Calgary Trades
ELindholm*
Zadorov*

Toronto Trades
Lafferty
Brodie
Hirvonen (SML)
Niemala (AHL)
1st Round Pick 2025

*Calgary retains 50% of both ELindholm and Zadorov's expiring contracts.

The Leafs will actually have 1.8 million more in Cap after this proposal, but it's a really for this upcoming season only as Toronto will have a lot of core players as UFAs after next season.

The Flames are looking to the future making a deal like this, as both Calgary Players are on expiring contracts as well as Lafferty and Brodie, so the main part of this proposal is Hirvonen and Niemela plus The 1st Rounder.

CGY laughs, asks if you’d like fries with that, then blocks your number.

Quantity ≠ Quality

? Homer Trades

What did The Flames get when they traded Toffoli?
That should end your argument imo, oh I forgot when it comes to The Leafs they aren't allowed to improve even though long term Calgary improves in my proposal, and of course every team's players are worth more than any Leaf Player.
I guess you weren't watching how many Leaf Players from last year signed elsewhere even though they have zero value iyo.

Not even close to enticing from CGY's perspective.

What don't you both understand Backlund, ELindholm, Hanifan and Toffoli (traded to NJ) are not resigning in Calgary.
Conroy is in a tough position because they aren't good enough this upcoming season even if all stayed, he understands that he will have to ship them out to get something for the future or they walk for nothing.
In my proposal they are getting 2 good prospects plus a 1st Rounder for the future which is a positive move to make in their situation.
I am really curious what you think Calgary will get considering they are dealing in weakness as all these players are on expiring contracts.

If this isn't a homer deal pinball, then why does Calgary retain on their players? Would Brodie and his 5 million cap hit really be appealing to them? Seems like a dump to me. adding Lafferty really doesnt sway the deal one way or the other, just a plug basically. the 2 good prospects you mention are from 4 drafts ago and haven't got a sniff in the show, one of the two was concussed yesterday. just because they were worth a leaf 2nd rounder and 3rd rounder 4 drafts ago, doesn't mean they are worth that today. I don't mean to be offensive and sorry if I sound like a prick, but I just think there would be a better offer elsewhere.

OMG…what kind of whiney garbage is this? I am embarrassed for you each and every time you defer to your “you hate the leafs” mode whenever you post a nonsensical trade proposal.

Read the replies on this and your other one-sided leaf trades. It can’t be that everyone besides you is wrong.

As I’ve said before, stop wasting everyone’s time and just write these leaf trades on your toilet paper. This way they’ll eventually be of some use.

You seem to know everything, so tell me what you think Calgary can get for ELindholm, Backlund, Hanifan and Zadorov?
Remember all 4 are UFAs after next season and are slim to none resigning with The Flames.
Like the Toffoli trade they aren't going to be hitting a homerun in any trade.

It would have to be Hanafin, he informed Calgary he won’t re-sign. He wants to play in the US.

I don’t know “everything”, but I know a Homer trade when I see it because it ends with “thoughts? ”

I also know whining when I see it. What an embarrassing display.

You're wrong Pinball, Toffoli and Hanifin are the ones who weren't/aren't resigning. Lindholm wants to see some changes before he commits long-term and isn't opposed to an extension, the Flames put a massive offer on the table and he's currently thinking about it. Backlund wants to see if the Flames have a chance for a deep run, odds are he's sent off at the deadline. Backlund could resign, he's not opposed to it. Also even if Lindholm isn't going to resign then they'll still have quite a bit of leverage, it's not like he's telling the Flames a handful of teams he'd accept a trade to which would obviously hurt their leverage. Idk how that's so hard to comprehend. I don't see you valuing Nylander how you value other players around the league in similar contract situations.
