As good as Kucherov is, he can get replaced by Drouin this year.

And Price is arguably the best goalie in the entire league.

Barrie Price may be the best but Bishop is top 5-10 and they have Vasy who is a more than serviable replacement and could lead the next generation of goalies. Drouin could possibly replace Kuch (no guarentee) but i'd rather have both and young goalie with Price potential than Price and a burden in Emelin.

As great as Vasi is, he is no guarantee like Carey Price.

Price has hit his ceiling and Vasi will never become Price.

Kucherov is incredibly underrated. If I look at this trade I'd say no from Tampa.

For a few reasons.

1. They'd lose Vasilevsky in the expansion draft
2. Pittsburgh and San Jose proved this year you don't need an elite goalie to make it to a cup final, it's about he team in front of the goalie. So they'll keep Vasilevsky who is much cheaper and keep the core intact.
3. Kucherov is an elite scoring forward
4. Emelin is dead cap space when they need as much cap space as they can get.
