Three reasons no"

1) nylander has not proven to be much of anything compared to his brother.

2) Kane is a cancer in the locker room doesn't produce like he should and a head case. Not what Toronto needs. Babcock will not put up with his pooh at all.

3) marner has scored 19 goals and 42assist 61 points as a rookie why trade him. you dont.

Why would the leafs trade marner I mean yeah I'd make that deal but I'd hate to trade marner. He's going to be special and is untouchable but you'd think if the leafs were offered this they'd take it.

No Tyson, untouchable means the team is unwilling to part with the player. No team would pay the price to move Marner because of how much Toronto value she him hence being untouchable. Gaudreau is one of the FLames untouchables and he is not even close to the level of McDavid or Crosby.

Not saying the other teams would do it but would you trade Marner straight up for someone like Hanifin, H. Lindholm, D. Hamilton type dman? Someone young, under the age of 24 or so who already is in the NHL.

Hotguybabes no I wouldn't I'd trade Nylander for Lindholm but not Hamilton. We could've drafted Hanfin who is better then both but we didn't for a reason. I'd rather trade Rielly+. The thing is after a season like marner had why would you trade him? A 19 year old already elite player who IMO could very well be a franchise player like Kane. I'd go as far as saying I'd rather trade Mathews then Marner and build the team around him. ( mostly because Mathews has a higher trade value ) so the, only way if I were to trade Marner would be for someone like Petrangelo, Doughty, Karlsson or Dahlin. Because you don't trade young players who haven't reached there full potential because for all we know next season he could drastically improve and make the leafs look like idiots.

Honestly a trade imo that I believe is fair would be

Edm:Drais and 1st 2018

Tor: Marner

Leafs get an 1st line center who is IMO a tier below marner taking in Age and team in consideration ( Edm surrounded Drais with better players ) so this is what it'd take. leaf fans rate marner at the same level as drais and leafs players are vastly underrated on this site. Would you trade Drais for Hamilton? No exactly.

I know Edmonton wouldn't do Marner for Drais and 1st but that's what they'd ask for and IMO Marner=Drais i look at Drais at the Kopitar level with more of an offensive flair and I'd look at Marner at the Kane level for his age.
