The Leafs are looking at two Swedes over in Paris. Provided they are NHL ready, they may make a solid 3rd pair (can't be worse than Polak & Hunwick).

The 2nd pairing can be filled via UFA, Dermott, Nielsen, etc.

Tbh gardiner had a great playoffs, and I just don't see why leafs are adding a first for trouba? What is all the hype with trouba like I don't understand. No from leafs here.

The leafs get their top pairing RHD. Gards played well, I agree but his value may never be higher.
