To Det
Kyle Connor

To Winn
Green(2m retained)
Svechnikov
Zadina

Connar is a michigan guy loves detroit and has played with and against larkin his whole life. Even got convinced by larkin to go to university of michigan during that part of his life. Why not sign 8yrs@8million for the team you love.

Green odviously isn't the answer but he is something and at 3.5 isn't that bad now. Svech is basically a bust but he hasn't got a chance to play with talent like the jets have ever so he might turn it around. Zadina is a good prospect and since he isn't a yzerman draft pick he isn't that hard for him to let go..

On a side note i think big buff won a big lottery. I mean who leaves 14 million on the table? Someone who wins 35 million in a lottery...just sayin..

So, from your description above you're offering a crappy defenseman, a bust and an okay wing prospect that the Jets have no need of for a proven 30 goal scorer. Hmmm, I think I'll have to say no.

Cue all the biased posters saying that Jets fans are homers. But then again most of the the goofs on this site think a 20 year old player with 2 NHL points is worth more than a guy that had 100 goals by the time he turned 20. Lmfao.

Well, enjoy having no true RHD and if Connor doesn't sign in 2 weeks enjoy having a very depleted lineup. Guess you could always ask for Mantha instead of the prospects but unfortunetly unless Buff doesn't retire and if Laine gets around 10 million kinda limits what you can get back cap wise. 6 million would be your limit so getting a RHD for 3.5 million (the 2 million retained is a huge aspect of the trade) allows the Jets to get another RHD. possibly a Girardi.

This is an alternative. maybe not your choice but starting the season without Connor and a reliable RHD really sounds more crappy to me. have it your way. Enjoy st. louis, nashville, colorado, dallas, vegas even chicago without a RHD. say bye bye to top 3 and the wildcard is always a crap shoot. so enjoy

ps. don't be calling people goofs. its rude and in most jails gets you hurt bad.

Connor is 22 and has 67 goals but guess you're not good with real stats are you memarcusjoe?

I wasnt trading Laine.

67 goals by age 22 is hardly 100 goals by age 20.

The 100 goals is in reference to a different trade offer.

You can try and justify it all you want, but it is a garbage offer, I know it, you know it and everyone here knows it.

So why bring up that referance during this discussion. kinda weird.

I actually don’t think it’s terrible if Svechnikov was replaced with something of relevance. Zandina is not just an okay prospect. With that being said Detroit is missing a key piece.

Rasmussen or tyler bertuzzi could be players thrown in this deal.Maybe a Veleno to sweetin the deal. If Detroit takes on 1/2 of Greens salary then maybe Mantha but then detroit would be hesitating...

winnepeg can't take on much more than 5 million total salary in any deal or else signing Laine becomes very difficult until Buff officially retires.

just sayin

Zero interest in trading Connor. He has said publicly he intends on signing long term with Winnipeg. So, offering a pile of garbage that the Jets don't need, won't get you close to Connor.

While the value in this trade may not be far off given the current circumstances in Winnipeg.

As a Wings fan, I would love Connor. I also know that we need to be patient. There is a good chance we could bring him home when he’s a UFA and I rather wait for that then pay this price.

We are in a rebuild, so keeping guys like Zadina, Veleno, Svechnikov, Rasmussen are all key to the future.

Bertuzzi, Mantha, AA and Larkin are the current core that we are trying to build around offensively.

If Jets want Green, I don’t mind trading him for picks/ prospects.

So Craigger, you targeted a player we would love to have. Just not in a position to feel comfortable pulling the trigger yet. Plus we have lots of wingers, So C and D are the key positional needs.

I’m regards to Svechnikov, he is not a bust yet. Many players that are busts involve high draft picks and don’t perform despite getting NHL ice time.

Svechnikov had season ending ACL surgery. That’s obviously going to limit his opportunity especially when he likely would have made the Red Wings last year.

He still has upside, I’m not saying I can get a Laine or Connor for him. Just would like to point out that he still has value, maybe not as much to other teams but Detroit is happy to see if he turns the bad luck injury into success.

What are you hoping for in return mcmarcus? Like I don’t see someone offering a replacement 30 Goal scorer or a Top pairing RH Dman for Connor.

Craigger’s whole premise is the circumstances the Jets are in may lower their return and value.

Circumstances include:
• Losing Buff possibly
• Limited Cap Space
• Signing Connor and Laine
•Overall Risk of losing Major pieces of offence and defence.
