Shea Weber 4th round pick 2015 to the Blackhawks

Brent Seabrook Patrick Sharp and a second round pick 2015

Weber deserves a Stanley cup

Cant see the hawks doing this they would be giving away one of the top goal scores in the NHL and a solid top defenceman. Weber is a top three defenceman in the league but his contract is huge and he is already pretty old for the NHL. The hawks would not be able to have him toews and kane and their contracts on one team going forward.

2.) 19 Nov 2014
Weber has the 2nd largest contract in the NHL. sorry, but Chicago doesn't have the cap room.

3.) 19 Nov 2014
If you want weber you're giving up Kane or Toews. Chicago wouldn't do that

4.) 19 Nov 2014
With 2 key players gone you are decreasing your chances to win the cup. You won the cup 2 years ago, why can't you just be happy? I'm an oiler fan and we haven't EVEN BEEN IN THE PLAYOFFS for 7+ years.

Did you forget about cap space?

How wouldn't Chicago not have cap space?
Seabrook's and Sharp's cap space together is $11,700,000. Weber's cap hit is $7,857,143.

@ the guys talking about the cap:

you do realise weber has a cap hit of right around 7.5 mil, right? not the 14 mil + huge bonus he actually gets this year. sebrook is 5.8 and sharp is 5.9 I believe, so no, there is absolutely no cap issue at all, CHI loses cap now and in the future as seabrook is up after next year and will get a decent raise, whereas weber is signed for like another decade.

@ the guy saying weber is old

he is like 29, younger than both sebrook and sharp.

by no means am I saying the deal is good, which it isnt, but your reasons for saying it won't work are false.

8.) 19 Nov 2014
He you want the best D in the world the asking price will be kane+

Getting Shea Weber would help any team because he is top three in the world at his position. I just cannot see the hawks going forward with three players that would cost almost 30 million against the cap, sooner or later that would cause huge problems for them. If I were them I would use both Sharp and Seabrook separately in trades to get young kids with high end talent and huge potential or use one of those players to find an upgrade to their second line center.
