Each team would have to add something else, probably an established defensemen and a mid round pick to get Laine, but they are all good bases.

Think the only one where the jets say no is the blue jackets. Flyers don't have the cap, and frost is going to be a stud. Avs aren't going to help a division rival especially at that price and considering they still have rantanen to deal with who is also with Liut as an agent. The ducks need to hang on to mahura as their D is looking very thin, and Jones will be a solid middle six for them as early as this year.

All points made so far except mcmarcus’s make sense.

These were just meant to be similar to
Zadina + Cholowski. Now I definitely agree that there may need to be adds from the teams listed comparatively.

My goal was to offer young players on ELCs that are close to NHL ready. So Jets save cap and get possible future players to join the core and stay competitive.

Which other teams can afford Laine’s ask in terms of money and why Jets requires in return? Assuming it’s mcmarcus level crazy.

All these Jets guys can do is cry that all these posts and offers are terrible but they can’t even say who they would want or expect back in a trade themselves.
I’m trying to give them a legit chance at it on the talk page here but they are too stunned it seems. We’ll see.

These proposals are absolutely awful from a Jets POV a potential/ likely 50+ goal guy doesn’t get an impact player in any of these proposals heck

Leafs- Nylander, Ceci (dump), Lilijgren, 1st 2020 and 1st 2021

For Laine

I don’t even think jets would take that but he’d probably set the goal scoring record on a line with Tavares and Marner.

Yes vbbb, we all know that. As the players listed above would be add ons to a major piece and laughed at on their own. But yet somehow it is the Jet fans that are delusional and biased. Lmfao

At least your offer, while I wouldn't take it, is at least attempting to match value for value.
