That's so tough. St. Louis declines because of age difference, but Kuznetsov is by far the best player in this trade and Alzner is getting old while Parayko and Fabbri are both very young. No from the blues.

I would rather keep Parayko and Fabbri. I think both those two will hit another level. Will see this year.

I actually think Washington declines this trade because:

1. Karl Alzner is better than Parayko simply because Parayko had one good season and Alzner has been a steady top 4 defenceman for some years now.

2. Kuznetsov has that chemistry with Ovechkin so i don't think Washington would be trading him.

Alzer is only 27, I thought he was like 35 but that's Orpik oops my bad. However, I do agree that both teams decline, but I still can't see St. Louis making the trade for reasons I already said. But yeah Tyson that's a good reason why Washington also says no. Kuznetsov is by far the best player in the trade, and Alzner is proven.

Alzner is not worse than Parayko.

Alzner has been a good top 4 defenceman and even could probably play well as a top 2 on a team with no good defence.
