It looks like OEL's time in Arizona is done and I think he is the LHD the habs need.

Arizona- Oliver Ekman Larsson

Montreal- Johnathan Drouin , Victor Mete, Cayden Primeau, Karl Alzner and 1st 2020

Arizona- Brings in a player with a ton of talent in Drouin, A solid bottom Pairing dman in Mete, a young goalie with a ton of potential and a 1st.

Montreal- gets out of Alzners contract while bringing in a top pairing LHD.

It is steep but I'm not against this. OEL would be good and make our top 4 D pretty good. Primeau would be a loss for sure as well as Drouin but I think there is some young talent coming up to replace Drouin.
Would Arizona take it? Not sure, i thought Darcy played very well this year. Drouin would be nice and Mete would help out in the back and could become better over time. A first in a deep draft is always good. I think Arizona might be hesitant. But I am biased toward MTL.

Trading too many young pieces for a shot with price in my opinion. Price is fantastic, let him decide to stay or move, but don't risk what's probably 4 long term pieces to get oel.

Wait for Romanov or Norlinder to take over sign them to an 8 year extension. Boom done for free!

Way too much from MTL, and Arizona is NOT taking on any dead salary like Alzner's. They don't have the cap space and are back to pinching pennie$.
