I’m not saying Calgary would do this but I wanna hear if this is a fair offer or not from a Jets perspective. I WOULD NOT DO THIS TRADE IF I WAS CALGARY. It’s just pure fantasy

To CGY - Patrik Laine
To WPG - Rasmus Andersson, Dillon Dube, (2021) 1ST Round Pick and Jakob Pelletier

2 years from now maybe the Jets would look at this. Right now not likely.

Andersson and the first are nice, but I don't see Chevy buying high on Dube for a few fluke games and Pelletier being a winger and the last thing the Jets need doesn't add much. If the Flames add-ons were more proven maybe Chevy looks at it, but you're not getting a sure thing 30 goal scorer at only 22 for this.

Calgary doesn't have the assets to acquire Laine, we've been over this many, many times.

I am starting to think that Laine gets you McKinnon, Makar and 3 1st round draft choices.

Laine isn't worth Andersson alone. Not even if he was signed to a reasonable long term contract.

Jet fans don't post these trade proposals in which they always give up the best player in the trade. The Jets don't want or need a quantity of 2nd line forwards, 2nd/ 3rd pairing d-men, prospects and draft picks. These trades only benefit the other teams. Renidrag would you trade Tkachuck for this offer?

If you proposed Seth Jones for Laine, marcus and island would insist Columbus would have to add to that too.

You need to get your facts straight, his proposal is an EASY no from a Flames stand point, because they are giving up to much, meaning they have more than enough to acquire Laine.
Just because you have an opinion, doesn’t mean it’s a fact. LMAO.

Make that WAY too much. Calgary wouldn't do Laine for Andersson straight up. A top 4 (probable number 2 and possibly number 1 in Calgary this coming season) defensemen for a 2nd line winger?

Not a chance!

If Laine learns to play a better 2 way game AND didn't drop off much offensively, then he'll be worth that. Maybe even more though unless he turns into the next Kuchervov/ Ovechkin it still won't be what marcus and jet think he's worth. He's not in that class, not even offensively. No team is going to pay that kind of compensation for a player like Laine who's on an expiring contract and expecting a big pay raise over the $6.75 mil per year he makes now.
