So blues are up 3-0
EDM is up 2-1
NSH is up 3-0
ANH is up 3-0

I really didn't expect the West to play our this way.

East
MTL 2-1
OTT 2-1
TOR 2-1
Pits 3-1

I hope toronto finishes off Wash. earlier 1st round pick for blues. Besides that its been a very exciting and interesting Playoffs no dull moments.

Edmonton has been the most impressive team IMO even tho the other teams have bigger leads they are all blowing it.

2.) 18 Apr 2017 21:45:39
The blues have stifled the #2 5on5 offence (per goals scored) in the nhl and have held them to 1 5v5 goal. that's pretty impressive. Also more impressive is the fact that Nashville shutout Chicago in two games. The sharks are playing with out jumbo joe healthy, couteir has broken Jaw and the team is old. i'm not taking away from edm at all but Nashville way more impressive.

3.) 18 Apr 2017 22:57:10
I haven't seen any of the Nashville/ Hawks. but just the fact they are up 3 nothing on the Powerhouse Hawks, is most impressive to me. Most disappointing. has to be Flames. they are beating themselves.
Leafs and Oilers have been impressive as well.

4.) 18 Apr 2017 23:21:59
Blues, Predators, Oilers and Leafs have really surprised me. I don't know why the Blues surprise me because they've been a solid team for years. I guess I thought that maybe the Wild was a better team this time around. I'm not counting the Hawks out yet but it's nice to see different teams having success. I've been a Sharks fan for years and I'd like to see Thornton win a cup, but the Oilers look like the better team so far. The leafs I thought might steal a game but I did not expect a series lead after game 3. It helps being the underdog with little expectations playing a team with the weight of the world on their shoulders.

5.) 18 Apr 2017 23:23:17
Nashville D has been good.
What's going on with Chicago?!
I expected this from Anahiem with how they were playing coming into the playoffs.
Is Nashville for real?
I think Anaheim is the best looking in the west and I had them in the finals just before the playoffs started, I didn't have them in the finals 3/ 4 weeks ago tho.

6.) 18 Apr 2017 23:24:48
It has been so hard to watch the flames. Not getting any bounces and (call me whatever you like) calls are just not going their way. They easily could be up in the series but nothing has been going their way. I mean of course Calgary could have played better and Elliot is letting in soft goals. It has just been so disappointing.

Where does Ben Bishop Go Next season. Put your top 5 choices in Order of likelihood

Dallas
Calgary
Philly
St. Louis
Las Vegas 😂 (Couldn't think of a 5th)

2.) 31 Mar 2017 23:30:45
I was thinking Calgary before Elliot turned it around. Now I think they will resign him to an extension and not go after Bish.
Dallas would be smart to sign him, but already have so so much money to their two current guys, they would have to pull some magic.
I think Winnipeg would be smart to try and get him, I think they become a playoff team with a goalie like Bish. Philly could be a good fit as well.

3.) 01 Apr 2017 00:02:17
I dunno in regards to salary cap and al that . But these are the 5 teams I think should consider it.

1. Dallas. obvious reasons
2. NYI. jus don't think Greiss is the guy
3. Carolina. Wards had a good run, but it's been over for a while
4. Philly. is Hextall there last legitimate # 1?
5. Winnipeg. Hellybuck just isn't ready. maybe mentor under Bishop for a couple years might be what's needed.

4.) 01 Apr 2017 01:04:52
Dallas (if they don't get him, what do they do? )
Philly (Mason/ Neuvirth both have been iffy, Mason could be let go, Bish could come in)
Arizona
NY Islanders
Idk, St Louis?

At this point from what I read on hockeys future is that neither team is willing to trade those two. Larson has seemed to make oilers fans happy and blues fans rather draft for a center than give up their guy.

I think Reilly just needs a solid physical dman playing with him. Like a darnell nurse and it would be a top 10 pairing in the league. He can't do it on his own.

two things

1) doughty lost a step this year. Could be bad season. Just didn't look like the doughty of old.

2) that doesn't get you doughty. Start with Marner and Zaitsev.

Three reasons no"

1) nylander has not proven to be much of anything compared to his brother.

2) Kane is a cancer in the locker room doesn't produce like he should and a head case. Not what Toronto needs. Babcock will not put up with his pooh at all.

3) marner has scored 19 goals and 42assist 61 points as a rookie why trade him. you dont.

their is a difference between the hawks and the blues.

Blues have way better defence than hawks just got done stifling the 2nd best offence in the league.

Blues Goalie Jake Allen is on Fire. Crawford not so much.

Blues are checking and driving to the net scoring goals. Hawks got shut out twice.

Will be good series, Don't count the blues out.

Blues in 6.

the Hawks dynasty ended last year when the blues held patrick kane and toews virtually pointless for a 7 game series. Their defence is aging and bad. Keith getting older slower, Seabrook has maybe 2 years left and the rest of the D is not good.

sosa you can't expect a goalie to perform with out good defence around him look at the dubnyk in edm as an example. He was horrible behind a horrible system and defence. Now that he is with MIN he is a top 5-10 goalie in the league. if you look at all the great goalies in the league now they all have something in common above average to great defence. Quick, Allen, Price, Bishop pre trade, vsilesky, murray, fleury,

dont get me wrong goalie has to be good. But no goalie thrives with out a good defenece.

it's because he does something that brett hull did all the time to score goals. He watches the play develop he knows where he needs to be and if you watch he anticipates the play backs up or breaks out to get open just before he gets a cross ice path and he either puts the puck just inside the near post high or just in side the far post high.

He doesn't allow the goalie time to react to his shot and if he sees the goalie cheeating to the near side he hits far post. If you watch him play you will see a pattern. But it all comes back to the set up man on his line. Brett Hull had oates Ovechkin has Backstrom and in lesser passing role oshie. They are a deadly line.
