They would be so close to the cap for Berglund and an extended shatty. Detroit is essentially paying 3.7 mill for a third line rw and roughly 6.5 mill for Shatty, I agree Detroit needs to add more, but to think Replacing Jurco to make the deal Nyquist, Svechnikov (who happens to be Detroit's best prospect) and a 1st is at all fair, then I'm sorry, no one can help you.

true^ honestly Colt is so hypocritical to some Oilers fans sometimes, maybe he should shut his trap, before complaining about haters.

I have to agree with Flying V here. Detroit wouldn't be able to keep Shatty given their cap issues. Maybe if you took out Berglund and added a pick of his value then Detroit would be more ok with it.

Its really Detroit's cap situation that has me against this going through unless that can be fixed (HOLLAND, YOU JUST HAD TO RE-SIGN HELM! ) .

I personally do not feel Svechnikov is worth it in a deal for Shatty. Not to mention St. Louis's ask was Larkin so clearly STL is asking for too much which might be why he hasn't been moved yet. I personally feel Svech is going to be really good in time. So i would prefer not to trade him unless its the right deal. I do not feel it is in any deal for Shatty. Which like was said by Flying V is our best prospect. Larkin no longer counts in that and Mantha will hopefully join Larkin on the NHL roster so they will both not count in terms of being defined as prospects.

guys i originally posted the following trade. Which would have balanced everything out.

Shatty Extended Ivan Barbashev 2nd 2017

Svechnikov 1st 2017, Nyquist

This is fair and helps both teams. with Vanek gone next year and nyquist gone thisyear it frees up 7 mil plus you get ELC Ivan B who is ready for 3rd line duty were svechnikov is another year away. You get a second round pick to help balance out. If you want we could have jaskin or Rattie both RFAs NHL ready.

Thats fair. I really want svech and 1st but understand cap room needs to be made for shatty.
