Wow kinda big trade just happend, I find it surprising.

Rangers trade - Derrik Brassard
Senators trade - Mika Zibanejad

Thoughts?

Rangers win the trade. Mika has had back to back 50 point seasons and is only 23, plus a second rounder. Brassard is good as well putting up 3 50 plus point seasons but the youth difference and the second rounder help push the trade win to the Rangers!

Also 2018 2nd going to Rangera, and 2018 7th going to Senators. No 2nds for the next 2 years for Ottawa as of now.

Win for the Rangers. Younger Player and a 2nd rounder, and don't drop in offensive production as they were very similar last season in points.

Imo I think it's a good trade each team but Rangers get a slight advantage. Simimilar production, Zbad is younger, and I think he'll be better then Brassard is now once he hits that age.

I'm trying to look at this unbiased. I still think everyone is under rating Brassard. Although I think the Rangers won the trade I don't think you guys are giving Brassard enough credit.

@Ebsolutely, you're probably right but Zibanejad isn't that far behind Brassard and he's 5 years younger.

I'd take Zbad over Brasard with age and contracts considered.
