Tor:Bracco, 3 Rd pick

Detroit: Zeterberg,5 Rd pick

Zenny could be a really good mentor for the younger leafs Yes he's old and pretty much washed up offensively but has a 3/4 liner who is a leader in the locker room I think he could fetch a B+ prospect and a late pick in a week year

i would do this but i say unbelievable. if toronto trades i think they'll look for top 2 or top 4 defenceman if anything. why would they want zetterberg's contract if he'd only be bottom 6 forward. if this happened detroit would need to retain.

NO! no trade. leafs say no. why trade any youth for a player that will retire in 2 to 3 years. We do not need Zeterberg! He is past his prime. No reason to help detroit out on a rebuild either. let them drown!

All these fools say Zetterberg is a bottom 6 forward and ''past his prime'' when he scored 68 points last season on one of the worst teams in the NHL.

With Tatar, Larkin, Nyquist failing to score Zetterberg was Detroit's only offence.

Bottom 6 forward.
Slap yourself.

If he knew he'd be a 3/ 4 liner on Toronto I think he'd rather retire. He's still an impact player and he's going to finish his career out in Detroit.

But hey I guess he's washed up offensively and 68 points isn't a lot tho according to you. :/.

Agree with TB3 here Zenny is far from a bottom 6 forward he put up more points then anyone on the leafs on a worse team.

Detroit isn't going to trade Zetterberg for numerous other reasons but if they did he would still have quite a bit of value.

Like a few people mentioned, he isn't washed up yet. He carried a team who had numerous players go on a bad offensive season. Zetterberg brings leadership, experience and is very strong on the puck. He can create chances and provide playmaking offence. If Toronto isn't willing to pay for him because they feel he is only a 3rd/ 4th liner.

Zetterberg would just prefer to be traded to a cup contender instead.

He had 68 points?! Haha holy didn't expect that. He'd be more appreciated on a Chicago or LA IMO.
