I read these on the most recent Score post about a Karlsson trade.

DAL: Heiskanen, Faksa, Oettinger, '18 1st
OTT: Karlsson

EDM: Klefbom, '18 1st, (Maybe) RNH
OTT: Karlsson

PHI: Patrick, Hagg, 2 '18 1st's
OTT: Karlsson

Out of all of them, i think i prefer the EDM one, since Klefbom is a guarantee's top 4 D. Also, If the draft were today, those picks would be #3(sens) and #4(oil). That would be great to have 2 top 4 picks. And having RNH would make Brassard expendable which we could probably get like a late first for.

Let me know what you guys think. Very curious to see what DAL, EDM and PHI fans think.

From an Oilers fan perspective, it’s fine. Maybe the 1st being top 10 protected or something. But honestly Chiarelli is the kinda dude that would give Karlsson an 8 year 12.5 mill contract right when he hits 29, and that’s an L. Is it just me or is there something different about him? He playing with an injury? Bad team? He’s just not near his normal 75 point self, skating seems a bit off. There’s just risk that he needs to overcome before a big deal, hearing people already thinking his best years are behind him and this is a “Forsberg type ordeal”.

I agree with Flying V about he the fact Karlsson seems a bit off. he has had 2 that I know of significant ankle injuries, I wonder if that is catching up to him. I'd be weary aboit wanting to sign him to big money long term. no doubt he has been the best offensive D man in the game for quite awhile now, and he's going to get his big payday, as he probably should. as a Habs fan, I'm starting to not like this long term big money contracts at the end of your careers. Lol. I'd like to see long terms till 35. then 2 year max deals. players would hate it forsure.
As for the trade, well I don't agree with Flying V bout pick protected. if your going to get Karlsson. your going to pay.
The Philly one. take out 1 of the picks but add Ghost.

No one is trading a guy like Karlsson without at least the chance of a top pick coming back. If anyone’s pick is protected in these talks, the phone call is over.

Klef Nuge and a first for Karlsson I’ll take that anyday. Oilers have too many LHD as it is and we’re still getting way better with Karlsson and only adding a bit of cap is you combine Nuge and Klef, if Karlsson were to get mcdavids cap hit.

Great posts hoff! Keep em coming! As for nobiasrambo, he couldn't be any greater of a homer over the last couple days with his sens proposals. if the sens do decide to trade karlsson, nobiasrambo will be extremely disappointed.
