Colorado Avalanche trades Ryan O'Reilly to the Ottawa Senators in exchange for Mark Borweiesky (Don't know how to spell it) and Mika Zibanejad.

This way Colorado gets a guy on defence that I think could play perfectly with Erik Johnson, plus Mika Zibanejad seems like he could play real well with MacKinnon and Lamdeskog.

O'Reilly is a good top 6 player and Bryan Murray says he reall wants one of them, I know he would be trading a guy who was already in the top 6 (Zibanejad), but O'Reilly's got more upside to him, plus now he can sell Lehner for a reasonable price and not his stupid ass price for an inexperienced goalie.

Only problem is O'Reilly will be demanding a huge salary after his contract expires next season and with Ottawa's internal budget someone will pay him a lot more then we could offer. so trading Zbad for one year of ROR. no thank you

No way they move Zibanejad. I'd move Hoffman+ for O'Reilly and have him or Zibanejad move to the wing. But about Lehner, how is Murray asking for a stupid ask price? They traded Bishop, who had less experience than Lehner at the time and is 3 years older than Lehner, for Conacher who at the time was considered for the Calder and was considered a potential top 6 forward and a 4th. That didn't pan out as expected so why is it so outrageous that Murray wants to make sure he gets a good return.

The reason it's stupid is because Murray is asking for a pick and a top 6 player for a guy who's never actually had a solid NHL season, he was average this past season and was below average in 2014, all he's got going for him is youth. He was good as a prospect and had some nice 5-10 game stints to start off his career, but he has never been able to handle a full workload so why would another GM give up valuable assets for a guy who MAY turn out to be a good starting goalie.

Plus with Bishop nobody could have imagined he would be as good as he is today, so that really wasn't Murray's fault for the trade. But when he was traded he was at least playing well, unlike Lehner. And Bishop was saving the team's season around them in 2013 when they were all injured, when Lehner is asked to do the same he cannot be counted on.

KingsLover, you have no idea what you are talking about. Lehner had better numbers than Bishop in the 2013 season and Bryan Murray decided to keep Lehner over Bishop. Last couple seasons his numbers aren't where they should have been but that has a lot to do with Ottawa having one of the worst defences in those two years. Also it's been reported by several creditable hockey insiders that a bunch of teams are interested in acquiring Robin Lehner.

i just looked back at the stats and realized how close in games played Bishop and Lehner were, so I'll admit I got that wrong, but besides two small samples of talent that he's shown in 2013 (12 games) and 2012 (5 games), he's pretty much performed on the same level as James Reimer.

In any event, ROR for 1 year makes no sense.
