-Rumor of Leafs really pursuing OEL. Marner + is the rumored suggested asking price from Chyka.

-Suggested Turris is a great fit in Vancouver and they have interest. He is from somewhere near Vancouver and would be a good mentor fit.

-Averys new book tells a story of a bunch of players high on ecstasy on a plane on the way to Derek Boogards funeral. Also stories slamming Brodour, Tortorella and Kovalchuck.

-E. Kane will be traded. His asking price and term will be way to much and buffalo won't want to commit to it.

I'm not sure what they are thinking. This Marner on the fourth line situation is interesting. I think it's a win win for both teams myself. Maybe JVR resigns team friendly for a few years and sees he can win a cup there instead of going for huge money some worse team.
It's interesting, I would however want to be able to talk to OEL and make sure he's interested in resigning with the a leafs if they are giving up Marner. OEL UFA after next seaso.

E. Kane on Ducks or Kings would be a great fit.
Ducks lose Eaves long term. I've always liked Kane's game. I would hate to see him on the Ducks, my most hated team. But man what a good fit that would be.

Why do people think trading up a player is giving up on them? If you're trading for OEL with Marner as the centerpiece you do it. Marner is playing 4th line. Had a great season last year hitting a sophomore slump. He will be good but i don't think hell be an OEL level player.

The Marner situation is not a slump at all. The points were there when he was dropped to the 4th line. Babcock was not happy with the defensive side of his game. Nobody is giving up on him either.
