What do you guys think of a potential trade between the jets and leafs

TOR: 1st 2015

WPG: Winnik, Robidas, Jokinen

Why? Toronto gets a 1st round pick much needed for their rebuild. Winnipeg gets Jokinen who worked out for them before brings depth and leadership/experience, Winnik who they are interested in can play top 6/top 9 and Robidas with their injured defence could give them some nice depth for a playoff push. Leafs may need to retain some salary for the rest of Jokinen's contract to make this work. Overall gives Winnipeg some nice depth and for the value a first may be a little to much I agree but they were saying winniks price could go up depending on how long he stays and starts to spark interest so any thoughts on this?

Awful for Winnipeg can get way better depth with that first in this draft class.

jokinen is worth like a 6th, robidas is worth like a 7th and winnik is worth a 3rd. 3rd + 6th + 7th = 1st? no, it doesnt.

Winnik on the 4th/3rd

And Winnipeg gives up a 1st?

Plus, according to Winnipeg's roster they will have too many players and the league won't accept.

Ok I agree that's it's to much for a first I had a feeling but Winnik is worth a second, Jokinen is worth a 6th I agree, Robidas is worth 4th most likely

Chirp goes after leaf fans because he hates them.wake up.of course some leaf fans overestimate their own teams players just like every other teams fans.difference being their is more leaf fans than say panthers fans or predator fans so it's easy for a hater to cherry pick.

@McDavid97 let us assume you are correct about Winnik = 2nd, Jokinen = 6th & Robidas = 4th would that ever amount to a chance for a generational player or the current 7th overall?

My bad, it is WIN pick going to TML, but that is still not sufficient for a late 1st much less a mid 1st.

^^^ fans overvalue tier players, non-fans under value them. Get over it.

As for the trade Winnipeg is a fringe playoff team. This is a trade for a team pushing for a cup. Makes little sense for them.

Having said this, if you have a team with a lot of injuries and you can replace those bodies with 3 players that have lots of playoff experience, maybe it's worth a conditional 1st.

Robidas is super old and gets what every year? like 3m I think. don't think he has any but negative trade value. Definitely a bad signing.
