Chris Chelios was 37 when Scotty Bowman traded Anders Eriksson, 1999 1st and 2001 1st to pick him up. There are rumors that Chara is being mentioned as a deadline move. Any chance that Ken Holland would trade a 1st for Zdeno Chara?

i think someone would offer a 1st for chara, but not really thinking it'd be detroit. more of a legit contender, like anaheim, I think would be more inclined to take on chara.

Agreed and my guess is he would cost more than a 1st as well.

I don't think Holland trades a first. For the price Chara could definately be gone by the deadline.

Yeah but the Chelios trade, those two picks turned into Steve McCarthy and Adam Munro.

Detroit won that trade. If whoever trades for Chara wins the cup in the next 2 years, they're going to be heralded as geniuses.
