Devils:

- Michael Dal-Colle

- 2018 6th round

Islanders:

- Rights to Ilya Kovalchuk

- John Quenneville

TysonBarrie2

1.) 11 May 2017 12:57:55
Big no from NJ.

Dal Colle >= Quenneville
Kovalchuk Rights >>>>>>> 6th.

2.) 11 May 2017 15:09:36
Can't trade for kovys rights. Nj has to sign him before a trade to lift the voluntary retirement.

3.) 11 May 2017 17:48:01
That's what I was referring to, either way Kovy is worth way more than a 6th.

Detroit:

- 2017 3rd overall pick

Dallas:

- Peter Mrazek

- 2017 9th overall pick

==================

Dallas gets their future in goal.
Detroit selects a defender to replace their crap defence.

TysonBarrie2

1.) 09 May 2017 10:25:25
No from Wings imo. I don't know why they would give up Mrazek to move up 6 spots.

2.) 09 May 2017 15:30:41
Ya this is terrible in a week draft maybe a draft where 4th overall you get reinhart there's no player in this draft that will be as good as the top 6 last year.

3.) 09 May 2017 15:50:09
Then who would Detroit have? And don't say Howard.

4.) 09 May 2017 16:20:49
In this case Mrazek plus moving up 6 spots is excessive. I would consider something around Mrazek + but not 9th overall as well. Considering this draft is likely a shot in the barrel to find a good player.

@McJesusChrist

Trading Mrazek isn't ideal and Detroit realistically wouldn't move him. However, since he is a valuable piece who may too old when the rebuild is over then trading him at max value might be worth considering. Detroit still has goalies as stop gaps in Howard and Coreau. Both can hold the fort for a couple years until we develop our currently drafted goalies or get a nice one in this or next year's draft. So trading Mrazek to help the rebuild is something to talk about, highly unlikely it happens because Holland is GM but still something to consider.

Fun rumour ''facts''. Take these with a grain of salt.

The Vancouver Canucks were set to acquire Wayne Gretzky from Edmonton for 5 1st round picks and $2 million dollars but the Canucks organization pissed Wayne Gretzky and the Oilers GM.

The New York Islanders offered ALL of their picks in the 2012 draft for the 2nd overall pick in 2012 owned by the Islanders but they rejected it and took Ryan Murray.

The Flyers offered a 2015 1st rounder, Samuel Morin and a ''significant'' roster player not named ''Claud Giroux'' for PK Subban when he was in an ugly contract arbitration but the Canadiens opted to spend big on Subban.

None of these are mine. I was scrolling through twitter and found these.

"The New York Islanders offered ALL of their picks in the 2012 draft for the 2nd overall pick in 2012 owned by the Islanders but they rejected it and took Ryan Murray. "

uhhh don't you mean owned by the columbus blue jackets.

2.) 08 May 2017 05:04:05
I also heard Gretzky was going to sign with Canucks after the STL experiment , and that a deal was in place but whoever wanted the deal signed immediately and apparently woke Gretzky up bothering him about it. so he got pissed and signed the NYR deal. dunno if its true or not.

3.) 08 May 2017 05:05:02
Saw that ig post. I think the Islanders one is fake, the Islanders had 4th Overall that year, I doubt they were so high on Murray that they were willing to give 6 other picks (all High in their respective rounds) just to pick him.

4.) 08 May 2017 15:30:52
FlyingV no it was the legit offer at the time, i remember hearing about that deal on draft day, i was like i'm not sure what's more stupid the offer or the rejection.

Dallas Stars:

- Chris Tanev

Vancouver Canucks:

- Denis Gurianov

Dallas stars need defence.
Vancouver is rebuilding and could use a big winger to replace the Sedin.

TysonBarrie2

1.) 04 May 2017 21:23:38
Hard No from the Canucks.

2.) 04 May 2017 23:11:08
Considering Iv never even heard of the dallas guy that's a pretty easy no for Vancouver.

3.) 04 May 2017 23:54:32
He was drafted 12th overall in 2015 how don't you know him?

4.) 05 May 2017 00:33:50
Obvious no from the Canucks. It would have to be Guryanov ++ for Dallas to land Tanev. Especially since the Canucks know how desperate Dallas is for Defence.

5.) 05 May 2017 01:37:11
Gurianov was drafted 12th overall by Dallas in 2015. He was the fastest rising prospect in his class. Hasn't really adjusted to North American game tho, not a great first season in the AHL. No thanks from Van.

6.) 05 May 2017 05:54:52
Probably because he hasn't played in the NHL lol ya so good and worth Tanev. Idiot.

7.) 05 May 2017 14:42:48
Did I say he was worth Tanev?

04 May 2017 05:00:33
Washington Capitals:

- Rights to Valeri Nichushkin

Dallas Stars:

- Philipp Grubauer

- Dmitry Orlov

==============

Fair?
Dallas needs a goalie and defence.
Nichushkin's career could start again with Kuz and Ovi in Washington.

TysonBarrie2

1.) 04 May 2017 05:19:23
Caps need more. All they get is the rights to a guy who may not come back? I could see them giving their back up who might start somewhere else (Grubrauer) but not adding in a decent D man too. 2 good pieces guaranteed to play for stars for a lottery ticket isn't a smart move.

2.) 04 May 2017 06:12:00
No go from caps. Solid back up and a top 4 d? No thanks.

3.) 04 May 2017 15:31:12
Wouldn't even trade Orlov for Nichushkin, Orlov has really come along the past couple of years.

Oh man.
Just realized Cody Hodgson (10th overall in 2010 draft) retired.
Anybody know why?
He was doing average just had 2 bad seasons. Not worth giving up your dream for 2 bad seasons.

TysonBarrie2

1.) 17 May 2017 00:22:45
Injuries, lost interest and him and his brother started selling a clothing line called, CoHo. No I'm not even kidding. One of my buddies is like best friends with Hodgson's Brother.

13 May 2017 19:37:38
Who do you guys have Edmonton picking 22nd overall?

I'm pretty much down to the two players:

Conor Timmins (D) [OHL]
Right hand shot
6'1 180lbs

Stats:
67GP
7G
54A
61P
69 PIM

Nicolas Hague (D) [OHL]
Left hand shot
6'6 216lbs

Stats:
65GP
18G
28A
46P
107 PIM

TysonBarrie2

1.) 13 May 2017 22:25:13
I don't see Hague in there, but I mean it's not out of the realm of possibilities, just like with Paigin, Niemelainen etc. I think we have that big LD filled, surprised you don't have Cal Foote there as he may drop also. But serious question, you don't think the Oilers at all may not be looking for a scoring winger?

Like that's arguably the most need, some options may be C/ W K. Lind (love how he plays), C/ W K. Yamamoto (Gaudreau-esque), W K. Vesalainen, Klim Kostin (may drop due to injury/ Russian factor) . Unrelated one prospect I love to watch is Robert Thomas from London, hands like a dream and reminds me a lot of Patrice Bergeron now and from his draft year.

2.) 14 May 2017 00:36:41
@FlyvingV

No, I don't.

Jesse P is our scoring winger.

Russel and Sekera will start declining as soon as in two seasons .
Who do we have that is a really good prospect on defence? Reinhart? That's not enough.

Hague is a huge guy and can lay the body. I believe we need that fear factor on defence.

There were two other guys that I thought the Oilers could pick, but the chance isn't high.

3. Maxime Comtois (if available)

and

4. Lukas Elvenes (projected to go early second/ late first) could be a good replacement for Jordan Eberle down the line. Elvenes is a powerplay genius and can basically work the whole powerplay by himself.

3.) 14 May 2017 01:42:25
I heard that Eeli Tolvanen could drop because of his size/ one dimensional play or Timothy Liljegren who I've seen drop to 24th in some mocks, I say the Oil snags one if they ever fall to 22. I see the Oilers interested in Eemeli Rasanen, 6'7" RD, or Stuart Skinner the local boy with their 2 3rd rounders.

4.) 14 May 2017 06:13:17
Eemeli Rasanen is rated as the 98 best player in the draft. Don't see him jumping to 22nd.

5.) 14 May 2017 07:03:16
No as I said, in the 3rd round.

6.) 14 May 2017 07:08:50
Honestly was impressed with Joni ikonen and Vesalainen, although Ikonen may have some problems with being 1 dimensional, and well, small, I can see him a tier under Tolvanen, being that fast sniper with a shot, would be happy if we could snag him with a 3rd, also Vesalainen was very dominate although there was word that he is inconsistent, he's a nice blend of speed, skill and height, basically a Left handed Puljujarvi.

11 May 2017 05:42:14
Seriously.
Refs costed the Oilers the conference finals.

2 games where the oilers should have won.

Crazy.

TysonBarrie2

1.) 11 May 2017 06:05:47
Deffinetly a case could be made for that IMO. League is going to have to fix the goalie interference issue. and i'm not saying go back to the old way when a toe couldn't be in the blue paint.
Ducks are a good team however, and as far as fair or not. unfortunately they were the better team in game 7.

2.) 11 May 2017 11:20:09
Come on buddy. Just give it up. We get that your team lost two games where they should've/ could've/ would've won, but the past is the past.

Just be happy that your team made it to the second round after years of disappointment, and be a good sport for the team that beat you guys. Don't complain about tye refs for kingdom come.

3.) 11 May 2017 14:31:50
I don't understand how Ducks can win a 7 game series 2-5 🙈🙈🙈🙊🙊🙊😂😂💩💩🤔😜. Lol.

4.) 11 May 2017 15:12:16
They had a good run, got outplayed tonight. It's hockey, let it go. Kinda tough to complain about a team that went from being a punchline to duking it out in a Game 7 matchup in the division finals. They kicked ass this year, kicked ass these playoffs, and simply got outdone in the deciding game. I'm bummed they lost but, cmon, what a great season. They'll be back next year with a vengeance.

08 May 2017 03:48:11
I'm praying to god LV doesn't select either Mark Letestu or Zack Kassian. I'd pay Las Vegas off.

Really important to Edmonton.

Letestu plays on the first PP and Zack Kassian as the enforcer.

TysonBarrie2

1.) 08 May 2017 04:46:45
Lucic, Draisaitl, RNH, Eberle, Maroon, Letestu, Kassian. Am I missing anyone? If not then they'll be protected.

2.) 08 May 2017 13:45:29
I'd even just unprotected Eberle at this point. It would be a huge slap in the face. And I don't think they will do that to him out of respect, but I think he gets traded for anything before the draft. It won't be much, Cap relief being the main thing for trading him. Wonder who would even want him lol.

3.) 08 May 2017 20:15:39
Trade him to mtl for Plekanec and mtl will send you a second rounder and a conditinal first rounder for next year if he gets 50 points. HOW does that sound bud?

4.) 09 May 2017 01:28:33
Nah. I would rather just picks if anything. If he gets traded this off season I don't expect much in return just main reason to trade would be the nice cap relief for Drai bigger contract.
Even tho Fayne, Ference are off the books this off season and Pouliot next season. No way if I trade Eberle I'm taking back Plekanec and his contract . Lol.

04 May 2017 05:14:15
Would you trade down if you were Colorado?

Colorado is not a bad team on paper. They just collapsed this year.

Say they trade down to like 7th or 8th and select Makar or Lilgeren for their defence.

TysonBarrie2

1.) 04 May 2017 06:59:50
Or they could draft Hieskanen 4th overall if Dallas doesn't take him.

2.) 04 May 2017 07:27:33
@HotGuyBabes

Thing is, Dallas will almost 100% take him unless he tears his ACL. Dallas needs defence.

3.) 05 May 2017 03:20:15
Barrie yp7 don't know that Dallas will 100 percent take him. Lilijegree Makar ect could be good defense options at that spot to Lilijegreen especially, could make it in the top 3.

Tanev is a good defenceman @lindss . He will get much better than a 2nd in a weak draft.

Don't think Andersson is even worth the 22nd overall pick, yet Edmonton's best defensive prospect.

Islanders lose Travis Hamonic (arguably their top D with a great contract) for a goalie who is just having a good playoffs?

. not mentioning he is 32.

@TSS

Explain to be how ''Hagelin is a 40 point speedster''

he never scored 40 points in his career.
and had 22 points in 61 games this season.

Why would Edmonton want to add an aging d-man that's already declining?

And a late first in one of the weakest drafts in the past 7+ years.

And the big question, why would Pittsburgh want ANOTHER center?
