IMO the Calgary Flames should still be interested in Ben Bishop so here is my proposal:

CAL: Bishop

TBL: Tkachuk, Wideman

Salary is almost the same. So why would the Lightning want Dennis Wideman?

He is an offensive RHD, who is effective on the PP too and that's what the Bolts need. I know Wideman is not the long term solution but he can still put up points on a good team this year. And after this season when Drouin, Johnson, Palat. need to get resigned Widemans contract is over.

No from both teams I'd say, Elliot is really starting to play well now and Tkatchuk is a huge piece for that time going forward. And the Bolts can do better than Wideman, right now.

Tkachuk is a high asking price. Especially considering brian elliot has started playing well. I say no dice from CGY.

Ya i think Tkachuck is too much. If Bishop is dealt i feel its for a backup goalie and solid RHD.

The Flames decided against Bishop when they almost traded for him at the draft, largely due to his asking price for a future contract. Whispers then was that it was going to be the pick they used to select Tkachuk. Can't see this happening. They will ride out the Elliot / Chad Johnson decision this year. I am Oilers fan, and I think the moves that Calgary made between the pipes in the offseason were excellent. It just hash't panned out yet - but it will.

Ya. I kind of thought they should re visit the Bishop deal. But like some of you guys are saying., Elliot is getting better. its a long season. and the first month of tje season can really be a tease of what's to come. as it standsnow my team should battle the Oilers for the cup.
So. ya. be patient, don't want to press the panic button yet and give away a top prospect.
