Chicago has apparently.

Chicago has apparently already turned down a couple offers with a 1st round and top prospect. Rebuild doesn't mean getting a late 2nd and a player that's a shadow of his former self and makes too much money. They have made it clear Hagel is a big part of their rebuild.

To add to what Shoots said, its hard to imagine a team taking on almost 5M more x 2 seasons without compensation. Its pretty generous from CHI.

Why would Seattle not take a pick for Jarnkrok, but take a worse more expensive UFA?

Monahan only has 1 more year on his contract, not 2. I do agree Chicago wouldn't do the trade without Calgary adding more.

The Blackhawks and Kraken make sense. The Coyotes thing is just that, not a thing!!!

The Coyotes deal is the most realistic. CHI will want more for Hagel and likely don't want Monahan, while CGY should be more interested in Dylan Strome, Riley Stillman or Erik Gustafsson IMO

Ebs is right, Seattle doesn't likely want a UFA for Jarnkrok, unless they want and get Zadorov on a Sign and Trade deal, but CGY should keep Zadorov for the playoffs unless they land another Big &/ or Better D-Man to replace him first. Jarnkrok is likely worth a 3rd or 4th (FLA just dumped Frank Vatrano for a 4th), so send next years 3rd or 4th or better yet Monahan. Otherwise you're looking at Dube or a 2022-2nd for Jarnkrok 50% retained. Could package both Jarnkrok (50% retained) and either Giordano or Soucy for Monahan + Zadorov + Dube/ 2nd.
