Winnipeg Trades

3rd Round Pick 2021

Sabres have hooked up in Trades in the past and with Buffalo signing THall ect. I see Buffalo looking to improve sooner than later.

Winnipeg gets what they would be looking for if they decide to trade Laine.

Thoughts ?

Laine is not going to be traded especially for two losers from Buffalo.

Those 2 ‘losers’ would be your 2nd best Dman and 5th best forward, along with a 1st round pick for a guy who is currently your 4th best forward lol.

Its calling dumb and dumber top players that has kept the Sabres out of the playoffs for so many years. They would be expensive mistakes. The Jets haven't said they would be trading Laine and he hasn't asked to be traded.

Very easy no from Winnipeg. It's just a severe downgrade at wing and no team needs meet.

Memarcus what are the Jets team needs? Seems no matter what’s offered it meets no team needs so I’m just curious what you think Winnipeg’s needs are and why they aren’t getting met.

Their team need is players that actually want to Play for the team. That seems to be the hard thing to find. Maybe these two would like it but they’re too much of losers to be given a chance on an elite team like Winnipeg.

Didn’t work with:
Kane, Bogosian, Myers, Trouba, Buff and now apparently Laine and Roslovic.

Holy god how can you not comprehend that hockey is a team sport and the fact that the sabres haven’t made the playoffs is not due to the lack of the top players heart/ talent. The reason the Sabres have not won is due to the managements inability to ice a competitive team. Saint Louis traded for O’Rielly and that one them a cup.

Yup. O’Reilly was one of those losers in Buffalo 2 years ago. After leaving he’s a Selke candidate, Stanley cup champ, conn smythe winner and would be my odds on favourite to be named Captain in STL with Petro gone.

These two aren’t O’Reilly, but lack of success in BUF shouldn’t define a guys career either.

A Laine deal will definitely be tough to put together.

WPG will want a big haul, but it will be tough to send a big haul to WPG since he only has 1 year left until his contract is up for renewal.

Unless WPG permits potential suitors the chance to negotiate an extension, which is unlikely, it would be hard to gamble losing those assets for one year of Laine. The Hall trade is proof of that.

Plus, Laine is likely expecting a huge new deal in a years time. a big ask in the C.V. Era.

those of you who believe Laine won't be traded are sadly misguided. Winnipeg cannot afford him in the tight cap situation they are in. The longer the wait, the less value the return will be. Case in point is Trouba. He told Winnipeg he did not want to play here, had to wait until his last year of RFA, then Chevy was forced to make the move. Unfortunately, it was a good trade AND bad trade for the Jets. Pionk is the good component, the bad part is that in not making the move earlier, it had a negative effect in the dressing room and limited Chevy's trading partners. Laine will be traded or Chevy will be fired! You cannot build a team with players demanding to play a specific position and if not accommodated, (as Laine and agent state) better if we move on. just my 2 cents.
