oilers: pietrangelo, steen, berglund

stl: hall, schultz

1.) 17 Dec 2014
Pietrangelo would get you Hall+ if the blues were ever dumb enough to move him. He is one of the best two way defenders in the NHL Hall doesn't have that kind of value. Berglund would get you schultz+ and then you add steen. I realize edmonton would need to get a lot for Hall but this is ridiculous.

2.) 18 Dec 2014
YOU sir are high as a kite.

your a complete person if you think that is a possible trade. let's do this. Currently just based on stats and not hype and potential this is how the players are rated by points and stats

Steen > Hall
petro >>> Hall
Steen>>> Schultz
Petro >>>>>> schultz
Berglund

No he wouldn't.

4.) 18 Dec 2014
Keep dreaming buddy.

5.) 18 Dec 2014
18 Dec 2014 10:19:45
@russian tank: Steen > Hall
Are you freakin serious? hahahhaha

6.) 18 Dec 2014
If I was st. louis I wouldn't even do Pietrangelo for hall and schultz. Its a lot easier to find or acquire talented wingers than it is to find a franchise dman.

7.) 18 Dec 2014
@Drais Maybe he thought it was about Adam Hall :P

@oil10 I agree that Edmonton would want such a return if they trade Hall. But there is basically no need for the Blues to trade Pietrangelo.

Steen and Berglund are likely to go. But not in a package for Hall.

8.) 18 Dec 2014
@Draisaitl.

Just because his potential is high (hall) doesn't mean he's a great player. He has only once reached 80 pts. once and has never scored 30 goals. Just cause your drafted #1 overall doesn't mean your the best. You =actually have to perform in a team enviroment and so far Hall and all his other #1's overall have failed to perform. He is called un coachable. So why would the blues want a player like that on their team. They wouldnt. They dumped perron for nothing because he couldn't conform. But Perron seems to be a crowd favorite cause he hussles and plays a full 200ft game something Edm knows nothing about. Keep your crappy players we don't want them

9.) 18 Dec 2014
Why would the blues make a move. They are the second best team in the west and coming on strong. Some times the best move is to not make a move at all. The blues secondary scoring is starting to kick in. I think the blues have the best team on paper depth wise. Best third and fourth lines in hockey. Why mess that up. We just kicked LA in the face. Just saying

10.) 18 Dec 2014
@russian tank but Steen hasn't done much more then Hall. Hall has about 240 pts in 290 games or so for though Oilers. For me this isn't a performance fail.

You're right. There's no need for the Blues to make a move.

11.) 18 Dec 2014
I will take a team player with less talent over a diva with all the talent in the world. Because you put a bunch of team players on the ice VS a bunch of super talented individuals and the team players will win 80% of the time.

@russian tank: Sorry, but what you're saying is just pretty dumb.
As benn14 said, Hall has proven in several seasons that has capable of putting up ppg numbers. Plus he's still very young and signed to a very reasonable contract.
Steen had a good 40 games to start last season, otherwise he's a solid 2nd line winger, nothing spectacular.
If you set his trade value at a theoretical 4 out of 10, Hall has a 9 out of 10. Easily.
So saying Steen > Hall proves you know nothing about trade value.

13.) 18 Dec 2014
Okay die hard blues fan here. In no world can you say that steener is better than hall. Hall is a world class player with some unreal offensive abilities. he's one of the top 5, maybe top 3 LW in the NHL. Heck if not that, he is the best LW in the NHL. While steen may be much better defensively, hall is still the better player. Hands down.

14.) 18 Dec 2014
Look its obvious that you value points and potential But I value hard work attitude and team play. Something your team knows nothing about. This is also what doug armstrong values. that's what Ken hitchcock demands. And that is why Steen is valued more to me an my team. that's why the blues are cup contenders and The oilers are contending for yet another first overall draft pick.

Thats all I gots to say about that.

15.) 18 Dec 2014
As in the case in washington. doesn't matter how freakin good you are, if you don't contribute and be a team player you are just a guy scoring goals all the time on a losing team.

If hall is so good why are you wanting to trade him. its funny if your team was as good as your individual players are suppose to be you would have the stanley cup right now.

RNH
Hall
Yakipov
Eberle
justin Schultz.

Thats 5 world class players playing on a losing team. :)

18 Dec 2014 22:13:46
@russian tank: I am a fan of the TBL. So EDM isn't my team, I am just talking trade value in general. Steen is better defensively and maybe as a team player. But he's nowhere near in skill, potential and age.
That's why Taylor Halls trade value is so so so much higher than Steens. Easy as that.

Oh, and btw: My team is contending for the cup as well, see you in the finals ;)

17.) 19 Dec 2014
HAHAHAHAH DID U JUST CALL SHULTZ WORLD CLASS? HAVE SEEN HIM PLAY? man please watch the oilers before u talk about them. they have four useless defence men ference shultz nikitin and aulie. they need to fix their backend to open up the offence

18.) 19 Dec 2014
19 Dec 2014 01:24:04
where are you seeing people say that RNH, kayupov, eberle or schultz are world class?

edmonsto has one elite player, hall. that is all.

19.) 19 Dec 2014
Eberle is world class hall is there two but everyone else should be sent back to the juniors

20.) 19 Dec 2014
19 Dec 2014 09:25:28
hall was top #3 LW in the league last year and will be #1 when playing with a legit #1 center in the west. No player on the blues roster I would trade hall for 1/1. any deal involving hall would start by pientrangelo + a young body that can play two way hockey

21.) 19 Dec 2014
19 Dec 2014 10:35:18
I wouldn't say Pietrangelo +.
Maybe Shattenkirk +.
But if there's a Hall for Pietrangelo deal, I'd have EDM add. Not much, but they add.

22.) 19 Dec 2014
I am not slamming Hall. I think he is talented and skilled. I think he lacks Leadership, accountability, and Heart.

Stop making excuses for him. Rick nash played for the freaking blue jackets and still managed to be a bad ass. He also lacks leadership, but plays with heart and a edge.

Justin Schultz Needs to develop. He is not bad. Petro was sent back to Juniors twice to get better and develop. Rattie is in his second year of AHL duty. Shatty played a year in the AHL with Colorado. and Is starting to become more of an offensive force than petro. Hell Pronger took two years a s a blue before other teams took notice.

the problem with your team starts with management, to coaching to development of young players. THat and you need a dam good captain to reign in the Team. The blues have david backes. Untill Hall or someone steps up and make everyone in your locker room accountable your team will never be more than dead last in the standings just showing up for a paycheck.

@russian tank: I won't discuss this any further with you.
You seem to not even read what I write. I said I am a fan of the TBL, yet, you're still talking about the Oilers as "my team".
Have a nice day.
