors brown with Kappanen and replace Benning with Larsson. This doesn’t make the leafs a better team as of today.
