With Riberios future in the league in question, I think Nashville will push for a centre to avoid taking a step back.

I agree kings lover but honestly they can't get picky. They need to improve their top-four. If they have a top-four of righties it's ok if they are all good defenders

I would say they could use Ellis and put him with Barrie since Barrie can play on the left said well. But they'll need a Lefty to play with Johnson someone similar to Hejda, but younger.

Avs can get more for O'Reilly if they decide to trade him and if so he isn't getting traded within the division, Roy also wants the team to get bigger and Ellis is on the smallish side, and finally Sakic stated he wants a left handed defender top play in the top 4 with either Johnson or Barrie. So yeah. Not happening

Huge overpayment by Detroit but it is the middle of the season so.
Vancouver: Antoine Vermette
Arizona: 2015 2nd rounder, Joacim Eriksson (G), Jeremie Blain
Another overpayment and i'm unsure whether Vermette to Vancouver makes sense, but he would certainly increase their playoff chances and would be likely to resign there.
Start the rebuild in Arizona!
1.) Dylan Larkin is untouchable. Also, you said it yourself in both, huge overpayments.
2.) After posting this i'm just realizing how bad of a trade that Detroit trade is. Sorry to everyone who had to read it!

Arizona: 2016 1st rounder, 2015 2nd rounder, Brett Ritchie
It will take an offer like this to get Ekman-Larsson out of Arizona.
Dallas must feel that they are only an elite defender and some solid goaltending away from being a contender.

I think its time for the Leafs to give up on this season.
Steep price for the Canucks to pay but the thought of kessel possibly playing with the Sedins should make them pay up.

i don't think that's a very steep price at all, actually would be pretty disappointed if kessel was traded for that.
2.) @Shanker, another sagacious post. Not nearly enough for Kessel, a top 10 player in the league. Horvat another prospect such as Gaunce, Vey or McCann & a 1st is more like it. With the package you suggested predsfan TML would only really be getting Horvat as a possible top 6 player, not even close to a top 10 in the league.
3.) Wait people think Kessel is a top 10 player in the league? Not even close in my opinion. Crosby Malkin Stamkos Weber Toews Doughty Ovechkin Tavares Keith Hedman are just 10 players in no particular order that are better than kessel.

Phil Kessel is an elite scorer but he is not a top 10 player in the league.
5.) I just feel that Kessels reputation is not very good right now and that some teams may feel that he may harm their teams chemistry. Corrado will be at least a top 6 defenseman for a long time and Horvat is likely to be a stud and then the Leafs get some cap space to play around with next year.
6.) Add elder or hamius and another prospect and a 6th round pick
7.) Kessel was last year and the year before.
8.) Sbr2017 top 10 scorer does not equal top 10 player. Guy has never even scored 40 goals in a season and the only thing he brings to a team is offense. He is talented, nobody can deny that he scores 30 goals most years, but to be elite you have to at least compete for the Richard trophy or bring more than one dimension to the game, and that he does not do. He would not be the top player on any team considered a competitor in the league.
9.) To all comments above. Thanks for the serious comments, greatly appreciated. I guess my point being, Nonis would not accept anything other than a good player or a really good prospect and 2 1sts. Or two really good prospects and a 1st. Or a combination similar to that. He was traded from Boston to TML for 2 1sts and a 2nd, he has only confirmed that that was a fair price. Why would Nonis trade him for anything less?

Horvat is a blue chip prospect and Corrado is already in the Canucks top 4 at age 21. Both are high end prospects. THEN you want to add a 2nd round pick in one of the best drafts in recent history?! For Kessel?!
I wouldn't trade either of those guys for Kessel straight up. Keep that malcontent away from the Canucks.

Why are Habs fans so happy lol? Smith-Pelly is a great player and will help this playoff run, but its Sekac's first year in the league and he looks determined to succeed. In the right place he could blossom into a 30 goal scorer while Smith-Pelly will never be that type of player
Youre not getting a first and huberdeau especially if you are dumping Robidas who has two more years LOL

Awful for Winnipeg can get way better depth with that first in this draft class.
