Nylander trade increased Puljujarvi’s return significantly. Personally, value wise I can see him getting a late first now. Not everyday a 6’4, sniper, consensus third overall pick from just 3 years ago gets available. His potential is huge.

Oiler fans need to realize that their not getting a first round pick or a solid prospect for Puljujarvi. Either you use him to trade a bad contract, or you get a 2nd round pick at most. Or you could let him got to Europe, have his value drop, and potentially lose him for nothing.

how can you say Pulju is better than Nylander?
just looking at stats alone, tells a different story.
regardless, oiler will make Pulju play in europe before trading him. thier hope will be that he lights it up in europe, raising or confirming what thier current asking price is. If he fails, then oilers will probably flip him in 2-3 years.

If no high first or young potential top 6 is offered Holland will simply let him play in europe until he caves and comes back to edm on elc +10%, or until something decent is offered in return.
