@memarcusjoe and @islandjet I just saw the worst trade proposal on Twitter i have ever seen. It involves the jets which is why im @ you guys.

Jets trade Connor Hellebuyck
Leafs trade Nylander (extended), Knies, Samsonov and a 1st

Like what in the actual f**k

If the Jets can flip soft Nylander for a reasonably priced forward and a 1st round pick.
The Leafs can keep Samsonov and add a 2024 pick along with Knies and their 2023 1st round pick.
Leaf fans won't like this trade because they would rather play their bottom of the barrel goalies and talk them up as if they're fantastic because they play for the Leafs.
They then will cry when they are ousted in the playoffs because they didn't invest in a top, Vezina caliber goalie like Helly.

Yeah, that sounds like something that comes from a Toronto beat reporter or something. Nylander isn't going to extend in Winnipeg and I find think would be something the Jets look at for Hellebuyck.

I don't think Winnipeg and Toronto are good trade partners.

Nylander as a UFA would return more then Buck. Ryan Miller is a comparable return. Also Flury coming off a vezina went for future considerations. Goalies=Kickers in NFL ( don’t hold any trade value. )

Also that bottom of barrel goalie in Samsonov had only 1% lower save percentage and a higher GAA then Helly last season also let’s not Compare playoff stats because Helly was awful compared to Sammy. Also take a guess who’s younger/ cheaper.
