Nic Petan [875K x 1 Year] to the Montreal Canadiens in exchange for Charles Hudon [650K x 1 Year]

Hudon: 24 Years, 32/ 3/ 2/ 5 and 110/ 13/ 26/ 39
Petan: 23 Years 13/ 0/ 2/ 2 and 108/ 5/ 18/ 23

Change of scenery. Both players could end up like Chris Mueller or Seth Griffith, or could be decent third liners or so.

The Jets don't need wingers. I'd rather use Petan to go after something we need than waste him on a player we have no use for.

I dunno man. judging by the super unbiased Winnipeg fans here I’m pretty sure Petan is worth Domi +++

In fact, the Jets have so many can’t-miss untouchables I heard the NHL is going to make them split into two NHL franchises — the Winnipeg Jets and the Manitoba Pilots — If they don’t they might as well get a head start etching their name on the cup for the next 10 years. They’re just that good. Da bestest.

I would rather see Petan packaged with other pieces for better assets.

Hudon never projected very highly, but Jets had higher hopes for Petan. Both these teams might be better swapping these guys out for futures though instead of another depth guy they each have plenty of in the system already.

Habs were moving hudon with the intention on opening up a roster spot. I doubt they would want a guy back who has been worse. unless maybe petan can be sent down without having to go through waivers. I doubt that is the case though.
