You could make arguments from both sides.

Realistically RNH is going to be traded for a defenseman in the near future, can't win with all forwards and Nurse, sekara, klembom, schultz are not going to be the number 1 guy on the back end.

Right now, It's a great trade for the Oilers. 2x Norris trophy winning defensman who only will get better, for essentially an unknown quantity who hasn't had a shift in the NHL (Remeber Alexandre Daigle? Yeah, I know, it's not the same.) HOWEVER. in a few years, it will in all likelihood be a lot different. McDavid seems to be an honest to goodness can't miss. I'll be the first one to say so.
