Pittsburgh - Simon Despres (D) and 1st round pick (23rd-30th overall)

Tampa Bay - Teddy Purcell (RW)

hayden_cb

1.) Offer that same deal to BUF and you could have Stafford.

2.) Purcell isn't worth a 1st alone

3.) You're overvaluing Purcell. Despres has the potential to be a top 2 dman.

4.) No way the can extend Stempniak if they need a bottom-six rw. Dupper, Gibbons and Bennett are possible wingers for Sid.

FLA - T. Fleischmann, B. Boyes & N. Bjugstad
EDM - 2014 1st Round Pick (3rd overall)

T. Fleischmann (LW) & B. Boyes (RW), both veteran players could lead the Edmonton Oilers, and their young, talented team, to future victories. Fleischmann could replace Smyth as 3rd line LW. Boyes could be a solid 3rd line RW, under Yakupov. While Bjugstad, a great young prospect I might add, would be a 2nd Line centerman in between Yakupov and Perron.

Edmonton doesn't really need anymore young talent, in fact, at this point i'd say they should get rid of some. Their salary cap is going to be insanely high once Hall, Eberle, Schultz, Nugent-Hopkins and Fasths contracts all run out, because they are all going to want more money obviously. They need to trade some players before it's too late and too much of their contracts has expired. If I was the GM of Edmonton, that's what I would do.

FLA trades T. Fleischmann, B. Boyes & N. Bjugstad for EDM's 3rd overall pick in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.

1.) Their entry levels all ready ran out they signed for 5-6 years long term. The cap is something they will worry about later and I doubt that fasth's new deal will be anywhere over the 4 million mark

2.) The Oilers don't need wingers. They need defense. Even If they needed wingers, this trade is awful.

3.) 102 points distributed among 3 players does not sound like the #3 over all pick. If I were Craig MacTavish, I would trade Gagner & Yakupov for veteran D-men who could mentor the crop of young guns (Nurse, Klefbom and Musil). After trading for vet D-men draft another forward (Benett, Draisaitl, dal Colle or Reinhart) to take the place of Yak or Gag. Then try to sign a RFA goal tender.

WPG - E. Kane (131 pts in 185 games = 0. 708ppg)
For
VAN - R. Kesler (104 pts in 170 games = 0. 611ppg)

Kesler can play C & RW, B. Little has kinda lost his touch and O. Jokinen is getting old. R. Kesler would be a perfect fit in between A. Ladd and B. Wheeler.

Kane would be a good fit as a 2nd line LW until D. Sedin retires. The Canucks will have trouble up the middle for a bit, but they have some amazing young talent in both B. Horvat (9th Overall pick in 2013) and B. Gaunce (26th Overall pick in 2012). So, by the time Kane is in his prime, Gaunce and Horvat should be near there prime as well.

hayden_cb

1.) The problem is that Kessler will be 30 by next season and is clearly in decline. He’s still a good player, but his style of play has caught up to him and his stats reflect that. 09/10 =. 91 ppg, 10/11 =. 89 ppg, 11/12 =. 64 ppg, 12/13 =. 76 ppg (17 games played), 13/14 =. 55 ppg.

I promise you that the Jets are quite happy with Bryan Little. His line with Ladd and Frolic put up good offensive numbers while going up against opposing #1 lines. When healthy, Kane played with Scheifele and Wheeler giving the Jets a good one-two punch. The area where Winnipeg needs to improve is with the bottom 6 forwards.

Short-term this is a lateral move at best, long-term the Jets lose big time.

2.) Ladd and Kesler hate each other. Don't think this trade would happen just on that alone.

Weber has the 2nd largest contract in the NHL. sorry, but Chicago doesn't have the cap room.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? Nonis would get instantly fired for this. I would say this would be the worst deal in the history of the NHL!

How is that rebuilding? to rebuild they need as many good young prospects as possible. I'd say they should trade Kesler and something for E. Kane. that way they keep their 6th overall pick and they get a great RW.

Yakupov < Kadri & Clarkson
Possibly even Yakupov< Kadri

OHL Stats:

Yakupov:
10-11 season (101pts/65gp=1. 55ppg)
Kadri:
09-10 season (93pts/56gp=1. 66ppg)

NHL Career Stats:

Yakupov:
(55pts/111gp) = 0. 49ppg
Kadri:
(94pts/126gp) = 0. 74ppg
